You dont have to tell me man, I was at the second game when Green Bay ran up the score board on them in 07. Over 40 points if I recall. Im not saying its the same situation, even though overall it is the same situation. I remember leaving that stadium thinking the season was already over. No way could they come back from those first two games, much the same way many feel right now, but they proved me wrong then. Why cant it be done again now? Its to early in the season to think things cant turn around. Now that line isnt to far from being crossed, but we are not there yet.

If they are only getting 6 wins, Id just assume they just go 3-13 again. 6 wins we probably wont even pick in the top 10. It took a big blow last night, but I still believe the season can be salvaged. The clock is running out fast though.

Flowers obviously sucks, but I dont think its as bad as this game showed him to be. Talking to some Jacksonville fans, they say this line makes every offensive line look like amateurs. Im thinking he plays much better next week. At least I hope so.

Totally agree Iceman. Lots of good things to take from this game. Barkleys rookie debut was a record breaker, Eli for the most part played really well. Defense held em to 13. Got somethings to work on, but looking at the schedule, this one was probably gonna be a loss no matter what. They were able to stay within one score nearly the whole second half. Cant wait to see Barkley against a lesser defense.

You might have been right about that one Seph. We won I think like 3 games his last year completely on his shoulders. That would have been higher draft picks for us in Elis second year if we would have lost those games. Might have had an even better draft class. They did win a Super Bowl that next year though, so no point in messing with it lol

Well that was disappointing all around. At least Barkley had a good run right out the gate. Cant believe how bad Web sucked. Big spotlight on him though. He was probably nervous as hell. Hopefully he can settle down next week.

I dont know why Lug, but I cant quote here. Anyhow yeah if we tagged him It would go against the cap of course, and he would be among the highest paid WRs in the league. Which he should be. I just dont think he should be the highest paid WR in the league to the point where we wont be able to make any moves next year. Heck with the kind of money he wants we would have to let some players go. Rebuilding the offensive line, while they made a couple good moves, is far from complete. They are going to have to spend a lot more money there next year as well. It just doesnt make sense in todays unfriendly cap hell league to pay one player who isnt a quarterback, that high a percentage of the teams overall money. I mean maybe if Eli was willing to give up a few million to help cover it, but I wont hold my breath waiting for that. Besides at this point we dont even know if the guy can stay on the field. Seems like every team we play wants to kill the guy.

Exactly Dragon. This is a business. You have to do whats right for the company first. They are already in a bad cap situation. Just pay him is easy enough to say, but the problem is the money just isnt there. The guy is making 8 million this year, along with probably millions in the double digits in advertising. Its not like this guy is hurting for money.
