JackStroud
A reporter on ESPN radio 1050 today joked about "Jerry Who?" Said Jerry had a good 1st draft and has not been heard from since......kind of cruel (Did he realize Hakeem Nicks was a rookie last year).......but I got the point I have to agree though with the Santonio Holmes signing, and it looks like Jason Taylor right behind.......Braylon Edwards, Cromartie, LT.......etc etc etc It looks like the Jets are out to make the Giants the Jr tenants in "X" Stadium.........By the way, when is X going to get a name??........the Press is calling it "Meadowlands Stadium"......hardly inspiring........Personally although he never played for the Giants I'd call the place Tillman Field.......a real NFL Hero who would not offend Jets or Giants Fans...... Tiki Barber Stadium? Joe Don Looney Field? .....................just kidding Reese better come up with a few impact LBers and Defenders soon or he will be seen as a 1 year pony. This plays to my point that we need to retire Tom Coughlin...........Rex Ryan is leading the revitalization of the Jets not Mike Tannenbaum. BlueInCanada
Holmes is out for the first four games and by all accounts is a head case in the locker room, he wont last in NY. Cromartie is the most over rated CB in the league, he has had one good year thanks in large part to Peyton Manning throwing the ball to him five times was it? LT is washed up and wont do much. Edwards didnt show much in his time with the Jets and is over rated, he was the only decent played on a shitty Browns team. And Jason Taylor hasnt made an impact on a game since 2007. The Jets are the Jets every year its the same thing with them and every post season it's the same result, not reaching the SB. Let them have a year or two in the sun who gives a fuck, let the Giants rebuild with a team that will dominate for multiple years. BTW Ryan is a fat tub of shit who when the players figure out his full of talk and cant accomplish much will soon turn on. EDIT: Not to mention the Jets wouldnt of made the playoffs if the Colts didn't hand them the game in the regular season, Miami got robbed.
JackStroud
The very fact you made all these points proves my point The Jets were 30 minutes form the SB last year without all these moves We were possibly the worst team in the NFL the last few games of last season They are beginning to make me feel a bit uncomfortable.....and in my opinion the HC sets the tone Our SB run in retrospect was a fluke........we are not solid to the core.........and Spags coached us to that SB victory not Coughlin.....we need big changes beginning with Ol Tom Thank goodness the eagles traded McNabb...........it gives us some breathing room while we re-build

BlueInCanada
The minute Blackburn is in Jet Green, then I'll worry. They would have to trade their 1st round pick for the next 10 years though, you dont trade a HoF backup like Blackburn for nothing.

I do........a big one I don't want to be 2nd class citizens in our own X Stadium.....or is it our own?........oh thats right its not We do have some executive parking spots though.......I think oh right........we could not afford our own stadium.....then we could not shell out the xtra $150 million for a roof we must be the poorest team in professional sports even the Red Bulls could afford a home with a roof oh well At least Tiki found love

boohyah
The Jets were one half away from the Superbowl. And they knew they weren't the finished product. None of the signings they made this offseason will hurt them. And a huge part of coaching is motivation and Ryan looks like he has that in spades. Plus if you look at the team, they have a good balance of quality draft picks and free agents. I'd take Revis and Manigold in a heartbeat.

Does everyone here forget they were basically handed the playoffs? If the Colts didnt rest their starters in the final week the Dolphins would of been in instead of the Jets. When a team needs to be given their playoff spot and not earned their not SB contenders, they got in off of luck not talent.

If the Colts didnt rest their starters in the final week the Dolphins would of been in instead of the Jets. When a team needs to be given their playoff spot and not earned their not SB contenders, they got in off of luck not talent. They were 'handed' the opportunity, and they took full advantage of it all the way up until the 2nd half of the AFC Championship game. They had, what, the #2 ranked defense for most of the season? And everyone says defense wins championships. They were much like the 07 Gmen.....they caught fire at the right time. I don't think they are true contenders, and I don't understand the sudden Dan Snyder approach to the off season. As was posted earlier, none of these signings will hurt them but everyone is focusing on them signing old, big names, and if I'm not mistaken they've got a pretty young group under all those big names. I think they'll be shitloads better than the scrub teams of the past, but I'm not quite ready to anoint them the 2nd coming of the 80's 49er's or 00's Patriots just yet. JackStroud
Ryan had the Belly Band Surgery, so the fat jokes won't hold this year. I hope for his sake he does not shrink to a hollowed out Al Roker look alike............that guy looked like he was going to shrink into pile of pants on the ground LOL I wish the Jets well. they are doing all the right things.........I'm worried about the Giants though. I have no friggen idea how good or bad we will be in 2010.........I've never entered a season with such misgivings, or such fog about where we are headed More than anything else the Giants need to lift their team spirit...........they had it for that one last Dallas game an whacked them Cowboys good..........then a total fizzzzzzzzzzz out Oh forget about LT washed up............our boy Tiki personally escorted LT out to see his workout Guru Joe Carinni, and Carinni said the man wants to work........few get through the Carinnii workouts.......most quit Westbrook worked with Carinni 2 summers ago and got so strong he boinked his cranium.........Tiki is helping the enemy left and right LOL.........I think deep down he hates Tom

The P
i think tomlinson averages under 4ypc this season. i think holmes after the suspension will be a big pickup for them though. i dont see them going as far as last year though. im not as sold on dirty sanchez as it seems like everyone else in the country is.
