  1. Badegg was a troll. EyeThai Hotdawg I actually liked, mainly because unlike all us Gint homers he would bring the valid negative point from time to time about the team, althought he basically disappears whenever the Gints do well so yeah he does act like a troll.
  2. It's why I wanted the Gints to give to coaching job to Doug Marone(sp?), all reports were he was going to bring his best buddy here Marinelli to coach the defense, who is honestly one of the more underrated DCs in the NFL.
  3. Actually most NFL teams are getting rid of the ball quicker than in recent years. The game changes every handfull of years. You have defenses that have DEs who can run the 40 faster then most RBs in the NFL. QBs dont have the same time as they did in the pocket 10 years ago. Gone are the days of five and seven step dropbacks. It's why you see so many possession WRs with the production that they do and less emphasis on the "grey hound" WRs who run fly routes every play.
  4. This makes absolutely zero sense. You're saying the reason those guys were injured/done was because of where they lined up at WR?
  5. Everyone said the same thing about Nicks, Smith, Odell, Cruz, Randle, etc, etc. The Gints move guy around everywhere and Shepard has everything he need to play on the outside.
  6. Unlike the last 15 off seasons LB isnt a concern to me, draft acouple guys and see if you get lucky but as it stands I'm happy with the current LB group and there are more pressing needs. I think the biggest areas of need are the OL, TE, WR, DL in that order. I hope they go after a decent guard/tackle in FA, as well as maybe a TE/WR. Use the draft to grab some OL and DL depth, both lines need to be improved IMO. It all depends on who leaves and who they resign, but as it stands I want them to invest more into the Oline and Dline (pass rushers mainly). I think Shepard will be fine on the outside in his second year and will draw coverage away from Odell, but a vet like Britt would help as well. Also take the playcalling duties away from MacAttack.
  7. As much as I want to believe it, I don't see it happening. Seems NFL agents/players/owners have forgotten about "home town discounts" or whatever, plus I cant see the Dolphins letting the guy walk. Besides if there's anyone I want the Gints to take a look at it's Britt or even Pryor, both of them would want to get onto a more than mediocre team they are on now and would both make big complements to Odell.
  8. Honestly the best thing that JR or the FO can do this offseason. Take McAttacks play calling duties away and go and hire a real OC. I think he makes a fine HC, but I don't want him in charge of calling/designing the gameplan every week. He's not a "guru" and so far nothing of what he's shown is anything like what Green Bay likes to run besides speeding up the throwing time, which can be more of an effect of the Oline then the scheme of the offense.
  9. With how everyone and the media expected the Gints to go 2-14 with the performance in the preseason, I'm not considering 2017 a loss by any means, or willing to pass judgement until week 16. There are flaws on the team like every team in the NFL, even the best GMs in the NFL cant plug them all in one off season, it's up to coaching staff to get the players to play at the best of their ability, and the GM to find players who have the skill and ability to be coached. Overall the last five years have shown a flaw in how the Gints are approaching the drafting and coaching of players, many drafted players have failed to develop into an NFL quality starters and it's hurting the team now in the final years of Eli's career Can it be blamed solely on JR? No. The Oline coaching on this team has failed to develop any starting group since the years of the big 5 in Diehl, Snee, Ohara, Sueburt and McKenzie, despite having talent drafted in those positions. The game planning all throughout the season has been spotty, which once again falls to the coaches, who luckily have had a string of weaker teams that couldnt get out of their own way. Like I said I know myself I didnt think the Gints would be able to compete for a playoff spot for another three to four years of rebuilding, with a new QB/GM/HC at the helm, many here also said the same thing. I don't see why we shouldn't enjoy this ride of the 2017 season with the Gints actually in position to push for a spot in December, when many thought the season would be done before that.
  10. I think Shepard is going to be kicked outside after this season. I really don't see why people wouldn't want him there.
  11. Like I said in the previous thread, I've been saying this since the day he was drafted. You cant teach "Mean and stupid" He could get away with it in college, but he cant in the pros. They guy needs some serious coaching before he's anything more than what he is now, and unfortunately the beat Oline coach the Gints have had in recent memory, he got fired because Flowers didnt like him.
  12. No reason to go all "dude mode" when he brings up a valid point.
  13. Much like the Gints they have benefited from weaker opponents on the schedule. However they play safe and smart football. They can control the game with their run game and then take chances with Dak pushing the ball down the field. Dak so far doesnt look like a rookie I don't know how they lucked into the guy but he looks like he's been in the NFL for the last four years. Their defense isnt top of the NFL but they can get it done when they need too.
  14. That's what confuses me, Manning used to be money fitting the ball in past 25 yards, and anything short would sail 15 feet over the WRs head.
  15. That's the problem with penalties, they happen every single play. I listening to a Rich Eisen podcast or whatever where he talked with a ref about the idea of adding more refs on the field to pick up more calls/clean up the game, but the ref went on to say that it isnt a matter of missing calls but which calls to make. There isnt a single play run in the NFL that a penalty doesnt occur in some form. Holding, illegal contact, illegal block, whatever.
  16. I don't know if it's a slip up on his part because he's really fucking the dog today.
  17. AHAHAHA They gave up a first round pick for this guy
  18. I'm not saying Jackson isnt a good coach I just dont understand the love the media gives him, like he's a proven commodity. I really hope Haslem? Whatever the owners name there is, I hope he doesnt fire Jackson and CO. You gotta give your coach/GM a chance to implement their plan, it might not work out like Kelly with the Egils or it might bring you to the big game like Coughlin. It still puzzles me though teams like the Browns/Lions/Vikings just can never seem to get their shit together. Houston and the Jags are still suffering from "new franchise" blues but they are getting to the point where all you can expect from them is bottom of the league franchise.
  19. Yeah dont understand the love. Good coordinator, but don't understand why everyone is riding his dick about being able to turn teams around when he's never shown anything of the like.
  20. The Pats were about to bench the guy/cut his starting time from everything I read about the situation.
  21. Considering most here had the Giants going 1-15 with what they seen in pre-season, I think most should be happy with the progress made this year. I mean they might just make it into the post season with a flawed team, they can only really build from here.....hopefully.
  22. If it was any other team in the NFL, but not the Browns. The team has practically given up on the entire year and are just showing up for paychecks at this point. None of them will "want to rally for a win" since it doesn't help them in any way. Defense will show up as always probably hold them to 14 points. Offense will continue to struggle to maintain drives and only score 17.
  23. I think he's easily a DPOY winner at the end of the season. Guy is playing the best at his position right now and he isnt slowing down. His contract is going to hinder the team though, we should trade him when we get the chance.
  24. I'd give it a go as the Brown's QB. Maybe OC after it doesnt work out.
  25. Rapistburger about to break a lot more hearts in Cleveland, team is a dumpster fire that just cant be put out. Oh now that Trump is soon to be President, does the NFL need to keep hiding what Ben does every Sunday to women? since you know it's all cool now.
