  1. Yeah, the Giants' WR's need a step ladder, a net and a wing and a prayer these days....don't leave out a lifetime supply of human growth hormone to add an extra foot or two to these guys height.
  2. I hear you...I have been saying the same thing since Coach Cheerleader and crew got here. They try to fit the personnel to their schemes as opposed to fitting the schemes to the personnel. An example is forcing Shockey to block like he is the second coming of Howard Cross.
  3. I have been watching the Giants play since 69' and I have never seen the amount of deviousness, lies and bullshit concerning the injury report as I have seen since Coach Cheerleader took over. Just goes to show you when other teams list someone as questionable he is more than likely a probable. The Giants list someone as questionable then that usually means that he is going on IR or his career is over. What a crock. What I say...what the fuck is going on at the Meadowlands?
  4. Yeah I hear you Sir Graffenberg (lol)...it seems as Ernie cannot pick a decent DB to save his life. I think Young's blind spot was WR, Earnest Gray anyone?
  5. Yeah at least Sehorn looked like he had an idea back there on what to do. They should have played Sehorn at FS as opposed to CB. He was totally exposed back there in the SB. But we did not realize it because John Fox' defenses were full of feints and disguises, that he was able to hide Sehorn's deficiencies at CB. I am with you, the other kid has what it takes...we should play him. I would rather deal with a blown coverage or two and have 6-7 interceptions, than someone who is constantly out of position, can be beaten deep and is a piss-poor tackler.
  6. Drill sergeant crap does not work on a lot of people across all of the generations. I was born in 64' and whenever I was in a situation where I had a choice between a drill sergeant mentality or one where people were treated as adults I always chose the latter. Some people respond to that drill sergeant shit ...others don't. A personal example was when I was learning how to ride a motorcycle in the mid-80's. I was 26 and I paid about 500 bucks to a well known motorcycle training program in Queens. This guy trains the NYPD and has also trained many of the motorcycle riding stars and celebrities. Let me tell you...he spoke to me like he was paying me to learn (all of his instructors were like that...including a couple of Amazons on the payroll ) or I was some unwanted step-son or something. Barking orders like he was my father....I got tired of his shit real quick and told him to shove the fucking 5 bills up his ass. I then went to another trainer... a Chinese guy who preferred to be called Austin. It was like night and day...when you made a mistake he told you what you did wrong, how to avoid the mistake, and how to do it the right way. All of this without yelling/screaming that you are going to die if you do this or that...or that was terrible...so forth and so on. Austin had an English vocabulary of 200 words, max. But this guy was able to transfer his considerable riding experience without any of the immature, ineffective juvenile bullshit that Coach Cheerleader peddles out as discipline. Let me tell you I could never play for this a-hole where others could...no white socks. Come to me with that crap and I will tell you to your face to drop dead. I have lost and quit some very well paying jobs because of a supervisor or two who have overdosed over too many viewings of Full Metal Jacket.
  7. You are right up there with Feehly my friend....maybe you should take a little trip north on I-95 for a tryout.
  8. I think the new kid's name is Lochery or Lockery. He may be green, but the few glimpses of him that I have caught it looks like he has the intangible instincts of an Everson Walls type DB. Good cover, good back pedal, able to shadow a receiver without biting too hard on play action; and best of all takes appropriate gambles like going for the ball especially when he has a safety over the top; and looking for a safe pass defense or tackle when he is alone on a island. These type of skills....intangibles if you will...were never evident in Will Allen; Will Peterson had some of them; and Corey Webster in my opinion either does not have them or like you said his confidence is so shattered that he is just occupying space back there. The one time I want him to go for the sure tackle ...he goes for the interception, which allowed Chicago to get first down on their second third quarter touchdown drive. Like Carl Banks and Dick Lynch (ex Giants DB) say on the Giants radio broadcast on WFAN, you have to know the down and distance; plus you have to know the defense that is called...do you have help...where is it....who is it....or am I on an island in man to man. You can't give a ten yard cushion if they need 8 yards for a first down. You are already conceding the first down, unless he drops it. Basically we need a DB coach who actually played as a DB...preferably in the modern era with apologies to Dick Lynch era guys from the 60's and 70's.
  9. Yeah thanks...another one of those he is too small to play in the NFL statements, lol.
  10. See my "Where have you gone R.A. (Raul Allegre) and M.B. (Matt Bahr)" post for more reactions. I am telling ya every time that fuck goes out to kick, my stomach churns. He is so non-clutch it is not even funny. We win at Seattle we at least make to the NFC Championship game with an extra week off. But noooo.... he tightens up and fucking chokes. Back to bagging groceries for you boy.
  11. Tuna "The Prostitute" should be Parcells' moniker for the rest of his life. "I am quitting the Giants for health reasons". BULLSHIT! You quit because you lost the power struggle between you and George Young after old Wellington made it plain to you that coaches coach and general managers manage. Then like the traitorous bitch that you are, you quit on the Giants a couple of months before the season starts after Belichik jumps ship...and we were then stuck with your fucking clip board holder Ray "I Don't Know What the Fuck I am Doing" Handley. Then when you lose about 50lbs of your bloat you go to New England and steal some of our best players of the time (Dave "I am going to beat your ass bitch (girlfriend/wife) Meggett). I hope he continues to get his ass carved up with the rest of the traitors (Jim Burt anyone) and finds himself unemployed after this season. I do not know which face makes me laugh the hardest... seeing Parcells' constipated look after a Cowboy fuckup...or Jerry Jones' "I did not try to buy championships for this shit" look of horror/anger/disgust.
  12. I remember when people were clamoring for Scott Brunner over Simms...a memorable quote from Howard Cosell on MNF Giants against the Cardinals "look at him (Scott Brunner) he looks and runs like Ichabod Crane". If we gave that wasted draft pick (Dave Brown) 3 solid years to fuck up and blame everyone but himself for his lack of skills/success then we can definitely give Eli a little break here. Yes put the boot in his ass to get his mind back in the game...but definitely send in plays that allow him to perform at his best...and not 20 step drops with an arthritic LT to keep the pressure off. For a minute there I thought I was watching Kerry Collins' happy feet after the Human False Start (Pettigout) went down.
  13. Even when we had guys who could not cover (paging "Toast" Patterson) at least it was the "House of Pain" for opposing WR's. You catch the ball and we hit you very hard...you catch the ball again and we hit you harder....the third time you reach for the ball and we cream you...the next time you cut off your pattern way before the hit. Brutal but effective. No WR in the world enjoys being creamed out there. More so than quarterbacks these guys are vulnerable to some devastating hits.
  14. Most Cowboy fans are non-Texan homers who have no idea what being a real fan is all about. The minute they lose and/or have losing seasons...all of the seismologists in the United States check their seismographs to make sure that the Cowboy bandwagon jump does not trip the San Andreas Fault and blow California into the Pacific.
  15. Thats for sure! Hopefully they will be like the Boston Red Sox and not win a championship for about the next 90 years.
  16. Ha, ha....I remember watching a pre-season game he played in....I think it was the Hall of Fame game...and the SeaHawks were playing the Niners (the only time in my life that I cheered for those cocksuckers)...anyway anytime the Niners had the ball (especially on running plays) every Niner offensive lineman was looking for Boz in order to lay some lumber on him. There was one big fucker (300lbs +) who just laid him out....and they were both 5 miles from the play. I was watching with my father and older brother and we are still laughing at that hit that bastard took...it was a big time welcome to the NFL, LOL.
  17. Exactly....other than coaching Notre Dame he has accomplished nothing out of the ordinary for a head coach yet to be getting all of this press...Yeah smack that Ass.
  18. Well I remember a couple years back reading the Giants newspaper that there are certain referee teams that the Giants actually hate to have them officiating their games. One of them is Hoculee and his bitches. I think this bastard had some connection to the Giants in the past and continues to try and prove his lack of bias by calling the Giants tight on PI, holding and roughing the passer calls; also any miscellaneous crazy call he can throw in like Jacob's "pregnancy". Remember the phantom hold against DT Hamilton during the SuperBowl after Armistead caught one of Trent Dilfer's gifts and ran it back for a touchdown. A holding call against an interior lineman who is attempting to rush the passer and the person he is supposedly holding is the runner who is chipping him along with a guard. They might have still lost because of Collin's happy feet in anticipation of sack (even when they were running); but somebody tell me where you have ever seen that kind of call again. Mighty funny it was never replayed in the official media because it was bogus. I do agree that sometimes TC falls in love with his stern persona (remember sitting Buress last year) to prove a point; even if it will cost him a game or two. Hopefully he has gotten over his need to put people into the doghouse because we need all hands on deck.
  19. I was never sold on TC even before he turned us down and went to Boston College (or is it Boston U?). And I definitely did not want him here as a retread either....you thought he was the second coming or something when he first showed up. But since we are probably stuck with him for another year at least....please let him get a grip and start using his players strengths instead of trying to mold them into the players he wants them to be (e.g. Shockey and others). And be a little more proactive with his "wife" Huffnagel and give him a boot, stroke, pat, punch whatever it takes for him to join the 21st century of offensive coaching. :brooding:
  20. I was thinking the same thing....no fresh blood from Europe, Latin America, Africa or Asia in terms of soccer style kickers...its mostly home-growns from college these days. Its a lot like pot growing I guess. It took a while before the hydroponics guys could come up with a superior crop to replace all the interdicted stuff back in the 80's, lol.
  21. Yeah he is a media creation to a certain extent...kinda reminds of that scrub Boz who played for the SeaHawks back in the 80's. No way in the world did he want any part of a head on with Jacobs. Hell even guys like Harry Carson, Jack Ham and countless other all pro's never tried to tackle Earl Campbell without some reinforcements head up. There were a lot of shoe-string tackles with that guy.
  22. I would like to know how their practices are ....too strenuous, too many hits against a team mate, too many full speed plays in practice adding to the wear and tear? Or is it their strentgh and conditioning is lax? Whatever it is , we better find a clue and soon.
  23. Hey you took the same thought out of my ass..ur head! Sometimes I think Dan Reeves is still coaching with those days long 7 step drops they have that kid doing. Look the defense is on fire with their ears pinned back....how about altering the snap count....how about a three step drop....how about some mis-direction plays or screens...no what we do is a skyscraper throw downfield that is five miles out of reach; when the kid can actually get it off.
  24. Agree Totally....you would think they were having their Super Bowl parade right now the way they are acting. Only thing I can say is that they will be enjoying the same feeling the 49'ers enjoyed as Matt Bahr kicked away their three-peat hopes in their own stadium. Only this time at Soldier Field it will be OUR defense eating Grossman for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its like when a 14 year old beats up a 10 year old; yeah you can do it, but don't act like you really accomplished much. Playing against our second and third stringers is like a pre season game for the lamo Bears. And lets see Urlacher stand over Jacobs like he did over Tyree after a hit. The only way he does that by himself is to have knocked him senseless with a tire iron first. I am hoping and praying that we make the playoffs and that the road to the Championship goes through Chicago.
