  1. Its like everything inside me wants to pretend its all gonna turn out good. That they made the right moves, hired the right coaches. I just cant. I think in some ways we are worse off. At least now we are getting high draft picks. At least now they are forced to do something. Will probably win just enough games to stay in the mid to high 20's for the draft, and just enough so they keep Shurmur the whole 5 years. A lesser Jim Fassel area without the NFC championship. Maybe two one and done's.
  2. If Barkley is there at 2 you take him.
  3. Does anyone know if hes actually been hired? I just heard there has been no announcement by the Giants
  4. Its been a while Nas. We never ran a 3-4 though. We will need 4 competent LBers, and some rotation guys. Right now we have the rotation guys.
  5. Exactly Sep. A head coach either needs to be feared, or has to be a inspiring, fire kinda guy. Even better, both. WTH made anyone in the office say that this was the guy? I just cant see this playing out well.
  6. Yea Im really disappointed with hiring Pat. I just don't see it. Like not even close. OC sure. QB coach, hell yes. Head coach? No.
  7. Yea Im trying to find a way to be positive about Shurmur, but it escapes me completely. He is here so, Im just gonna try not to think about it to much. Hopefully he proves me wrong.
  8. 8 D sometimes that's just the way it goes. Drastic changes can often take time. One good thing, at least for the start of the season, no one has any tape on this Defense. So there will somewhat be the element of surprise
  9. For some reason I cant quote here NSA, but I gotta say my greatest concern would be LBer. We are not completely lost there, but we are still a ways off from the talent level we'd need. I agree though, Collins is loving this right now.
  10. I don't wanna be the negative one here, and really Im not, I think its a good hire. However I gotta question what this means. We are a long way off personnel wise to run a 3-4. If they do it anyway, it could be a long year for the defense, and maybe a very short year for Eli because of it. Especially if they take a QB with the second pick. Eli will end up like Warner. In the long term, assuming Shurmur isn't fired in the first two years, Bettcher could end up being a great hire. I just question if now is the right time to completely change the D. Seems more like a long term move then a short term move. At least he has a cool name. I can see it now, "Bettcher ass they are gonna make the playoffs." lol
  11. Man this sucks. Please don't bring Shurmur here. For the love of God please, just don't do it.
  12. Yea I'm sold on Barkley. I know its a risk, but I think it would pay off yuge.
  13. Yea but you cant really blame em 8. Its not often we get the second pick in the draft. Probably wont happen again for another 20-30 years.
  14. Yea Shurmur sucks. Hopefully the Pats get stomped out this weekend, and we can end the charade of pretending to want all these shitty coaches, and get Bill back home where he belongs.
  15. I know it would be a huge risk, but I cant help but to have the feeling if we past up on that running back for a QB, we are gonna regret it for many years to come. That kid is the closest Ive seen in college to Barry Sanders or Adrian Peterson. I know there is about a 97% chance we pick a QB, but I think it would be worth the risk to take him with the second pick. Just wish we would have seen Web a little at the end of the year. At least get an idea if he is at all capable.
  16. I want to change my vote for the pick. That running back is awesome.
  17. I was thinking about this this morning. No wonder we are in such a mess. Being a NY Giant should be hard. Should be extremely difficult, mentally and physically. To the point where most people, heck most athletes couldn't hang. No wonder we dropped into crap town within one year of Coughlin walking out the door. And we even have a player admitting it. They are easy street, compared to probably most competitive teams. We can only hope all that changes no matter who they bring in.
  18. I love Collins and all, but forget him. Bill can win without him. I cant wait till a head coach is hired, so I can either celebrate bringing Bill home, or get it outta my head. Cause how awesome would that be?
  19. I could see the headline now If you cant beat em, join em with a picture of Bill wearing a Giants cap and a big old grin on his face. Priceless.
  20. Man imagine how much more Patriot fans would hate our guts. They already had to swallow two hard pills in the middle of their dynasty, then we take the mastermind behind their success? LoL
  21. I think he is like 66 years old now so I dont know how many years hed stick around before he retires. Ill take whatever hes got left though. Yea this would be the best possible scenario. Crossing fingers big time. And I totally agree. Id hand over that first round pick for him with no hesitation.
