We got fucking slammed with this schedule we need to be 6-0 heading into the bye or else we are fucked. The Giants dont finish a season strong and if we go into this last part of the season as we have in recent years we might be lucky to come out 9-7. Gotta finish this season strong or else it's another January sitting at home.

I thought for sure this was a Stroud post. I dont know if I would want Fisher as a HC, I mean I dont think he is better then Coughlin while at the same time I dont think he is worse. They are almost two in the same in my opinion. I mean I think Coughlin is done as HC after this season regardless of what happens, he is getting up there in age and I'm sure a front office position is looking mighty comfy then the sidelines for 16 weekends. I think Fisher would be a good replacement if there was no better choice available, I'm sure he is going to have a chip on his shoulder after the Titans let him go. I just dont think it would be a massive step up in the HC though but at the same time if he produces much like Coughlin I wouldn't complain. Be interesting to see if we could get him though.

As long as Jerome Bettis is there and he can tell us about how he is from Detroit and how he played in a Superbowl game in Detroit.

You know this guy is probably going to be a good DT but I just cant see the Giants ignoring the glaring problem at OL and LB. Unfornatly this draft much like last years draft is horrible for first round LB talent so I think that leaves the Giants with only one option and they need to pick OL. Someone who can come in and add some youth to the very aged group because as we seen last year without the running game Eli is prone to letting the game get away from him. We need the Oline to open up holes and keep Eli upright or else we are just going to keep having the same result of not making the playoffs.

The only thing about Ingram is his knee, alot of reports are coming out that more and more teams are concerned about his knee and he may end up falling into the second round because of it. There are even some reports of an early on set of arthritis which may cut his career short. I do think we need to address the RB position in the draft but I dont think Ingram is going to be the answer. You cant invest the future of the position into a guy who might only be able to get six year out of his knee, if that.

Kick Diehl back to guard and have Sueburt as a floater player or even center with O'hara going threw what is it? two offseason surgeries? I hope the starting line up is something along the lines of: Beatty/1st round pick/(O'hara, Sueburt)/Snee/Andrews

You havent heard? With the signing of Tiki Barber the NFL is just going to give the Superbowl title to the Patriots so they dont want to waste anyones times. Not to mention Tiki Barber has already been named the MVP of the year plus the offensive player of the year.

Why not bring in Jonas Seawright while were at it.

Goodell had nothing to do with any mediation talk in all honesty. It was the owners and the former NFLPA trying to talk things out and when nothing was being done a federal mediator was brought in to help get the talks along. Geroge Cohen wasnt "Goodells mediator" he was a neutral party mediator who was brought in to help with the negotiations. The new mediation is what the OWNERS have wanted since day one, all the union did back in their first talks was come in and say "No matter what happens we are going to court" Hard to negotiate when one side already has their mind made up of going to court. I highly doubt we will see any difference in an offer laid out by the owners in these new mediation sessions, the owners laid out a very respectable and fair deal the first time around and I see no reason why they should change it.

Hasnt this guy been nothing but a colossal bust? I mean the fact that he only has 30 something tackles and 0 sacks in his entire career tells you something about the guy. The only reason he stayed with the Jets as long as he did was they didnt want to admit their mistake, almost like the Giants and Moss.

As long as there is no NFL union the owners can not sign anyone to their team, even if they are "replacement" players. It's why there have been no free agent signings since the union dissolved, which makes draft picks all the more important this year since you cant package players for trades this year as well.

Why the owners? If anything the players are the ones to this point who need to make up their mind on what they want changed, if anything. From everything I have read the owners have come into the talks from day one wanted to get a deal done so that the season can be under way but it was D. Smith and his crew that kept turning everything the owners proposed away and instead decided to take it to court. The owners laid a deal out for the players the players wanted it taken to court, it's hard to have a deal talks when one side already has their mind made up on what their going to do regardless.

It will happen, it may be a shortened season plus no training camp/pre-season but by all accounts it will happen.

If I recall they will still get money from local TV stations of their area/state but those contracts of nation stations like Fox ect have been opted out of. So they will still be getting money from some TV contracts but not the millions they were expecting from the national stations.

There is no free agency until something is figured out between the players and owners, including all the un drafted free agents this year. Another funny thing is who ever you pick in the draft you can have no contact with what so ever.
