  1. You mean to ask you How YOUNG is he? US Pat is so old, he farts dust US Pat is so old, his memories are in black and white
  2. None of us saw that. The camera was on the ball. They never showed how covered Plax was. I saw him coming out of the huddle.. hell most of the time he wasn't even in the huddle.. and he'd walk as though his heart is not in it.
  3. Let's not question each others' football knowledge here... let's just debate and try to convince each other or agree to disagree.. I'm not looking at just this game. Plax has had good catches before.. but he's 6 5" and anyone who's played any support let alone Football and Basketball knows how HUGE height advantage is. That's why he's getting paid millions. All I'm asking is that he shows up when we're playing a good defense... and no Dallas' CB are not pro-bowl calibar. We lit them up for 300+ yards the first game.
  4. Based on his "pro-bowl" performance this year, it's not affecting him at all. Yes the play calling can be called into question against Dallas.. or maybe not since Eli took the sack instead of doing something stupid when no one was getting open. Aside from the Pass down the Middle to Toomer and the desperation pass to Moss, I can't recall anything else... Plax is paid top $ for games likes this. Anyone who's 6 5" can catch a jump ball over a 5 9" CB. I don't think you can fault for asking of our "stars" to step up when the going gets tough.
  5. He's able to play... great. So let's not use the injury as an excuse for his no-show vs Dallas.
  6. The problem is we don't see him getting the shots he's supposed to for any of us to come to those conclusions.
  7. He doesn't even have to push Toomer out of the way. Who do we have in the 3rd WR spot? And yes Toomer doesn't look good this year... maybe this is his last year (and he will leave as classy as they come.. unlike Ti...). But for now, why not insert Moss in the 3rd wr spot and give the guy a chance to play... jeeez.
  8. Actually Jim makes a great point. Why not give the guy more than one touch a game... and it's not like we're loaded with receivers. We didn't spend a 2nd round pick for the guy to sit on the bench... And watch, if we trade him or we don't re-sign him, I can see him being a star on some other team.. the same way we let Tyrone Wheatly rot on the bench only to have his shot with the raiders. How do you expect Moss to show his talents it if he's not on the field?
  9. Well I don't understand Seph's pessimism (sp). I think the Giants will run over the Lions. It's understandable we're ticked off at losing to Dallas. And people can point out to everything that went wrong. The thing that stood out is that our Pass Defense sucks... and we didn't talk about it because we were getting great pass rush in our winning streak... but everyone in the league know that the only decent CB we have is the Rookie Ross... other than him our entire def backfield is less than average.
  10. I understand what you're saying. I'm still ticked off at his towel tackle against Dallas last year. I was especially ticked off when Eli couldn't find an open receiver this last game... the guy disappeared when he shoudl've shined most.
  11. I guess that depends on how severe or even how real the injury is. I think if you're able to run the Plax has been running, I say the injury is the equivalant of a light headache. Forgive me but I still play football and we don't wear all that protective gear. I know you may have a point about the injury not healing completely. I'm having a hard time believing the severity of it.. that's all.
  12. I'm not buying. Plax has been playing at the same level ever since we got him. Think about it, playing football, you're only there in certain plays, you play less than half the game (your defense plays the other half).... I can contend that it's actually easy playing football compared to Basketball or Soccer... The guy doesn't even practice, which means he's getting plenty of rest... and how many plays does he run down the field?.. Sorry Gateb, I agree with almost everything you say here but I think you guys are giving plax too much slack... I'm still ticked off at that towel tackle against Dallas last year or the year before.. the guy has no character.
  13. The prince will have to disagree with the dog here Really, I think the so called "talent" around Eli is overrated. Plax sucks major balls. Shockey is not an elite TE but a very good one... and recently .. only this year we have a good offensive line thanks to the release of Mr False Start. Hell that's it.. who's catching the ball from Eli out there? Our WR corp are useless.
  14. Smoke one and you'll understand But really Nesta, we don't have to compare Eli to anyone. He's our QB and he plays his heart out. I have no problem with players making mistakes but I sure have problems with players not showing up to play.
  15. I'll go for the wirld card: He needs to stop whining about an alleged ankle injury. If you're injured it shows. I've spreained my ankles probably more than anyone I know (I was too fast for my own good and almost never had the proper sneakers on)... yes the ankle maybe tender at the beginning but when it warms up it's fine.. then it goes back to being tender when it cools down. I'm not trying to come off like a tough guy here but if I was able to play on a serverly spreained ankle after a 240lbs+ guy landed on top of it on a tackle from behind (his knee landed right on it and we heard a "thud")... if I was able to continue playing in a pick up football game, you damn right it should be no problem playing in the NFL.. Sorry I'm not buying his excuses. Plax is mediocre at best and he's not worth the money we're paying for him.
  16. I can agree with almost everything said above except for "Plax is a great receiver". He's not.. far from it. He has height advantage but that's it. He hardly if ever makes the touch catches a "great" receiver is supposed to make. And he disappears in prime time. He's no in the League for Randy and TO... not in the League of the Moss in DC. He's a mediocre WR who's handing of the ball will cost us dearly one day.
  17. I agree. Although I'm not sure Romo crossed the ling of scrimmage. The sad thing is their WRs were WIDE OPEN all game... blown coverages and bad CBs. And it doesn't help our WRs took the day off.
  18. Having the deep threat stretches the field... gets the players more chance to get open... It seems Eli had the cowboys all over him everytime the ball was snapped.
  19. Is that your way of saying that flat footed Plax couldn't get open if his life depended on it? Heck I can't recall a catch by our WR besides that one by Toomer. It's no wonder Eli took 5 sacks... As opposed to throing INTs left and right. Yeah we agree Eli didn't play great but to point the loss on him is outrageous. He played good enough to win. Our D was outplayed by Dallas' D and our WR were outplayed by Dallas'.. And yes I can point out the 2 calls being utter bullshit but that happens to every team every now and then.
  20. We didn't lay down and die. The game was very close till the Holding, Holding, Delay of game late in the 4th Qtr
  21. Agreed. Which makes our anger over losing this game that much questionable.
  22. Well Dallas' O line are HUGE fat guys. It's kindda hard to bull rush them.
