  1. Before Plax shot himself the Giant's were 9-1. So how did his behavior hamper a 9-1 team?
  2. Despite all this, the team was still winning with him and won a SB thanks in part to him. Yeah he was really a team cancer that held the Giants back.
  3. I'm not saying bringing Plax back would win us a SB, but everyone makes it seem like Plax was holding this team back that his behavior was "detrimental to the team" When the Giants clearly had zero problems having Plax on the team and in fact won a SB thanks in part to Plax as well. That's all I'm saying.
  4. At the same time, the Giants won a SB with him and havent won anything without him.
  5. Well yeah a list that is actually voted by the players for the players. It's surprising sometimes who is ranked and where, just goes to show how us fans have no idea what is actually happening on the field.
  6. The 2008 draft, with Kenny Phillips, Terrell Thomas, Super Mario, etc The Giants got alot of praise for that draft as well. Ever since JR took over the Giants have gotten alot of good remarks over their drafts. This is nothing new really for the Reese era.
  7. Prince was a top ten pick that fell to us, if Austin didnt get suspended for a year Mike Mayock had him going in the top 15 if not the top ten. Trust what people say, the Giants got easily the top steal(s) of the draft.
  8. Yeah the OT was the right pick, they need to keep Romo up if they want to win games. I think what some Cowboy fans think is that this was a heavy Oline draft and there was solid starters in the later rounds. If they did take Prince they would have a starting CB to sure out their weak secondary along with being able to pick up a starting caliber OT in the second round. I still think Smith was still the right pick for them.
  9. Can these guys be signed at all? I know the owners got their "stay" in the injunction or whatever.
  10. They should move Antrell Rolle to HC, rumor is he knows everything about a winning team.
  11. What this draft says to me. JR still knows his shit.
  12. Six games in two years is good for a 31 year old LB.
  13. I was out of the house after round four, I love the Brewer pick. NFL network had a thing on "steals of the draft" a week or so ago and he was one of the player, basically a starting LT who needs abit of work before he is a starter. The fact that Reese was able to snag this kid has me ecstatic and we may have found our future LT. Like I said before I was out of the house today and missed the rest of the draft but I like the look of it, two LBs who should help push if not improve our LB core. Greg Jones sounds like he was a good player in college and a good pickup for the 6th round, hopefully he pans out and becomes something special. Sash I cant comment on since I read positive and negative about him but he was probably one of the best players available and JR pulled the trigger. Scott has me abit interested, a RB who isn't an up the middle type of runner and is somewhat injury prone but at the same time ran a 4.34 40. If we cant resign both Jacobs and Bradshaw I can see him slowly being worked in as the chance of pace back, let him take more and more snaps a game and see if he can adjust to the pro level. If he doesnt, then it was just a 7th round pick.
  14. Bear "I'll block for you" Pascoe is our FB. I wouldn't be surprised season start (if there is one) that he is no longer listed as a TE and listed as a FB.
  15. Actually when you think about it...we need a return man. We literally had zero threat of returning punts or kicks last year. With Smith/Nicks/Manningham and the plethora of WRs we signed at the end of the year, let them worry about catching the ball from Eli. Let Jernigan focus on making our return game something special, plus let him be eased into the WR role. You never know with a year or two maybe Eli will adjust throwing to him then the other way around.
  16. Really everywhere I'm reading at the moment says he's a late second to late third round pick. One of those Reggie Bush types, when the ball is in his hands he makes people miss and can make plays happen. The problem comes with everything else.
  17. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2011/profiles/jerrel-jernigan?id=2495179#tab=1 Yeah he's our return guy. 11 total kick and punt returned TDs.
  18. Return specialist is all I see with this pick.
  19. What argument? Cofield has made it clear he wants to play somewhere were he wants to get paid. No argument.
  20. Anyways back to the topic of this thread. Ryan Mallett to the Pats? Alittle Matt Castle magic maybe?
  21. So that's why Cofield is leaving the Giants for a nice big fat paycheck instead of staying with the team that took a chance on him in the fourth round?
  22. Taken from the Giants website. http://www.giants.com/team/player214.html Cofield is the NT.
