I think you gotta be a pretty pathetic fan to not be really excited about this year. The D is flat out sick and will embarrass some of the top offenses in the league, Plus Marshall taking away the ability to double cover Odell all game? If they can stay healthy we have just as good a shot as any top 10 team in the league.

We should be bringing that guy in (Hagen might be his name, something like that) It would be great to have insurance at CB, and we have the cash.

Yea the first team looked good on both sides of the ball. Collins is a beast. Still hardly any run game to speak of though. But if they can pass protect Eli the way they did the other night it just might make up for a lack in the run game. And that was without our two best receivers.

Personally I'm excited to see if that TE from Pitts we picked up last year can get the job done as far as blocking. He went down in the pre season, but from what I hear he's back 100%. That guy is a absolute beast. I think he's like 6' 6 260lbs. It would be great if the TE situation is already solved in house.

At least we can be sure the secondary can no longer help stop the run. Id think twice before I blitzed with em either. That should help the O-line right there. Now that isn't enough, but its a positive.

Exactly Jim, there is no comparing Marshall to Cruz. Guy doesn't even have to get open to be effective.

To me Shepard is really the X factor here. Odell and Marshall are going to demand so much attention that Shepard is gonna have a field day every game.

If Marshall is willing to come in at a decent price, its a no brainer, you bring the guy in. Why let Cruz go if you are not gonna make a big improvement? I agree with those saying without improvements to the 0-line it doesn't much matter, but I gotta believe we can find a way to do both. One monster LT will improve the 0-line big time. Really think they screwed the pooch tagging JP. That kinda money would have made our offense sick. We had some amazing games last year without JP. While its great to have him back again, I really hope its not at the expense of the most glaring needs on the team.

I think our D can hold em to 7 points. We held the top two offenses to 7 and 10 points. But you are right, playoff Eli would be great right now. I cant wait to see what playoff OBJ looks like.
