  1. You have to wonder if the Gints are going with the whole "Spend money like a muh fucker" to milk Eli's last couple of seasons before he's gone. I mean this move doesnt make sense from a down the road point of view, since there is zero guarantee that JPP signs a long term contract. I just don't know what direction JR is trying to take this team.
  2. Well unless he walks next year then the Gints get nothing.
  3. I thought even with a deal the tag still stands and he'll make 17 million regardless. Let the Jags overspend on JPP.
  4. 17 million against the cap. Should of just let him walk.
  5. I think this draft is really going to tell where the Gints are going in the next number of years. I mean with guys like Cutler, Rapistburger, whoever contemplating retirement, I wonder if the Gints are going to start thinking of the post Eli era. Eli has got to be thinking about the condition of the Oline and his health, I mean one bad hit and he could be walking the Forest Gump the rest of his life. Do the Gints go and fix the Oline and load the offense with weapons in FA/Draft trying to get another miracle playoff run out of Eli? Or are they going to start taking the "long game" and putting pieces in place for Eli's successor to walk into a well developed team like the Steelers did with Rapistburger, the Cowboys were set up with Dak, Seattle with Wilson, etc.
  6. You're probably right, it just seems like the kid is running through truck sized holes on every video you see of him, which isnt what the Gints do. Go get some Oline which is needed horribly on this team, then it doesnt matter who is running the ball. I just dont want the Gints to waste a first round pick on a RB who isnt going to do much besides having to avoid tacklers in his face every snap.
  7. McCaffery in the first? I don't understand the fascination with the guy, he doesnt look like anything more then a situational/return type of player. Plus if the Gints dont draft OL/DL in the first round I think they can expect another season of the offence stalling and the defense allowing the opposing QB 15 seconds to throw.
  8. He's a good long snapper, and contributes on special teams. Not every single player on the roster is gonna be OBJ.
  9. Honestly I want the Gints to make a push for a guy like Jonathan Allen. The guy is going to be a stud DE in the NFL and is exactly the player to replace JPP, not to mention he already knows the position better than JPP. He's a leader and the piece that Spags will want on the Dline to get back to the Nascar package days.
  10. And I see it the other way around. Vernon has shown he's the best DE on the team and why he's getting paid like it.
  11. Oh I heard that wrong then I thought the NFL network was saying that the Vikings would take the cap hit, which is a reason he's stil sitting on the team.
  12. AP is under contract for another year though, unless the Vikings pull the plug and take the cap hit, the Gints may have to throw a pick their way for him. I wouldn't do anything more than a 5th.
  13. This. Vernon is clearly the best Dline player on the team but JPP is an easy second by far. However I don't think JPP is 15-20 million a season type of a player. I think in all honesty he should be signed on to a 8-9 million a year type of thing. Anything more I say let him walk and draft one of the crazy talented DEs in this years draft in round one.
  14. Let JPP walk. Use the money saved to get a few more pieces of the puzzle in FA. Not to mention doesnt this years draft have a ton of pass rushing depth? And holy hell if the Gints think they can release DRC to keep JPP they are delusional.
  15. I dont know what you would say to a team though. "Hey want this way past his prime slot WR who has lost all of his speed and explosiveness for a 7th round pick? Ok well how about a few towels and a diet coke?" I mean don't get me wrong in his prime the guy was a good WR for the Gints but as it stands right now Cruz has as much value to a team as any one of us lol
  16. It's fucking ridiculous a guy like Marvin Harrison gets in who in his prime wasnt even the best WR in the NFL not even in the top 10, a guy who owes his entire existence to Peyton Manning gets in, but yet TO who did nothing but destroy the NFL game after game despite what team he was on, is snubbed because of public opinion.
  17. Naww no mock, but who's on first, what's on second and I dont know is on third. I just never had a problem calling Tomlinson LT, two different generations of football, two different positions. Both top players in the NFL when they played, one defind the position, the other carried a team his entire career. But back on the actual topic. Outside of LDT and Anderson I don't think a single person on that list was even the best at their position when they played. You can make a case for Jerry since he made the Cowboys an entertainment/merchandise juggernaut.
  18. Shouldnt the fans care what LT has to think about what LT thinks about LT? I mean only LT can have the final word on LT and what his opinion is on LT. I would imagine LT is probably friends with LT since LT is always being called LT even though LT was the first LT and us Giants fans had to make a big deal about LT and when LT played since he was the only LT but now there was this new LT. LT is still a position of need, maybe we can get LT's opinion on what the Giants should do about LT and if they need a new LT or to keep their current LT. Maybe we can get LT in as a coach since former players can usually make decent position coaches, especially if LT can coach LTs.
  19. I thought this whole thing was settled when LT said he has no problem with LT being called LT. I think we also need to draft an LT.
  20. Here's the 2017 class; Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2017 Inductee Pos Team Years Morten Andersen K Saints, Falcons, Giants, Chiefs, Vikings 1982-2007 Terrell Davis RB Broncos 1995-2001 Kenny Easley S Seahawks 1981-1987 Jerry Jones Owner Cowboys 1989-Present Jason Taylor DE Dolphins, Washington, Jets 1997-2011 LaDainian Tomlinson RB Chargers, Jets 2001-2011 Kurt Warner QB Rams, Giants, Cardinals 1998-2009 Outside of LT and maybe Andersen not a single person on this list strikes me as "best of the best" This years class is arguably the weakest I have ever seen and with players like Dawkins, TO, Craig, etc guys like Warner, Taylor, Davis shouldnt even be considered.
  21. I still think the Gints could do better at DC. Hope he can continue to build the unit, would like to see the Gints draft JPPs replacement (let him walk) and get back to having a pass rush that teams have to fear. I have no problem with MacAttack not shuffling the staff around, the team did make it to the playoffs but he really needs to get his shit together with game planing/calling. Give Sullivan a chance, I honestly think Benny could become a better HC if he didnt have to call the plays week in and week out.
  22. Inst McDaniels basically the top HC prospect this year? All on NFL network this season they were talking about he's pretty much 100% gone and will be a HC somewhere.
  23. It's funny the first half I was thinking "Man the Pats looks like the classic Gints" and the second half it was the Falcons.
