  1. I think we have C/C+ RBs in Jennings and Perkins, respectively (and Perkins could grow into a B), running behind a C-/D+ line.
  2. The Detroit team I saw against Dallas last night hardly looked like a playoff team.
  3. Prescott sits back there all f*cking day. Lion D is putrid.
  4. HTF does Bryant get away with grabbing the facemask???
  5. Did the Detroit defense make the trip?
  6. No matter what happens with Lions/Cowboys tonight or with any of the 1:00 games on Sunday, the #6 seed will be up for grabs when our game starts. Only way Washington doesn't get in with a win is if Lions win tonight, then lose to Packers Sunday night. Lions lose tonight and Washington will be in a "win and we're in" situation. I think we know how Coughlin would have played it and, I suppose, Herm "you play to win the game" Edwards, too. Vegas seems to think they know which way McAdoo is going - Washington is an 8 point favorite. Does everybody play and "business as usual" game? Is it the final preseason game? Or (most likely) somewhere in between? Eli will definitely start to preserve his streak but does he play the whole game?

    We're in!

Holy crap, Redskins are an 8 point favorite against the Giants? Does Vegas know something about how McAdoo intends to play this?
  8. Well if anybody sees Fish on Facebook, tell him to stop by sometime!

    We're in!

Denver's offense was as inept and downright futile as any I've seen this year, including the Browns and 49ers!
  10. Speaking of past posters, what ever became of Jack? And on the other end of the spectrum, where did Fishgut go?
  11. I see three good chances. In order of confidence: Dallas over Detroit Carolina over Atlanta NO over TB I'd be very surprised if Minny beat GB, in GB. If none of these things happen, I'm strangely confident - and not even sure why - the Giants will come up big in DC next Sunday, off 10 days rest and prep.
  12. Agreed. Many of TC's decisions offensively, late in games, were based on his utter lack of confidence in the defense.....and looking at the empirical evidence - 31st in points against, 32nd in yards against - it's hard to blame him Going for the TD instead of taking the FG against the Jets comes to mind, for instance. Given the substandard roster he had to work with, it's a miracle some of those games were as close as they were!

    Rad Brad

Absolutely! Like for the next 10 years!
  14. And we have a DC who knows how to play to all their strengths.
  15. I think the offense is missing him right now. He always knew how to attack and work around, if not solve, problem areas and maximize production.
  16. Or if Tampa loses in NO, I think we're in. Thing is, if you assume GB will beat Minny this weekend, in GB, the Dallas game means nothing to Detroit. Win or lose, it would still come down to the final Sunday, GB @ Det....right?
  17. Of course, that's the most simple route. Simple but not easy. You've seen enough Giants vs Eagles through the years to know this will be a pier 6 brawl.
  18. We haven't clinched. Nas has it right. If we lose out and Tampa wins out, we'd both be 10-6 and they'd have the better conference record. Win in Philly and we're in. We're also in if Tampa loses in New Orleans OR Detroit loses in Dallas. Both are underdogs. Both pulling upsets would be a parlay I wouldn't play.
  19. Love the idea of bringing in somebody who could actually compete for the LT job but it's not like there's a parade of legitimate candidates waiting to come through the door. LTs are tough to find.
  20. The issue is, with the walkie talkie, there's no automatic cutoff at 15 seconds on the play clock, as mandated by rule and happens automatically with the NFL controlled headsets.
  21. Agreed. I also believe at least some of the OL struggles are attributable to scheme and predictability, particularly of our running plays. It's looked all too often like the opposing D was in the huddle with us. I think they pick up tendencies based on our formations, personal groupings, down & distance, field position, etc. It's a lot harder to block when the guy across from you has a pretty good idea where the play is going a split second after (or even before) the snap.
