He was never as bad as everyone said.

He was bad here, let's not kid ourselves.

I believe both these statements are true.

Someone finally taught Will Hernandez not to spin around in a circle and touch no-one on passing plays.

They taught him to get his hands/body on the defender, in order to block him.

Unfortunately, Glowinski took over as our resident "spin around in a circle and touch no-one" OL blocker.

:laugh::laugh:  They would be better to go back to the crossed arms technique when linemen could not extend their arms of the 70s and before, if this is what they are going to do.:laugh::laugh:

Also I may be wrong... with the amount of misdirection plays we have going on... it requires better technique from a limited line.  They might be better off with the helmet on helmet straight forward run game rather than the pulling guard trap game they are mostly playing now for the Giants.

Depends on your definition of bad.

I mean "He's Bad" could means he's good.

My head hurts. 😞

It can be both bad coaching and bad players as well. Nate Solder, Halapio, Chad Wheeler, Cam Fleming, Patrick Omameh, Matt Skura, Spencer Pulley for instance were bad players. No amount of coaching was helping those guys.

lol.... Hernandez was a bad player. Fans talked about him like he was the worst starting guard in the league. But he never was *that* bad.

we’d be happy to have him now that Lemieux is the starting left guard.

If we took him back he'd just start playing like Will Hernandez again.

Lemieux replaced Hernandez when he was here.

What's true. Hernandez did not play good football while he was here and didn't deserve to be resigned. It's pretty obvious we had bad coaching. But when you see a guy who stops playing after his initial block, that's not coaching, that's him.

And just maybe the fact he didn't get re signed and had to go earn another job was the kick up the ass he needed.

That’s some insight right there.

That was a serious injury ago.

Hernandez got Covid and Lemieux replaced him. He didn't get his place back when he recovered.

Hernandez was a starter his last year here because Gates and Lemieux had season ending injuries.

If he was worth keeping, we'd have signed him. Schoen has shown that he doesn't care about who drafted you, if you're good he's going to try and keep you.

BIC will be posting an "Erik Flowers - we got that wrong also"  thread later. Surprised he hasn't already.

yeah I remember. Until the injury problems Lemieux looked like a keeper.
