  1. Neither team ran all over us. We were in shootouts against Dallas and we handed the game to Minny.. a far cry from being run over.
  2. Wasn't it 1998? Denver Broncos 13-0 coming to Giants stadium? The Giants were what? 5-8?
  3. Hmmm... I think we're far too proud to allow them to run all over us. I'm sure we're going to take a page or 2 out of the Eagles' and the Ravens' playbooks. I think what sets us apart from those 2 teams is that we have a decent offense that can actually score points instead of choking like the Ravens did.
  4. I'm sure that thought has crossed our minds at some point this season. However it's been my observation that Manning plays terrible in cold weather (hopefully I'm wrong). I basically looked how we get worse as the season progresses and saw his play against the Vikes and the Bears .. both games were played in relatively colder weather than prior games.
  5. Wasn't that inside the 2 minutes?
  6. I guess he's no better than Tynes.
  7. Why not? TO landed in Dallas and everyone thought he would be a malcontent, no? The Texans passed on Reggie Bush, no? The point is we wouldn't have lost a thing by giving it a shot. We know Plax is better than a 4th round pick.. which is exactly what the Raiders got from NE.
  8. How? NE England gave up a 4th round pick for Moss. I think the Raiders would've taken Plax over that pick. How much did Stallworth sign for? My guess is we could've easily afforded him.
  9. Because the league suffers from lack of decent place kickers. He's the best option out there...
  10. I agree with you. But I thought we could've wasted a down burning Chicago's last time out then run the ball into the end zone. I suspect Chicago let us score that final TD.. it looked too easy. My guess is they figured they have a better shot getting the ball back and going for a TD than us running the clock down on them.
  11. I'm beginning to think the cold weather negatively impacts Elis play. He was awful the last 2 games which were arguably the coldest 2 games so far. The late season collapses...
  12. Plax is tall but far from athletic. Give the CB credit for being athletic enough to catch it.
  13. That's what a WR is supposed to do. It's safe to say that our WR don't get open often and unless the ball is thrown between their eyes, they won't catch it.
  14. Or you can look it by saying.. FINALLY THE WRs CAUGHT THE FUCKING BALL!!!
  15. We wouldn't be the New York Giants if we did now, would we? :brooding:
  16. We may not have a choice. Droughns will get his touches either backing up Jacobs or splitting duties with Bradshaw.
  17. Is it safe to say he's gone for the season? I guess we'll get to see what Bradshaw is all about... we maybe up for a nice surprise.. who knows.
  18. Hindsight is 20 20. Who else is out there you could get to QB for you? It's not Eli's fault the Giants FO was in love with him. They saw something... whether that something is there or not is not Eli's fault.
  19. You may be on to something, Nem. Strahan probably has one more year left (2008). So while we have Osi and Tuck to man the DE position, having a solid DT may not be a bad idea after all. Regarding Satllworth, I wanted him and Moss before the season even started... Our FO had its head stuck up its ass while NE signed both. We could've easily landed Moss in a trade for Plax and we could've easily landed Stallworth.. now I don't see NE letting go of either one.
  20. I find it disturbing how quickly fans turn on their guy. I'm not the oldest here but in my life time the Giants haven't had a better QB than Eli. You all can sing Sims' praises all you want, my understanding is the guy didn't flourish till late in his career. Come to think of it, I would like to see a complete comparison between Phil and Eli.. I'm not saying Eli is the greatest QB but I'm not willing to just turn my back on my QB simply because he had a terrible game. A loss is a loss.. whether by one point or 100. Last I checked we are 7-4. And 2 of those losses came when our Defense had its head up its ass. we're 7-2 since. And only this last loss came against a team we're better than. My guess is Eli was pressing. I'm tired of seeing our WR not get open or make the tough catches.. or the easy ones for that matter. Looking at this team, the QB position is not what worries me... it's the CB position.
  21. Gateb this will be probably the first time I disagree with you. Steve Smith was drafted to replace Toomer and Moss is looking pretty good now that he's getting some touches. I do think our D will be built thru the draft.. CBs mainly.
  22. Patriots WR Randy Moss Patriots won't let him go. Colts SS Bob Sanders Colts won't let him go. Titans DT Albert Haynesworth We're pretty good at DT. Patriots CB Asante Samuel Will we able to afford him? I doubt it. I think we will continue to fortify our Defensive Backfield thru the draft. Bears LB Lance Briggs For the right price maybe. But I doubt we can outbid Chicago.. but it's a strong possibility. Chargers RB Michael Turner We're pretty good at RB.
  23. I've always stood by Eli... and here I am still believe in him. He had a terrible game no doubt about that. He's not an Elite QB but he's far better than anyone we've had in my life time... including Phil Simms (not that I watched the guy... I was too young to pay attention). And to say we should've never let Kurt Warner go? Holly crap.
  24. I'm sure every team aside from the Pats, Boys, and Packers has stunk up the joint at least once. Even the colts imploded against the chargers. We're just a tough crowd to please (allegedly).
