  1. I'm fully convinced Eli leaves the team and signs somewhere else under his own free will. If JR and Co push the reset button Eli doesn't want to spend the last hand full of seasons he has left, with the possibility of a new; HC, OC, DC, GM, a roster overhaul from top to bottom, and the possibility of never seeing the playoffs again. And frankly if a new HC/GM (though I doubt JR gets the can for a few more seasons) isn't going to want to hinder their team building with a 36+ year old Eli and the contract he brings with it.
  2. It was his rookie year and that team didn't have any success running the ball Wilson or not. He still had a plenty of touches on special teams and got some touches in the run game, I'm sure the coaching staff figured instead of having him killed his rookie year they would let him get experience in the return game. Then he fucked up his neck and the rest is history, it's not like Wilson had his talent squandered, he just had to choose between walking again or trying to play football again.
  3. I don't see the hate, he's probably been the best O-line player this year. Sure the O-line is absolute trash but he's been the only one not getting Eli killed play after play.
  4. I've been saying it that last few season and I'm starting to believe it more now, Eli doesnt retire a Giant. Well maybe he signs a one day contract, but he doesnt finish his career with the Giants is what I should say.
  5. Eli sells tickets, Nassib doesnt. They wont bench him simply because Mara/Tisch are still paying for the new stadium.
  6. I'm sure it will pop up on some Giant's game during the cast. Those NFL statisticians come up with the weirdest stats to show during a game, I'd like to see how many tipped passes have led to INTs in Eli's career.
  7. They still were in college my fault I read their coaching history wrong. And they still had a lot more experience coaching guys who run the offense then the guys just blocking.
  8. Lazor was an OC in college and in the NFL, not to mention he was a QB himself and did nothing but coach QBs his entire career. Lombardi was also an OC in college and the NFL before he got the gig in Detriot, as well as being a QB coach for multiple years. McAdoo was a QB coach for one year in the NFL, and did nothing but coach TEs and OL before his gig in Green Bay. I'm not trying to defend McAdoo but he's never coached at the level he has now or been a play caller, he's never even coached the guys running the offense before having to do it in Green Bay and let's face it what the heck was he going to do to coach Rodgers? "So hey Aaron you know what you have been doing your entire career? Do more of that."
  9. You know I'm willing to give McAdoodles a couple season to settle in and get his scheme working, but it was pretty obvious today his lack of play calling experience. Those three fade calls in the endzone, the last drive in the fourth quarter, heck even some drives that started with two shotgun draws to go three and out. It's like he can get into a rhythm calling one series and then the next series just fuck it all up and have the most random play calling alive. He needs to take a page from Gillys two minute drive play calling because that final drive was just beyond pathetic.
  10. It wasnt a win but atleast the defense looked like it belonged in the NFL. I guess thats a moral victory, those count for something in the NFL, right?
  11. Then how else are you expected to answer the question "Are you going to win on Sunday?"
  12. To be fair what more do you expect for a rookie RB. It's not like JR was expecting him to be the starter in the next couple seasons.
  13. I don't think being on a sub 500 team that is hitting the reset button is going to make Eli want to finish his career in NY, especially with Peyton having a resurgence in Denver at age 67. The real question is, if JR hits the "panic fuck me throw everyone under the bus" button and lets Coughlin, Fewell and others go, would he spend money on a QB that would be asking for a large portion of cap space when a new HC regime would want to start with a clean slate.
  14. Four years of watching that loud mouthed cry baby run up and down the field screaming at the refs after every single play. Then having the team quit on him. He's the lesser of the two brothers and his own team doesn't want to extend his contract, now if John Harbaugh was looking for a HC job, things would be different.
  15. To be fair McNabb had the Giants number in and air and on the ground until they were able to get a winning combo in Strahan and Osi.
  16. Not to mention the guy is one rude comment away from beating someone to death. He already needs a babysitter 24/7 in Dallas just to stay out of trouble.
  17. The DE/LBs seal the edge and than Wilson exploits the underneath game which has been wide open all season because he has all day to throw. He send the DEs and crashes them in and then Wilson or a misdirection play bounces outside. He can't count on the LBs doing their job because they simply don't have the talent to run plays down or cover. The D-line cant generate pressure with four so he cant drop LBs because then Wilson runs wild or a WR gets open. I mean he threw everything he had at the Seahawks and none of it seemed to work, he just isnt all that imaginative hiding the weakness and lack of talent on the D side of the ball, which most DCs can at least attempt to do. Spags was able to cover weaknesses by exploiting the pass rush and dialing up LB blitz to send more people than anyone can block, but he was able to do so because of the talent he had along the front four. Fewell doesnt have the imagination or talent to do anything when the offense adjusts to his game plan.
  18. The Giant's i.e. Mara doesnt run the team like the Raiders when the team is losing he throws the panic reset switch and get rid of the entire coaching staff and GM. He already threw out his butt buddy Gilly, and he'll probably throw Fewell out this season, maybe even Coughlin. JR is safe, Mara will bitch about how the team needs to become more competitive but it's the same thing he says every year to make the ticket buyers feel better.
  19. I bring the point back to Mara JR. The Giant's have had what? three GMs in the last 30 years. I doubt JR is going anywhere in the next few seasons, Mara will make Fewell/McAddo the scape goats and I'm sure he will even throw Coughlin under the bus before he goes after a guy in the FO. Wonder what Mara Sr would be doing in this situation.
  20. As much as people blame Fewell, it's not like he's working with the 2007 defense. We don't have a starting caliber LB, the secondary is down to Rolle and DRC despite it being the strongest unit at the start of the season and the "famous" Giant's pass rush is made up of JPP/Kiwi/Moore/Ayers. I know people keep saying the offense has no talent on that side of the ball, well that was the excuse of the week anyways. I'm just trying to find the talent on the defensive side of the ball that isnt on IR. We had no one to contain Wilson and Lynch bounced off the LBs and Secondary like he was a pin ball, the blame is on much of Fewell as it is the players for giving up 300+ yards rushing. Like everyone has been wanting, Fewell is gone at the end of the year if not after this week, but we could bring in Dick Lebeau and we would still have the same result. It's up to JR to bring in the talent because theres no way in hell JWill, McClain and Kennard are the LBs of the future.
  21. I remember most people saying the Giant's wouldn't win more then 6-8 games. I'm surprised to see after a few wins against so-so team, people changing their minds.
  22. Gentlemen, both our offense and defense are bad, from Coordinators to Players.
