  1. Shit Sep, did I buy you one? I cant remember. Probably not. You already had 2 sitting under my seat, and thats about my limit. My bad.
  2. Drizz, I know you are hell bent on hating on Spags, but the fact is you are just wrong. Listening to Peirce, and Osi, and a few other guys he coached made me remember just how great a DC he really was. I cant even conceive why you don't think his defense cant handle a QB like Romo? That's what I loved best about Spags defense. No matter how heavy his blitzes were, he always had who ever the QB was gonna dump off to covered as well. Its a great day to be a Giants fan, and I for one cant wait to have a respected defense again.
  3. Nothing fantastic? The guy was a damn genus. I loved watching QB's sweat not knowing from which direction they would get knocked on their ass from.
  4. Steve said if the Ravens lose Sunday he will be in Tom's office Monday morning.
  5. He will be way better then what we have now. I for one love a aggressive DC.
  6. Guess there has been some talk. I know not everyone is for that, but I for one certainly am. I don't care whats happened since he left. All is forgiven, just come home Steve. Strange I cant seem to post the link.
  7. Yep. Giants are gonna get their asses handed to them by Dallas. I hate to say it, but its just the truth.
  8. If he keeps playing how he did last night, he is going to be as good as his brother. He reminded me of his brother big time last night.
  9. Oh man, since my second son was born, and since I went back to school I hardly have time to breath. Still working full time, and teaching my sons ju jit su class on top of it.
  10. Running the right routes was a problem, Plus the guy was constanly stepping outta bounds just before a huge catch. Use to drive me crazy
  11. I was gonna say no to Manningham. But since it looks like its a done deal, I guess it could work out well. Crossing fingers.
  12. Hey Bin. I didnt know you worked at Greek Peek. What do you do there? I worked winters there my self back when I was like 20 years old, doing security. That was like 18 years ago. Good times. Anyhow I think as far as offense, no one really knows what we have, do to the new scheme we will be running. I have a feeling we might be pretty hard to stop. Everything Ive heard from the new OC sounded like some pretty good common sense. Some of the things he talked about, like setting up quick passes, taking pressure off the O-line, I know Ive been saying for years. I do still hate Our DC though. Hope he can find a way to pull his head outta his ass this year.
  13. Hey guys. Great signing. This will fill a huge hole with a quality player. Our secondary looks like they will be a force to reckon with, of course assuming we stay healthy. I think this will be prince Muk's break out year as well. Judging from his play last year, I think he might end up being shut down this year. Im not to happy with the O-line, but it looks like we should be better then last year. Also I hope we can replace Tuck with someone other then a rookie. I doubt Kiwi can play as good as Tuck did when Tuck was healthy. Over all though, I think this has been the best FA period the Giants have had in some time. I know I feel alot better about this season, then I did last year at this, or any point in the whole off season last year.
  14. A dumb move indeed. Nothing like taking the element of surprise out when guessing where the blitz is coming from.
  15. Yep, then he turned them lose again the last game. It was REALLY effective.
  16. Agreed. All it did was mask how horrible our D really was, even in a few games that we won.
  17. Yea but then he abandoned everything I thought he learned during that playoff run. Right up till the last game of this season. The worst thing this team can do is keep Fewell. Not going to the playoffs this year is 100% on Fewells shoulders.
  18. Yeah, being agressive on D certainly at times can set you back. But what Spags (and a couple other great Giants DC's from the past) showed us is that if you are consistantly aggressive, and creative, over 4 full quaters, you may lose some battles but chances are you are going to win the war.
  19. I couldnt agree more. Id love to see Eli and company under a really good cordinator. But Fewell is just flat out horrible. I mean how can you go 4 full quarters with no pass rush what so ever, and not even one time think to mix things up?
  20. Hey Storm Im gonna have to go ahead and completly disagree with you here. Dont get me wrong, I hate Gilbride. And Im not going to waste a second defending him. But Fewell is down right horrible. The last game of the season showed me beyond any doubt that we had pleanty of talent on defense. Problem is up till the last game he refused to play tward our strengths. For instance, our LBers suck in pass coverage. But they are all pretty good at stopping the run, and blitzing. So when you play our defense as though everyone but the front 4 can cover, you take away our strengths. We blitzed the hell out philly. And we didnt just blitz, but were down right creative doing so. It reminded me of our glory days with Spags, and the score boarded reflected that very well. The whole time Im thinking, if we had played with this style of defense the whole year, we'd probably be looking at first or second seed. Instead we got sent home. And to me, its all fewells fault.
  21. I like Bradshaw alot. He had a great game last night. But I dont think those stats are a good reflection of the year he's had so far. He's had a serious problem with being consistant. In alot of games this year he stunk up the place, then padded his stats with one or 2 break out runs. But yea, he had a great game last night. That being said, I hope he can continue to play the way he did last night. Brown going down really sucks. The guy was money on short yards. Looks like Wilson is finnaly going to get some snaps. Hope he can replace Browns production.
  22. Thanks , you are a class act. Though I dont think you have a whole lot to worry about this week.
  23. I hate Fewell. The guy has no concept of changing the game plan when it isnt working. Whats with this guy rushing 3 linemen on 3rd and long, or 3rd and goal? I dont care how many DB's you have on the field. If you give the QB 10 seconds to throw the ball, chances are he's making a completion. This guy has me scratching my head at least 10 times a game. He has no imagination when it comes to blitzing. The difference between this D under Spags, compared to Fewell, is night and day. Anyhow, the sooner we get rid of Fewell, the better off we will be. Assuming of course we can get someone who knows what the hell he is doing. Ive never liked Gilbride either. But aside from the last couple of games, at least you can say he gets things done. Either that or Eli is making him out to look alot better then he actualy is. Not to play the roll of captan obvious, but if Eli plays his best during 2 min drill type drives, why not try it a few times right out the gate? How this theory escapes Gilbride, I'll never know.
  24. I think its past time to see what Brown and Wilson can do. Bradshaw has his moments, but obviously has had some serious consistancy problems. Though if these guys dont improve on the o-line, it wont matter who's back there.
