  1. We'll see how he plays in a real game, every off season there is one late round rookie or UDFA who the beat writers get a hold of and try to make a story of it. Hope the kid if the real deal, if KP or Rolle go down he will have his chance to win a starting spot for years to come.
  2. So NFL.com is reporting that Prince is likely out for two months. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8214c4dc/article/rookie-amukamara-on-the-shelf-for-giants-with-broken-foot?module=HP11_headline_stack
  3. I know injuries are a part of any professional sport and that all teams have to over come it but holy fuck what is with the Giants ALWAYS having players injured who are major parts of the teams success.
  4. Under the new CBA arnt no pads practice the new norm? I thought they can only practice in pads when the season was under way. I'm probably wrong but I'm sure I read something under the new terms that full contact practices are being phased out.
  5. We'll Boss has already had success in the NFl, he has a SB ring. Repeating is one of the hardest things to do in the NFL and alot of players know this, so after a SB win why not go after a giant contract and get greedy. Don't get me wrong still is a shitty thing for them to do but I can see why they would do it.
  6. The way Gilly uses the TEs honestly we could have Shannon Sharpe in his prime and he would still only catch two passes a game. The TEs in Gillys system dont catch passes, they are there to be an extra blocker or an relief outlet for Eli. I think Boss is a good TE for the Giants simply because he is a good blocker who can catch the additional pass, plus he comes cheap.
  7. I dont know, considering it was only a fifth round pick for Hayney if he doesnt play well in the first 6 games expect that Pats to work their magic and end up trading him for two firsts and a second.
  8. I kinda wish the NFL still had loyalty like in the 50s and 60s, back when a team and a player would have respect for each other. Once money started getting into the numbers they are into today, everything became about the big pay day or trying to bring in the next great player to help get a SB win so you can get the money that comes along with it.
  9. Dick Vermeil. Always had success and took the shitty Eagles to the SB along with flipping a shitty Rams team and making a power house offense. Really good players coach as well, all his previous players had nothing but good things to say about the guy. But to actually answer your question between Coughlin and Sexy Rexy? I dont know, I would lean towards Coughlin because of the SB success and the chance of the repeat however I think if I just wanted to have a "fun" time I would go with Rexy.
  10. I'd rather sign Smith then Bradshaw, and if the Giants are in cap hell like alot of reports are saying we might only be able to snag one of the two.
  11. Guess this means we better get that deal with Smith done asap.
  12. I dont know how much can you promise the guy when we have Smith, Nicks, Manningham and just drafted another WR. The Steelers are having problems with Ward, let go of Randle El and are questionable at #2. Plax has a better chance to start in Pitts then NY. I still want Plax here though.
  13. During the meeting? I've heard the exact opposite that him and Coughlin actually had a really good discussion.
  14. Peyton Manning signs a 5 year, 90 million dollar contract.
  15. I'm not saying he has had more success then the Giants, however it doesnt excuse the fact that under Reid the Eagles have easily beaten the Giants and kept us out of the playoffs more then once. Sure we have one Superbowl win but due to the Eagles we could of had one maybe two more.
  16. I'm not saying I dont have belief, I bleed blue until the day I die. It's just the past track record has shown Andy Reid knows how to beat the Giants and with the off season moves it just makes the Eagles even more dangerous. All I'm trying to say is that the Giants need to sure up the weak spots, primarily at LB and RB. I think RB is the major concern because if Eli starts to struggle games go bad and quick, so having that reliable running game is what Eli needs.
  17. Yeah because when the division leader goes out and signs nothing but pro bowlers and the top 3 CB in the league while the Giants have signed a punter and a center, everything just looks peachy. Once again the Giants need a running game to beat the Eagles now.
  18. Asante Samuels, Rodgers-Cromartie and now Nnamdi? FFS Eli is going to have some more of those famous 5 INT games. This is why I wanted Ingram in the draft, we have NO running games to bail Eli out.
  19. So this basically means we need to resign Bradshaw or get some sort of running game.
  20. Yeah because we had such success against them in the past. Frankly I would take the their back field over our WRs. Blanket Smith and Nicks and Eli struggles. We need a RB now.
