  1. Yeah he is a media creation to a certain extent...kinda reminds of that scrub Boz who played for the SeaHawks back in the 80's. No way in the world did he want any part of a head on with Jacobs. Hell even guys like Harry Carson, Jack Ham and countless other all pro's never tried to tackle Earl Campbell without some reinforcements head up. There were a lot of shoe-string tackles with that guy.
  2. I would like to know how their practices are ....too strenuous, too many hits against a team mate, too many full speed plays in practice adding to the wear and tear? Or is it their strentgh and conditioning is lax? Whatever it is , we better find a clue and soon.
  3. Hey you took the same thought out of my ass..ur head! Sometimes I think Dan Reeves is still coaching with those days long 7 step drops they have that kid doing. Look the defense is on fire with their ears pinned back....how about altering the snap count....how about a three step drop....how about some mis-direction plays or screens...no what we do is a skyscraper throw downfield that is five miles out of reach; when the kid can actually get it off.
  4. Agree Totally....you would think they were having their Super Bowl parade right now the way they are acting. Only thing I can say is that they will be enjoying the same feeling the 49'ers enjoyed as Matt Bahr kicked away their three-peat hopes in their own stadium. Only this time at Soldier Field it will be OUR defense eating Grossman for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its like when a 14 year old beats up a 10 year old; yeah you can do it, but don't act like you really accomplished much. Playing against our second and third stringers is like a pre season game for the lamo Bears. And lets see Urlacher stand over Jacobs like he did over Tyree after a hit. The only way he does that by himself is to have knocked him senseless with a tire iron first. I am hoping and praying that we make the playoffs and that the road to the Championship goes through Chicago.
  5. Amen to that brother...at least he knows how to use Shockey and he would come in his pants if he had Jacobs as opposed to that wasted draft choice Dayne.
  6. Too bad NAS we could have used you. Didn't they go with the hard ware store guy (Bryant) instead?
  7. I hear you....also there is a shortage of big time clutch kickers these days. It seems that there is a dilution of good talent these days. Or is it another side effect of free-agency?
  8. I guess running the ball is too old school for them. I would love to go back to the days of Joe Morris and the Suburbanites. Nothing fancy, just cram it down their throats until they are the reincarnations of Linda Lovelace (AKA DeepThroat). But remember all of the analysts hated them because they were too "boring". I say fuck-em, I'll take boring anyday because a running game and defense wins championships. Just ask Manning the Elder whether he would trade his spasmodic gyrations at the line of scrimmage and 7-10 points of offense a game for a good championship caliber defense. He would do it in a heartbeep. Just ask Elway what got him a couple of Super Bowl rings; it was the addition of an outstanding running game to a) keep the defense off the field and rested, b) take the pressure off of him to rescue the game all of the time c) turn opposing defenses into gravy by the constant pounding of 300lb and up lineman with a 250lb RB hitting them about 35-40 times a game. Like you say in your sig....Run the FUCKING BALL!
  9. I don't know if they will replace him. The Giants brain trust loves him because he owns (ed) up to his choke in Seattle and subsequent chokes against other teams. The Giants love gentlemen. But its like that stupid screening test that we used to use. Everyone else drafts the crack abusing homocidal maniacs and win; whereas we show the league what a good bunch of gentlemen we are and lose quite often because of our moral superiority.
  10. Yeah you are right. I forgot about Brad. What happened to him again; did he have to make a suicide tackle against an opponent where he tore ligaments or something. Or was his leg so overworked that it just gave out on him?
  11. Yeah a Raiders and Cow-girl fashion statement, lol.
  12. I did not wear my Property of the NY Football Giants sweatshirt during the weekend like I always do.
  13. I would love to get our defense back and healthy and go into their third rate city and bust their asses like we did in 90'. Did anyone see Urlacher crowing over a downed Giants WR. Lets see that over rated cocksucker do that with Jacobs. If he does he needs about 5 or 6 of his fellow over-rated's to do the job.
  14. I would take coach Motivator over coach Cheerleader any day.
  15. Is there anything less than zero confidence. Whenever I see that guy go on the field, I try to calculate the odds of a successful 4th down pass, run, drop kick (lol), anything but that butt munches skewed kicks. Just think how different it would have been if he had made just one of those freaking kicks.
  16. Thank God I was not listening to the game till just after the 3rd quarter started. I would have picked up my TV and/or radio and thrown both out the fucking window. If everyone in the viewing public knows that the draw is coming why don't the Giants coaching staff. I mean my God they were playing a soft defense, rushing three linemen....come on....they were not taking any chances with Grossman by letting him heave it at that point and be down 16-20 to 3 at that point. So which two plays out of 500 will you most likely see....uh a draw up the middle if you have a shaky quarterback...and maybe a nifty screenplay if you are not facing Ed "To Tall" Jones and/or Jim Jeffcoat (re: Phil Simms and a couple of interception returns off of screens by these guys). God give me strength. Please let us make the playoffs with the bulk of our crew back....and please....please let it be against opponents that our coaches can gameplan against...here's hoping.
  17. Where is Raul Allegre (Giants 86-87 season) and Matt Bahr (90-91 season) when you need them? I would take either of these AARP candidates over Jay Feehly any day. You have, must, cannot miss a 33 yard field goal in a game like this. Benedict Arnold (excuse Bill Parcells) would have chewed up Raul and/or Matt if they choked like this. My God can't these guys be ringed up so they can give this creep some pointers on how to kick in Giants Stadium. The punter actually has it down to a science on how to kick in our stadium...but this guy, sheesh. The butt tightens up the minute I see him go onto the field knowing that it is probably 50/50 that he will blow it.
  18. You could hear the crowd roar through the radio feed that I listen to on WFAN. I did not watch the game....was involved in other things...would have loved to hear Madden diss that a-hole Cheerleader that calls himself coach.
  19. The Bears are a flawed team and can be owned. They were playing against second and third stringers and they still could have lost. The Bears are good at pursuing but straight up the gut running plays are not something they stand up against very well. The Giants played Santa Claus today. Good Luck to the Bears, I do not think they will have such generous opponents in the future ....especially the playoffs.
  20. The magic formula of the 80-90's Giants....plenty of seam passes to the TE; plenty of cram it down your throat till you swall RB/FB running game...and a couple of quick out and ups for TD's or long games. Giants stadium with its high crown is built for those types of games. Why is it since Benedict Arnold left because of his "ahem health (e.g. money/power issues) has this been lost on Giants coaching staffs? Fassell had a better idea on how to use Shockey, whereas the Cheerleader wants to turn him into Hands of Stone Howard Cross. Let's not even talk about the one trick pony defense...I truly honestly believe that I and about at least 500 members of this board can call a better defense than that hopeless/helpless Lewis.
  21. Hey don't you watch Giants practice sessions.... the WR's are issued step ladders and nets... .
  22. He blows ass....and his coaches teach him to play even softer than he is normally inclined to. Why be 5 yards off of your man when you can be 8-10 yards behind him. And the one time when he takes a shot at the ball is the the one time you want him to play it safe and let the guy catch it and make the tackle 5 yards short of the 1st down. I think it is a combo of the coaching, the soft ass prevent defense and soft ass DB's especially Webster.
  23. Most coaches would kill to have a TE who could catch and produce after the catch like this kid. Okay he has the occasional easy drop...but the DB's can't guard him and the LB's can't keep up. And if he is triple teamed with a cover 2 then that means that someone is open somewhere on the field. Keep feeding Tiki and Shockey the ball until they stop it. Don't stop yourself with cuteness and/or playing against your weaknesses.
