Herc
101 targets, 5 drops, 5% drop rate, 55.4% targeted catch rate http://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/drops/2013/
BlueInCanada
This kinda of stuff can be subjective. What is considered a drop? Does it hit him in both hands and fall out? Does he never have possession of the ball during the catch and it fall out? Does it just have to touch a finger tip to be considered a drop? And how do they considered INTs the WRs fault? Especially with how Eli has the habit of grossly overthrowing WRs by a large margin, which is evident in the four INTs on all his go routes. If you have a couple of minutes and a strong stomach, watch some video of Rueben Randle from last season. Now think of him as our big offensive weapon next season. You don't have to overthrow Randle, just throw to him.

JMFP
Rumor is that Gilbride's offense was one of the most convoluted and complicated in the league When everything worked perfectly, it was impressive. Unfortunately, when it didn't work perfectly, the failures were sometimes catastrophic.
Treehugger
Rumor is that Gilbride's offense was one of the most convoluted and complicated in the league Just look at the Out Routes row. 6 attempts, 1 completion with no drops or INTs. That means 5 of 6 attempts were uncatchable balls, likely because no one knew what was going on, or Eli threw a duck.

That means 5 of 6 attempts were uncatchable balls, likely because no one knew what was going on, or Eli threw a duck. Or no one was blocking Eli was under pressure and he threw it away. The whole 2013 offense debacle I will credit as a culmination of old age and injured (OL) ,complacent (WR's), depleted (RB's), Complicated game plan(OC) and a quickly shell shocked (QB) It all just Snowballed. 2014 changes may take us to the playoffs who Knows but I am optimistic it will. boohyah
Around the league many GM's and coaches who know more football than we ever will, knew Hakeem Nicks was on the market and didn't jump and offer him a multi year deal and instead he takes a one year with the Colts. Why do you think that is?. And why didn't hakeem who was so upset that he didn't get extended last season, not willing to hold out for a better deal. In fact, rumor was he was even okay with a one year "prove it deal" with the Giants?
JMFP
If Eli were a better QB Nicks wouldn't have been late for dozens of meetings and rehab treatments. I knew Eli wouldn't win jack shit without Plaxico.

I knew Eli wouldn't win jack shit without Plaxico. what does that have to do with the fact that the line couldn't protect eli which lead to eli playing like a very below average qb last season? who's the scapegoat if nicks wasn't on the team last year? would eli have had a better season? and eli wouldn't have won jack shit without plaxico if nicks wasn't drafted. nicks and cruz were by far the mvp's of that 2011 season. they completely carried the team
NYG Hampton 27
It wouldn't be listed as a 'target' if he threw it away.I'm not so sure of that. There are a lot of times he throws near a receiver to avoid an intentional grounding. It's really a judgement call on that stat collector.

Not sure what motivated Nicks to phone in the 2013 season, but he and the offensive line were huge reasons why Eli sucked ass. A #1 WR missing in action, a 6th string runningback, and an offensive line that was a complete shambles.......those are the main reasons why Eli blew chunks last season. Eli won his first Super Bowl because David Tyree came up huge......he won his second because Manningham came up huge. In 2014, someone else (who wants to be here) will step up. I think the Colts are thinking insurance in case someone goes down. I'm not sure how you can compare wide receivers with corners, especially since Revis is pushing the market price. You want to make comparisons, then how about the fact that Steve Smith got 3 years out of Baltimore 2-3 days after getting released. If he wants to gamble, then why not go to the Giants last season and ask them to extend him a year?. Same gamble isn't it?
