    Playcalling

I missed the first play of the 2nd half. Was it a pass play that got picked off?

    Bradshaw

Most of us thought we got a steal in the 7th round. This kid is special.
  3. Toomer had a bad game last week and suddenly some fans are saying he's had a terrible season.
  4. I just got back home. Only saw the last couple of plays from Buffalo's drive for a TD. Our D seems to give up a score early but they.. lights out. Let's hope this trend repeats itself.
  5. It's not that cold there today and the field condition looks very good. Eli "should" have a good game.
  6. No one said you have to make it in the big leagues to be an athlete. Quite frankly, I wasn't blessed with parents who cared about sports. I played on my HS soccer team and I made the SJU soccer team.. except I had to work full time to keep my head above water... like paying my rent and what not. Who knows what kind of athlete I might have turned out to be.. had I had normal circumstances, no? Even now I look for young guys to play football with since they can run.. as opposed to guys in their late 20s early 30s who play one game a year or none at all.
  7. I didn't say I was giving Eli throwing tips. You're making shit up.. typical bullshit. It shows
  8. I didn't say I can "fix" Eli Manning. Amazingly enough, it's often the little things people have to fix to get shit right.
  9. I fancy myself? Dude I can out run you and out last you on any given day. I am an athlete. I don't have to be in the NFL or the NBA to be an athlete. Just because you and 65% of your countrymen got a spare tire, it doesn't mean everyone else lives on the couch. Quite frankly you come off jealous... Don't hate the player.. get off the couch.
  10. Good. That means when we head to Tampa we're the underdogs...
  11. There's nothing to write. The only thing I want is for him to be shipped out of NY.. that's all. As far as your lame shot.. just look at Eli. Watch his body language.. the cold weather affects him greatly. And he just sits on the sidelines.. he doesn't even warm up like his brother Peyton does. You don't see these things... Notice how his game goes down the drain in cold weather... What you don't think Eli Manning can use some advice from a fan.. who happens to be an athlete?
  12. Nesta, just keep it in perspective. The guys I play against may not be the biggest bad asses out there, but when the 282 lbs big Jacob barrels at the 135 lbs Nas... You bet your ass Nas is bracing for collision and some major pain. I can tell you this though.. I will never go down just because someone touched my jersey.. or a towel.. in Plax's case.
  13. That's beyond the point. I can argue that I don't wear all that protective gear the pros wear. I've had many many ankle sprains some were far worse than others. My "backyard football" doesn't live up to that of the NFL but the injuries we suffer there are the same... probably worse since we don't have "trainers" on hand. Unless you mean to argue that a hamstring pull on national TV is far worse than a hamstring pull say.. on Fitch High football field in Connecticut.. or that a severe concussion on National TV is far worse than a severe concussion suffered in Fort Campbell (military base), KY. Regarding the importance of a catch.. I'm not disputing that a TD catch is important. I'm merely stating that a receiver doesn't do anything differently in the end zone than anywhere else on the field... ball is in the air.. adjust body.. reach.. catch. boom.. now dance like a clown becuase the cameras are on you.
  14. so true!!! Excellent article, Tree.
  15. I happened to disagree that an ankle injury can linger for a long time. From my own experience, it may only feel awkward in the first few minutes of the game.. and that was basketball, mind you.. when you don't get to stop running back and forth... soon after it warms up, you're good to go. Seconly, a TD reception is in fact another reception... it caps a drive... it's as important as a catch for 8 yards on first down... a TD catch is magnified because the result of it adds 6 points to the score.. but does a WR has to do ANYTHING different? does he use a 3rd hand? I've been complaining about Plax's lack of effort since that towel tackle against Dallas. Sure once in a while he'll make a good catch.. but so does Santana Moss. All I'm saying is that if you're really injured, sit your ass out and HEAL so you can come back and play at 100%.... Forgive me but I'm not buying into this "injury"... it could be because I know what an injury feels like... 4 concussion (1 mild) and 4 pulled hamstrings so far... and those are probably the only injuries that fucks you up... I learned the hard way to sit my ass down with that pulled hamstring... it's not fun. I realize we're arguing about opinions here.. most of you here believe Plax it be really injured.. and I feel.. well maybe it isn't so.
  16. VG, I don't want to come off like some self-righteous prick. I'm not.. it's been my observation that Plax never lives up to the hype. An ankle injury shouldn't linger.. not when you rest it over the bye week.. and not when you only run on Sundays.. and only on selected plays: Football is not a full time sport... the offense is on the sidelines while the defense/ST is on the field. I have played soccer, basketball, and football.. and when I played football.. it was full time.. offense, defense, and special teams. The reason Plax doesn't look right out there is because he's out of shape... that's my opinion.. and I admit I can be dead wrong... Now, I'd appreciate if you entertain the thought that you also could be wrong.
  17. That used to be the old way of thinking. The stupid way I must add. I played with a fractured ankle. I limped to my car, took the duck tape out of the trunk and taped my foot.. so heavy the tape was it looked like I was dragging weights.. and went back to play the game.. a pick up football game mind you. Does that mean it was the right thing to do? The right thing to do is to heal the injury so you can come back far more effective.. and not to make it worse. So no, forgive me for not buying into the "pussy one" response of yours.
  18. This is the same professional athlete who threw his arms in the air every time a pass didn't hit him between the eyes? The same professional athlete who gave up on a pass that pacman jones didn't? The same professional athelet who went down when the defender touched his towel? How hard could it be to run a route? This is what they do for living, no?
  19. Umm.. that's part of faking it. It's a fucking ankle. It doesn't linger all season long. And we all know that if a player is injured, he sits. Maybe you're just one of those who believe everything.
  20. Two things, Tree. I don't believe he's really injured. I believe he's exaggerating or faking an injury to avoid practice. And secondly, a TD is just another catch.. that happened to be in the End zone so I won't put too much stock into hom many TDs a Receive has... especially when he's towering over any defender.
  21. I'm sure I have and will.. just nothing I can think of at the moment.
  22. TO is the jealous kind I see.. lol. Btw, I agree with the title of the thread.. this is really dumb.
