  1. Just to keep the record straight though, I think the odds are next to nothing
  2. What do you think of it Herc? To me its a no brainer. If the man wants to come here, you do what you have to to get him. I thought it would be the consensus here, but I saw a couple negative opinions in the other thread. Really surprised me.
  3. DRC and Collins both said there is no need to draft a QB, that Web was the guy. I really don't know what to think about that, but it definitely doesn't hurt his case. One thing for sure they wouldn't have said it if they didn't think it was true, and the kid did get some first team practice reps. It would be great if we didn't have to get a QB first round.
  4. I almost posted this the other day, but found it to far fetched. As for those saying we don't want him, forget you lol.
  5. BS. When your offense goes 3 and out damn near every time they step on the field, That isn't gonna work out good for your defense. Add in the injuries... This season was on Reece and Mac. Now that's not to say I'd be excited about it, but honestly none of these guys have me excited. Between the Philly game, and the Washington game, it was clear they played hard for him, With a bunch of nobodies no less. I don't see why any of these guys would do a better job. I wouldn't be pissed if he didn't get the job, Im just saying I think he could possibly do just as well as anyone on that list.
  6. I guess I'm probably the only Spags supporter. I don't see how any of these people are better qualified for the job. Though I do admit a couple of these guys look like it might be worth taking a shot.
  7. I'm with Drizzle, I have no idea why anyone would be excited over this. Whatever, I'll just hope for the best.
  8. Oh yea, give the kid a game or two, that's fine. I just hope it doesn't mean they think its time to move on.
  9. I know you are pushing for Webb Nas, and I am too. I hope he is capable of being the next guy, but why get rid of the best QB in Giants history who is still able to play at a high level before its necessary? Keeping Eli at QB and giving him what he needs to succeed should be the top priority this off season. Cutting him lose for a guy (Webb or first round QB) who might end up completely sucking, seems like a foolish and unnecessary risk.
  10. I think they should worry about Webb next year, IF we end up in a similar situation as this season. Or if they draft a QB in the first. I think Eli has more then proven that if you give him the right tools he is by far still the best option. He is right now turning a bunch of nobodies into a functional NFL level offense. He can still play at a high level, and to drop him now is foolish. Give him a damn offensive line this off season and get back the guys who went down, and chances are this offense is going to play far better then if we put a rookie out there.
  11. I'm curious to see Web play. Especially now that this offense seems to have some life in it. What's that mean for Eli next year though? Playing Web in the last game might be a sign they are ready to move on. I think that's a mistake. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it.
  12. I'd be cool with him unless he like I don't know, pissed on the field or something Herc lol I haven't had a problem with anyone of the team as far as class till Tiki, and now OD.
  13. I had a feeling if you gave Eli a few weeks with these kids they were gonna get a lot better. I'm not sure its possible to lose the last two games now.
  14. Well the odds of a trade are next to nothing anyway. I'd like to think he could become as much a respectable person as he is a player. At the least stop looking like a classless clown out there.
  15. Of course he deserves it, that's why we should do the right thing and get all we can for him. We cant afford him. The team will suffer overall.
  16. By proving him right? At least as far as he is concerned? I don't care what anyone says, if you think he is walking away from the table not the highest paid WR in leagues history, you are crazy. Hasn't even hit his prime yet. Welcome to salary cap hell.
  17. The guy pretended to piss on Philly's field. I have never been so embarrassed watching a game in my entire life.
  18. Nas- Yea I'd definitely like to see ODB get traded. He is gonna be the highest paid player in the league. We wont be able to afford anything after him. Same as every other team who has the most explosive highest paid player ever on it. NTM the fact he is a total head case. This was his third year and his immaturity has only gotten worse. Trading him could make this draft the greatest of all time. You think the 9ers would give a first and second for him? I do. If not them, someone in the top 10 would.
  19. Exactly Iceman. Why bring in a old washed up guy who obviously sucks? Who spend 4 years as a GM and was fired? I cant remember that guys name from the Pats, but from what Ive seen he is clearly the best choice by far. I hope this report is BS.
  20. I don't like their pick for GM, I also think we should trade Odell.
  21. Yea you are probably right. The top 2 QB's in the draft look really good.
  22. I don't know why, but I cant quote. Anyhow the odds would be long anyway getting Cousins, but honestly I'd take him in a heart beat. Guys numbers are sick. Damn near had 5000 yards the last two years and is looking to do it again. His interceptions are really low, compared to what we are use to anyway. I think he'd fit in here just fine. Though I'm not sure he'd be worth what it would take money wise. Its really strange having these conversations, no matter what ends up happening.
  23. Anyone have any thoughts on bringing in Kirt Cousins?
  24. I think they could have been a few moves away from another run. We'd obviously be getting a ton of guys back from injury. All they would have to do is pour a ton of cash into the O-line, and this looks like a totally different team. But no. Instead they decided to throw away our franchise QB, and set us back 10 years (at least) by starting from scratch with God knows who at QB. Even if they get the top pick, and the best QB in the draft, there is a pretty decent shot he is gonna suck. And even if he doesn't, the chances of him being any good the first couple years is slim. Off season this coming year should have been about giving Eli everything he'd need to succeed. Of course that's what they should have done this past off season. Instead they decided to throw the baby out with the bath water. In the most classless way possible. Get ready for a repeat of the 1990's
