The Redskins havent had a decent QB since before the Mesopotamian Civilization. They were desperate. I think this is a good trade for them - if RG pans out that is. They can now focus towards intelligent drafting and building around him. The Rams on the other hand are primed to make a great team in the coming years - assuming Bradford pans out that is

The HOF shouldnt be just about statistics. It should be about which player brings the most to the table. If and when Eli does get in, he will be the most clutch QB in NFL history. His season stats might not be all that great - but then again, offenses change. But what should put him in should be his team first attitude, making people around him better all the time and saying "Zero is the amount of fucks I give if something goes wrong". Clutch play, comebacks, attitude, team player, 2 time SB MVP, improving other players around him with his play should get him in - stats is just the icing.

Thats the point Ive been trying to make Chuck. The Giants D always has blown coverages. We've had it in all games. Brady will NOT miss those. If not for 2 busted coverages doesnt make sense. Fact is we did have it and they did score points of it. Thats like saying - if not for 2 fumbles we wouldnt have scored either. They didnt have busted coverages....they had fumbles. We didnt have fumbles we had busted coverages. We cant afford that in the SB. But then again the Pats D is nothing near SFOs....but Bellichick will always come up with some crazy thing or the other that we have to be prepared for.

The biggest threat is Wes Welker against our secondary in the middle and on third downs. He is a best route runner in the game right now and will burn either Ross or Webster. He will be the biggest threat to stop. Look at the Pats to go for the West Coast offense to tire our D. They wont go the whole she-bang. It will be all passes - quick short ones and the drives will be long. Key will be our pass-rush to stop those third downs. Gronk and Hernandez are always there - but Welker will be the main man. You cant double team 2 people. We need to drop more to coverage and have different looks with people underneath AND over the top....and hope our DL can OWN the Pats OL.

Just found out that the scoreboard at Foxboro displayed the game score incorrectly. Instead of 2nd and 1 they showed it as first down and poor Cundiff kept assuming the Ravens were going to run one more play and hence was rushed on to the field when he wasnt even ready.....poor chap

Its one thing to keep stating your views on this team and its play and especially about the Giants's QB, and its another thing to actually give credit where credit is due. You are a master at finding areas where credit is not due - Eli's close almost INTs in this game for example. Time and again you have only pointed out faults and flaws. Now trying to be purely rational as you always claim to be - dont you think its necessary for you to admit that this team has played some amazing football and that their QB has been great? If you can admit the above and THEN give your critical assessment, then Im willing to hear it.
