  1. BIC doesn't fix the Giants. 1 (6) - Malik Nabers - although I think he's gone before the Giants if he's there they need to take him. He's a QB best friend, can run all the routes as clean as Jefferson, is as quick as Hill and catches anything thrown his way. People talk about him being "small" but he's the norm for WRs now. He's a playmaker the Giants haven't had since OBJ. 2 (47) Safety Javon Bullard - we replace McKinney with a safety who can actually play the ball and cover. Probably going before this pick but he would be a day one starter and lock down the backfield for the next 10 years. 3 (70) QB Jordan Travis - Penix JR in round three. Can make all the throws, good ability to read the field, and athletic. However ended the year with a nasty leg injury. The Giants gives him a chance to heal and start in year two.
  2. I think they've indicated they want to extend both Russ and Fields. But only a month ago the Steelers were saying Pickett was the starter and was getting a year three lol
  3. I just mean it usually isn't a good thing, for QBs anyways. Trey Lance was a 3rd round pick until suddenly he was the next best thing, now he's a backup in Dallas. See I can understand a WRs or positional players stock going up and down before the draft because combine skills typically translate well enough for those positions. A QB throwing at a combine or pro workout doesn't show really anything their college tape doesn't show. So I never understood how suddenly a QB just rises up draft boards when he's the same player he was pre and post combine. Sure a DB shows up and runs a 4.3 40, hey maybe he's faster than what tape shows. A QB nails an interview, he's still the same QB as he was in college. McCarthy by all accounts is a second round pick who over the last few weeks is suddenly a top 10 guy? I don't believe it lol all the smoke screen hype.
  4. I still think it's a massive smoke screen to get some team to desperately trade with the Giants, or we are madly in love with a WR. Or maybe Schoen has a trade for pick #2/3 and doesn't want it to get out. Still don't understand how a QB who was a second round guy is suddenly a top 10 pick. But then again we seen Jones drafted.
  5. Also quite the change for the Steelers. They go from Pickett, Rudolph and Trubinsky. To a QB of Russ and Fields that only costs 4.3 million and a 6th round pick in 2026. We have a backup QB costing us 40 million lol
  6. I think all college QBs are taken on potential.
  7. Been reading so much draft stuff recently I've dreamt about it. The Cowboys trade for pick #1 and take Williams, while sending Dak to the Bears. Washington shocks the world and takes Joe Alt. NE takes Harrison. Cardinals take Rome. Charges trade out to Minnesota who takes McCarthy Giants have a choice of Maye/Daniels. But that's just a dream.
  8. Hunter reportedly turned down larger deals to play in his home state where he lives and the fact that the Texans are playoff contenders. Sometimes it's not just $$$ If I was some player on the last contract of my prime I wouldn't want to look at the Giants either lol
  9. I mean it's kinda hard to sell the idea of taking a WR when your QB is Justin Fields. If Fields took a step forward this year or any year really the case could be made. But when the "generational" prospect is sitting there and you have no QB, it's not hard to figure out what you're gonna do.
  10. Not that hard to see why though. The dude had every opportunity to show he was any sort of QB and has failed to do so. Even had the final week matchup to knock the Packers out of the playoffs. Put up a 50 QBR and 140 yards lol
  11. His market crashed the moment FA began lol So much for the pundits thinking he was going for a first.
  12. Just lining Fields and Russ up in the backfield should be fun for a few plays next year. What a fucking crazy FA period this year, QBs are being thrown all over the place. Think owners realized if you dont have a Mahomes/Allen/Burrow, etc you aint winning shit.
  13. Then Mario and Luigi in round 2 and 3.
  14. I also can't see the Giants going Penix after having to deal with the durability concerns of Jones.
  15. Also I don't think we'll have a choice of WRs. Harrison will be gone and one of Nabers or Rome will be grabbed by the Charges. We will get whoever's left, which isn't that bad of a deal with those two.
  16. Much rather have Nabers in that situation.
  17. Gates played like garbage in DC though. That leg injury of his has really took its tole.
  18. Former Viking. Clearly Schoen getting in as much guard depth as he can.
  19. Guard Stinnie from the Bucs, 11 game starter. TE Manhertz from the Broncos. Two TEs in as many days, wonder if Waller had told the Giants he's done.
  20. Wonder how many people wanna play with Jones? lol
  21. We're pretty much where most teams are in terms of QB situation.
