Finding Hawkins in the later rounds and having him flash enough to be a starter as well as Flott coming into a solid 3rd CB has a ton to do with the defense. That should pay off big time in next couple years as long as their health prevails. Need to develop pass rush some more and I think they're set for a solid 2024. But yeah, as surprisingly good as the defense has been, the offense has been that much worse and that falls on the offensive line and QB.

Before free agency? Maybe...but takes two to tango and maybe he isn't interested. I am sure he will jave interest from multiple teams in free agency

If Sweat doesn't sign an extension, it is only a half year rental. Makes you wonder why...and whether playing opposite Allen and Young in Wash. was his ticket to success. The trade of Minnesota's OG Cleveland for only a 6th makes me wonder why the Giants wouldn't have considered it given we suck and he is good...but oh well. Guess it doesn't pay to get good players when you are tanking.

Flott has played better in a supporting role. Think he can step in for Jackson next year easily. I'd like to see Hyatt get more targets, but tough to see if he isn't open or if the QBs don't have time or if they just cannot find him

Is DeVito not one of the Jake Fromms of the league? I am curious if Jones' neck doesn't magically get better this week... 4 games til the bye...I would've said prior that Vegas, NE, and Wash are all winnable with TT or DJ...but can't see it with DeVito even though I like him as a backup.

Yesterday was one of the first times I saw Thibs set an edge in the running game. Clear his speed was too much for the Jets, but he was disciplined in his pass rush. It is like it clicked that it's more than just lining up and getting past your guy...again...discipline to keep an edge and keep after it. He had a good game and was a large part in why we should've won it. Team as a whole is just bad, but he was a bright spot yesterday. We will see what he brings against LV...but here's hoping for some consistency.

Liked Corbin in the preseason...but Gray deserved his shot as a rookie...never liked Gray as a KR/PR...that should've been Crowder

This. I would have to look, but I remember there being an out after two years. I didn't mind giving Jones a shot for two more years...but he's not the guy on the field. Off the field, he is who you'd want...but that's secondary to playing well. It's not fair cause he has taken an asskicking...but at the same time, paying him longer and more just isn't worth it when the team continues to lose. Fix the offensive line and the pjpeline feeding it. Do that first.
