  1. Excellent point, VG. I don't think we should complain about the coverage they're getting. They're 15-0 overall. I think Osi put it best when he said (paraphrasing) that the Pats are not Jesus Christ and the 12 disciples (not that I know what that means)... but I get the jest of it. The Pats can be beat. I'm glad we're playing our starters. The very facts that Plax practiced even part time and BJ practiced full time tells me those injuries are not there anymore... I hope we play very well even in a losing effort. I hate it when we get embarrassed on National TV.
  2. They're not "fans". They're businessmen. They are season ticket hodlers because I assume they end up making money by selling those tickets on Ebay and what not. If the organization cared about the fans.. real fans that is, they'd do away with waiting lists and season ticket holders... I think.
  3. 10-0 is a far cry from 15-0. We can see there is legitimate arguments for both sides. I favor playing to win. Rest the injured players only.
  4. I see your point and I do understand it's very ligitimate. I still think we should play our starter - the injured ones. And if by half time, the game is lost, we can rest them... I guess we'll wait and see what Coughlin decides to do.
  5. The way I see it, if the Pats "destroy" us, we have no business being the Playoffs.
  6. I understand we need to rest our injured players. But those who are not injured... let's face it, the Giants come out rusty after a bye.. what makes you think they'll come out fresh against Tampa? I can make the argument that we need to play our game... and we can use this game to try plays we wouldn't otherwise try... hell it's on National TV. If we beat the Pats, great... who said we can't beat Tampa anyway?
  7. No. I think the road to the SB goes thru Saturday Night's game. I don't want the history books to list the Giants as one of the teams the Pats mauled on their way to destiny. The shit is, people get hurt when they're afraid to get hurt. I say rest Plax (not becasue I believe he's injured anyway).. but rest him anyway... he's not been that great anyway) BJ's injury is healed.. he practiced.. a little bruise in the ankle doesn't stop an athlete.. and in 2 or 3 days it's fully healed. Play to win the game. That's my opinion and we can agree to disagree.
  8. Yep, and I will get to watch my team play on National Television.. being part of history.. even in a loss. The good thing about this is we're not pressured to win. A win would be great.. but if we don't oh well.
  9. Thank god I'm not the only one who thinks we should play our best game. This is our SB.. on national TV.. 3 channels... everyone except for NE fans will be rooting for us... even Eagles and Dallas' fans. And we're the underdog.
  10. Exactly my point. We have nothing to lose by playing our starters anyway.. if anyone gets injured, so fucking be it. It's what it is.
  11. I disagree. I think we should rest the injured players only. This is our SB. If we win this game we go into the playoffs with momentum. Besides, when was the last time the Giants came out "fresh" after a bye week or a week off?
  12. If I recall correctly, you already lost to NE.
  13. NICE!!! The first ever 3 channel simultaneous broadcast... HD BABY!!!
  14. Well, injuries are part of the game. I don't think TC has any pressure. It's a no-brainer he'd discuss this with the front office and they decision will be theirs... collectively. I don't think we should fear new injuries.. sure, let's rest our injured players.. it's not like Plax has been unstoppable anyway. If Jacobs is 100%, he plays.. otherwise, he sits.. let Droughens do the heavy lifting... to set up Bradshaw.
  15. I think Coughlin will take it up with the Owners and management. He'll say that he's conflicted. They'll tell him they wouldn't mind if he plays his starters and win the game.. and whatever happens happens. Knowing he's got the green light, he'll play to win... If we win, everyone will be happy... and if we lose, some fans will get really pissed at him for not resting his players. I won't. I don't want the Pats to get to 16-0 at our expense.
  16. After my little awkward situation last year, I don't want to go to a bar. As most of you guys know.. I look Italian... let's just say more Italian than Irish. I made a few phone calls last year and did an internet search to find a bar nearby that had the NFL network. Not sure why there were lots of weird looks from those Irish Patrons... Let's just say it feld weird... Everyone knew one another and there's Nas sitting there trying to mind his business.. but those weird looks were hard to ignore. That's my concern. Channel 9 isn't HD (doesn't have an HD equivlant).. oh well.
  17. It's pathetic but there's this "rumor" that the Giants won't play most of their starters. I can imagine if the Giants are taking this game as a must-win... are they?
  18. I don't know if anyone here agrees but I don't like the idea of not taking this game seriously. Deep down inside I want us to beat the Pats... go into our game with the Bucs with the momentum. I think we can do it without Plax being in the line up.. he's been less than average anyway.. http://www.nypost.com/seven/12252007/sport...4054.htm?page=0
  19. I think our Defense, with the exception of Madison, have been pretty good tacklers. Madison look like a little kid pretending like he wants to tackle...
  20. He's not the superstar we thought we got back in 2004.. but a bust? I don't know.
  21. I wasn't excusing Eli at all. I think by now we all realize Ben is the better QB.. but hindsight is 20/20.
