  1. I even said it myself he isnt a HoF player but he is a better player than what we had at the RG position before.
  2. Actually I think he's better than Newhouse, Hart and even Flowers at this point. He's a starting playing in the NFL, just never lived up to his draft position (like Flowers so far) I'm not saying Fluker is gonna be in the HoF but his signing basically solidifies the right side of the line. People wanted the Gints to fix the Oline, although this isnt a long term solution it's a one year stop gap to a problem.
  3. Solid move. The guy is looking to shed his "bust" tag. He'll be starting at guard or maybe if desperate enough tackle.
  4. He's basically the future that Flowers is looking at if he doesnt improve. By all rights a "bust" but he improved when the Chargers kicked him into the guard position. Had a really good rookie year, but just didnt improve after it.
  5. People said Randy Moss was the same thing heading into NE. Straight line runner who could only play in a dome and was well over the hump. Worked out pretty well for NE.
  6. I think Pugh, and Richburg are two guys who should be in Gints blue for their entire starting careers. Both of them are building blocks on the Oline and hopefully Flowers will be the next.
  7. At this point in time I don't think anything Billy does is anything less than football genius. Maybe they are more concerned about Gronk then they will let people believe. Maybe they want a starting WR who can run more than simple 15 yard routes.
  8. When's the last time you've ever seen NE chase a player besides Brady? The franchise could turn over the entire roster every season and still make the playoffs.
  9. But they put up with it until now? It doesn't make any sense at all. Not to mention his drinking buddy with Allen from all the reports.
  10. http://www.sbnation.com/2017/3/10/14542994/2017-nfl-free-agency-martellus-bennett-signs-packers I'm still surprised JR thought this guy wasnt worth another contract.
  11. The problem I have with all these reports is that they make it seem that the moment that Scot stepped into office he had a drinking problem. So basically the Redskins put up with his drunken antics for two years with no problem then SUDDENLY they decide it's enough. I just think baby Snyder got his panties in a bunch when he finally had a GM telling him "No"
  12. Cousins telling the Redskins that as long as Bruce Allen is the team president he wont sign a long term deal. Dumpster fire of an organization. Shame it's fallen so far since Snyder bought the team.
  13. Skins sign Pryor and Cousins signs the tag. Something like 35+ million in cap on two players for a single year.
  14. Also. I don't think anyone is "happy" with the OL situation, I wasnt even happy with it at the beginning of the last season. However the Gints still made the playoffs, relying (and rightfully so) on their heavily financially invested defense. The D has remain practically unchanged from last year and I suspect they will only improve as a unit.
  15. I dont think a team can "win or fail" at an offseason until week 16 rolls around, I mean look at what happened to the Eagles "championship" offseason. If the Gints are heading into the playoffs again I don't think anyone can say such things. If the Gints are 2-14, Eli is on IR, OBJ has been traded to the Pats, and Flowers has knocked up MacAttacks wife, then you can say it's a failure. And yes I agree players flame out in the NFL, I was the biggest Moss supporter around here, but the players still need a chance to improve or atleast show that they can. You don't just bail on a plan after two years, that's what the Redskins do.
  16. To be fair after thinking on it some, we have seen the type of player progression in our very own Gints. Webster was benched outright and regressed year after year, and he turned into a top 5 corner in his prime years. Manning sucked donkey balls his first few years not really showing much progression before turning the corner in 2007. Hell it took blowing his hand off for JPP to finally learn how to use technique at the DE instead of just trying to out physical the OT. Flowers isnt going to get better sitting on the pine or the Gints throwing money at someone else, he just hasnt shown that he can take a step forward either. It's silly to give up on a player like Flowers this early, but it's not unreasonable to think if he doesnt show any improvement by the end of his four year contract he wont be in blue after it (but the same can be said for any player not performing lol)
  17. Just when you think the team is headed in the right direction. I guess losing your two starting WRs and not being able to work out a contract with your franchise QB is a deal breaker lol http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000792082/article/redskins-fire-general-manager-scot-mccloughan
  18. With the contracts being signed by Wagner, and what's his face that the Rams grabbed, the moment that the Gints offered JPP the tag there was zero chance they were gonna get a starting OT in FA.
  19. Oh another reason I like this move. MacAttack finally has his "H back" type of player like he had in GB. A TE who can lead block, pass block, run block, and catch the ball fairly well out of the backfield or on the line. Reminds me of a more versatile Kevin Boss.
  20. It reminds me of when Ditka traded away an entire draft plus some to the Redskins for Ricky Williams. The Redskins should of been a franchise for the next 10 years with all those picks, instead they just went through coach after coach and player after player. There's no more excuse for Hue Jackson, if he's really as good of a coach as the NFL raves about him for some weird reason, this team will be a contender in the next four or so years and shouldn't let go.
  21. Not to mention, when you are drafted top 10 in the NFL you should be coming into the NFL with the skills/development to be thrown into the fire, after playing in some pro college scheme or just having good coaching. Flowers instead has been getting steadily worse as he's played more. I want the Gints to hold him until his rookie contract is up but the guy needs to get his shit together or else end up on the next NFL networks "Drafts bust list"
  22. Yeah we lost one of the best Oline coaches in the NFL for one who seems to be unable to develop guys.
  23. PFF seems to be the "we like to think we know what we are talking about with silly stats" type of thing. The talking heads on NFL network though seem to think he's the day one starter and probably better than most of our oline at run/pass blocking. The Gints probably overpaid for him though, but when youre desperate for help the market decides the price.
