To be very honest I think Brown gives us the best chance on the ground than Bradshaw. If you look closely, Brown is a far more patient in waiting for the blocks to develop and then ram it in between the tackles. Bradshaw probably got to play more because he is being paid more and is our star starter. But Brown would have given us the best chance to win in the 4th qtr to be very honest. Im waiting for Brown to take up the starting position quite soon. Also on the last drive, Gilbride once again showed up and proved why we should go no huddle at times like this because Gilbride outsmarts himself with these crapazoola calls like throwing on 2nd and 9 from field goal range. No issues, this is a game we should have won and had it won - but as a Giants fan I know the Giants always extract shit from within themselves and pull out defeat from the jaws of victory atleast once every season. Im glad we got it out of the way and hope this is the last of it. Eli anyway helps us pull victories from the jaws of defeat all other times. The real thing that hurt us is not being able to stop Philly on their last drive for the FG. We should not have let McCoy run on us. Twice - TWICE did Osi make the same mistake and let Vick get the outside running lane. It was almost like the Eagles were baiting him to do it. The fucker thought he would get the sack and ended up hurting us instead of containing the QB. Both times you can see the OL actually lets Osi get past him on the inside letting Vick run to the outside and both time our defensive formation was identical. The Eagles outsmarted us on the Vick runs. It was almost designed.

Correction - bennett has been made awesome! Dude is a talent yes - but his worth ethic is a lot to be desired for. One of the INTs against the Bucs was because Bennett stopped on his route. Pure talent wise our best TE was Shockey in recent times (lets leave the great Bavaro out of this). Shockey was made great even by Kerry man! Too bad he couldnt keep himself healthy or his head out of his ass. We dont have special TEs. All the TEs we have are made to look good by Eli. No special stuff there

I think its a great idea Rik. But at the same time, its one extra forum to go to and back references etc become a little tiresome. Whatever football we need to discuss, I think we can discuss in the Giants forum itself. Fans of other teams can also post because 90% of the time its going to be related to the Giants. If we want to discuss other teams etc - we could do it in the Giants forum itself actually. I dont see a problem with it.

SFO hates us - even after the Junkin Debacle. They still hate us for some reason. Outside of our division rivals - I dont think anyone hates the Giants as such. Might not like them, but dont necessarily hate them. But success at the expense of other teams does increase that quotient among other teams. Also when a team bets the house on a player and hands over everything including the kitchen sink to another team to get that player and he pans out and the other team doesnt and just flat out sucks balls - well then , I guess there could be some hate in San Diego.

Regarding the last play - It was a dead play right from the start. The game was over and it was just a formality. The QB is practically on his knee while taking the snap. TB just was too frustrated that Eli riled up 25 pts in the 4th qtr and got the win. They wanted to just let off steam. Whether it was in the rules, or whether it was only a one score game or whatever - it was cheap to try that when it hasnt happened ever before. Accept that it was a good game, you lost and be classy about it. Ultimately its about - yes, its in the rules. Yes its only one score. But do you really want a WIN so desparetly at the expense of injury to others and in a manner such as this? I think most classy NFL teams would just say - Well played guys. Next time we will play harder. But not here. Here it was a slum level move and nothing more. I think Wilson will get a start this season. The kid runs hard, lightning around the edges and a Jamal Lewis style in traffic where the legs constantly keep motoring, hence he gets out after the first couple of hits. He might lose yards with his salsa behind the line, but that wont hurt us much. His explosion in North-South will hurt the opposition a lot more. He can keep the chains moving. Im excited about our Running game this year. Now if only we can do something about our secondary. Our D-Line needs to take the complete onus on itself.
