  1. Every year the guys that I share my season tickets with select one away game to go see. We usually pick a game in the South because not for nothing but it's usually a better party town and well, I'm sure Buffalo is a great city but we usually plan our trips for the month of October..... I prefer warmer climates. The last few trips were New Orleans, Dallas, San Diego & Atlanta.... see the pattern? We wanted Miami this year, figured it would be a great trip.... good food, great weather, good city to go get wasted in (sit at the pool bar @ the Clevelander and just enjoy the scenery). Usually the one guy who plans the whole trip for us gets everything (round trip airfare, hotel, game tickets) for about $600-$700. Now that this game has been moved I could easily see our trip (if we could actually score tickets) being around $1800/person. :brooding:
  2. If they have a top 10 pick in this coming years draft it means were in for a 5 win season & Coughlin gets shitcanned.
  3. Yeah, no shit..... it's because when they get you on the phone and tell you what it will cost your response is going to be, "That's for the 4 of us right?" They respond with, "No, that's for each of you." You respond by hanging up or getting a second home loan to pay for it.
  4. Yeah & last I checked they: A. Didn't make the playoffs because they lost their last 3 games and couldn't put the smack on the worthless Steelers (a division rival) in their last game of the season @ home including in OT. B. The Giants did make the playoffs by faltering and then winning their last game of the regular season (against a division rival) and nearly won a playoff game they had no business being in. For those two reasons alone they should be ranked much closer.
  5. Pardon me but how can you rank the Bengals 10'th and the Giants 17'th when they both had the same tough schedule last season & the same record? Considering neither team has had a real knock out off-season shouldn't they be closer?
  6. If public drunkeness were considered a "charachter issue" wouldn't the infamous picture of our drunken QB be considered a "charachter issue"? I commend Mr. Goodell trying to clean up the league but some of these cases shouldn't be bothered with, he should stick to taking care of the littany of issues following the likes of Leonard Little, Ron Mexico Michael Vick, Pacman Jones, Odell Thurman..... ect.
  7. Vick will either play in that game and lose or be in jail...... in which case we will beat the snot out of.......... Chris Redman?
  8. As much of a douche as Coughlin is we are +.500 in his tenure and have made the playoffs 2 of the 3 years, and in the best interests of the team as a whole (Jacobs and Eli's development as well as the defense getting some teeth back) I'd have to go with #1.
  9. Either Drury or Briere will stay, not both.... personally I gotta believe they will keep the guy with the C. Now I don't know about my Finals prediction..... might be the Wings vs. the Sens
  10. The only sensible positive post I have read about the Yankees lately..... good job! Now can you get into Torre's office and tell this to him..... I don't think he knows this. :brooding: I don't know about a sweep but I will give the Mets this..... they will win 1 game.
  11. At least our schedule looks a little bit easier than in the past few. We are up against the 21'st toughest schedule this year with the opponents combined only having a .496 winning percentage as opposed being tied for the toughest schedule just last year. @ Dallas 9-7 - Very beatable, especially with Romo the Homo at QB. This team also will be going through a season of change with Wade Phillips at the helm, I expect them to come out too fired up as this will be their home opener..... Giants by a touchdown. Green Bay 8-8 - I like how the only addition they made this off-season was Frank Walker..... LOL! Between that and the fact that Mr. Packer Brett Favre is now pissed off at the team for not accquiring Randy Moss I see this one gong as well for him as the last time the Giants faced the Packers .... Giants by 10 minus a Brett Favre concussion. @ Washington 5-11 - I don't want to write off this team until I see them play..... for some strange reason I think that Jason Campbell will give us a headache in this game...... his ability to move around to buy extra time for Moss & Co. worries me..... that plus a 2-0 start makes me think that they can overlook this game getting ready for next week against Filthadelphia. Washington by a FG. Philadelphia 10-6 - Philly could easily be walking into Giants stadium at this point 3-0 & with a bye week following I unfortunatley feel that they play lights out football & McNabb proves he is fully recovered by now. Giants drop this one by 10 points. Jets 10-6 - Release the hounds! Mt. Coughlin erupts after the past two losses and starts Tuesday practice off like a forced labor camp, everyone gets ripped a new asshole. They come out like gangbusters on the Jets and wipe the field with Pennington's lilly ass. Two picks for our secondary and 3 sacks for our D-line, Pennington's throws always seem to be 10-15 mph slower than everyone else and today it costs him killing 2 scoring drives. Giants win by an (un)lucky 13. @ Atlanta 7-9 - The Giants defense smells blood in the water as new coach Bobby Petrino tries to keep Mike Vick Ron Mexico in the pocket..... unfortunatley "The Dogfighter" (also known as a classless piece of shit thug) is still a 56% passer and his recievers still drop too many passes..... that and Mr. Douche still remembers the 7 sacks the Giants put on him last year and he gets more of the same this time 'round. Giants by 14. On a more personal note I've already said this Mike Vick is a thug and will be released after this year.... look for the Petrino lead Falcons to draft Brian Brohm next year as his replacement. San Francisco 7-9 - The last time the Giants faced the 69'ers they had a fellow named Cody Pickett under center, a vastly different team will face the Giants this time around. With a 1700 yard rusher in Frank Gore and an emerging young QB in Alex Smith this looks to be a very high scoring affair as the 49'er defense still doesn't have the right personell and the Giants secondary will be tested by the young gunslinger Smith. You might want to take the over on this game.... Giants on a late TD win by 7. @ Miami 6-10 (in London <-- only because I cant afford the tickets + the travel expense ) - Ted Ginn Jr???? are you kidding me? It doesnt' matter Cam Cameron is still 2 years away from making this team competitive. Who is your Qb by now if Culpepper still can't play? Cleo Lemon? Who the fuck is that? Giants by 17. Bye - Our toughest opponent by far this every year, the Giants will be fighting jet lag and a case of overconfidence going into next week as they will be 5-2 at this point (hopefully not fighting injuries as well). Well, look at the bright spot, at least our following game isn't on Monday night.... for once we avoid the double whammy!!! Dallas 9-7 - By now Homo & Co. will have a little better understanding of the playbook and be amped to come into Giants Stadium to avenge their opening night loss. Except this time we don't fall on our faces after the bye week (for once!), Osi turns Flozell Adams into a turnstile and gets to Romo 3 times forcing 1 fumble that gives us a short field in the 2'nd half to go up by 2 TD's. Dallas battles back but in the end, our special teams (read as kicker) nails a FG to win by 10 with less than 2 minutes left to put the game out of reach. @ Detroit 3-13 - Now with Calvin Johnson to go with Mike Furrey (who?) and Roy Williams the only questions that linger are at the RB position. Can any of the guys they have stay healthy and contribute? I doubt it and so do the Giants, the load up to get after the QB Kitna and do so with a fury as the defense has it's best day yet and records 5 sacks on the day limiting Kitna to 250 yards passing and keeps the plethora of RB's at bay & out of the endzone. Giants by 10 in a low scoring affair. Minnesota 6-10 - Now that the mercury has started to drop will Eli stay hot...... we all hope so but I have a feeling that Brandon Jacobs steals the show in this game with 20 + carries and over 150 yards. This time (unlike the last time the Vikes came to the Meadowlands) there are no last minute heroics necessary and this one is over early. Giants by 10. @ Chicago 13-3 - Back to the same place where someone named Cade McNown once played..... this time against the Giants Rex Grossman looks more like McNown than Jim McMahon as he throws 2 picks and one goes for 6 as Aaron Ross looks like the last guy to wear 31 for the Giants (not when getting burned by Brandon Stokley). Both teams defense keep the score close but the Giants knock the heart out of the Bears by limiting Cedric Benson to less than 3 yards per carry. Giants by 3 on a late FG. @ Philthadelphia 10-6 - With the Giants now 10-2 they are going into Philly with a ton of momentum, even with McNabb still healthy at this late date it doesn't matter..... the Giants run the football down the Eagles throat all game as Jacobs & Droughns team up for a combined 250 yards on the ground. McNabb gets frustrated late in the game and makes a costly mistake as he fumbles while trying to scramble for a first down leading to a Eli Manning TD pass to Shockey to seal it. Giants win a in close one. Washington 5-11 - After playing their hearts out the previous week the Giants have a letdown game against the Foreskins as Washington takes the season series. Giants lose by a TD. @ Buffalo 7-9 - Some of the draft "experts" had the Giants taking Robert Gallery in the first round of the 2004 draft and then trading back into the 1'st round to select JP Losman..... if some of us were pissed about the Eli Manning trade imagine if we would have gone for that bunch of crap. Well crap is what Losman is and the Giants easily hand him a fistfull of sacks and walk away with this one rather easily. Giants by a TD. New England 12-4 - Last home game before the playoffs and the Giants come out fighting, taking an early 2 TD lead and look very tough. Unfortunatley they are up against likely the most talented team that Belichick has ever had the pleasure of coaching and he uses all of his tools..... end outcome, Patriots by 2 TD's. That's my take, some of us will see it as having on rose-colored glasses but I think that if the Giants play to their potential and don't play to the level of their opponent that this sort of record is certianly within reach.
  12. Even the massive Sam Adams couldn't help the Cincinatti run defense last season, I'd take my chances with the foursome that we have already & you can keep Sam's fat, overpaid ass on some other team..... like the deadskins.
  13. The best thing to hear on a short yardage play, "Number 69 is an eligable reciever."
  14. Negative, the Rangers exposed them. Ottowa is going to roll them up in 5 games & face Detroit in the finals.
  15. WOW, Senators PWNAGE tonight against Buffalo.... hope they keep it going just to torture that city again...... Sens for the sweep!!
  16. Y'all are acting like a bunch of bitches....... erm, McNabb's.
  17. OK, great that Plax came and if Shockey were to come too even better.. not to rain on anyones parade but how many times did Eli put the ball 2 feet too high/behind the reciever? The recievers can't be running the wrong routes that many times can they?
  18. Likewise..... fuck Buffalo, the Rangers played their ass off and deserved to win..... and while we are at it Fuck Don VonMassenhoven. :brooding:
  19. Let down, that's all I can say. No other words to discribe how I feel about this series, just going to go a little stream of conciousness here...... In no way do I want to belittle the effort of the Sabres, some of the media and fans feel that they didn't play to their potential in this series but I don't believe that for a minute. IMHO the Sabres played their best and the Rangers had some things unfortunatley not go their way (through decisions they made or the fucking referees), that's why they lost. Jagr said after the game and I happen to agreee with him. The Sabres are a great team with plenty of depth & talent but I don't think that they are any better than the Rangers..... they just got the bounces this series. Some closing thoughts on this season: 1. Jagr was so emotional when being interviewed post-game by the media, it really looked like he was just totally speaking from the heart. Emotionally & physically drained, he really let his guard down and spoke like you or I would if we were in his shoes. The type of talk that you used to hear from Mess, Jagr IMHO has shook that label of being a great player but not a leader. 2. There shouldn't be too much change in this teams roster this off-season, I don't believe there are any players that will be looking at unrestricted free agency with the exception of Shanahan who should be re-signed. 3. With that being said if my name were Glen Sather I would make the following changes: a. Karel Rachunek can be a 7'th defenseman, nothing more.... if he wants more let him do it elsewhere. b. The reports on Marc Staal are good from the OHL playoffs, he has put the team on his shoulders and is helping to carry them foward. He should replace Rachunek from the beginning of the season. c. I can't wait to see a whole season from Ryan Callahan, the kid is a player and ready for the NHL. I would also like to see Brandon Dubinsky get more than a 5 game tryout as he almost made the club out of training camp this year. d. Avoid Scott Gomez, let Philadelphia go after him... or some west coast team. As we all know how well ex-Devils work out when they play for the Rangers (see Bobby Holik). e. Pursue Chris Drury, can't have enough prove winners on the team to help bring along the younger guys. f. Avoid Sheldon Souray, as great as he is on the power play he is terrible on defense..... overall Roszival is a better player if not as flashy. That's all I've got, may the best of luck go to the Sabres, they will need it to get past Ottowa. My prediction for the Stanley Cup final & it's outcome: Senators vs. Ducks: Ducks in 5. Hope the Rangers have a great offseason & I can't wait 'til next year. -RC
  20. Why? Just so he can fire the next guy a week before the playoffs?
  21. OK, sorry but this can't wait until next game. Isbister on goaltender interference??? Are you shitting me? He didn't even touch Miller!!!! Last I checked that's called a screen!!! Did they change VanMassenhitlers mind with that of a beer league ref? They fucking tripped Brodeur the other night and that was allowed (HAHAHA!) but now I guess if you fart while near Miller there is a penalty??? What a load of crap!!!! Also why the hell were Girardi and Tyutin out for the final faceoff & not Roszival & Malik? Furthermore why was Jagr & the first line out there instead of the best defensive fowards we have???? FUCK! I am so goddamn heated it isn't even funny!!! This game should have been over 2-0 & with Buffalo facing elimination Sunday, instead we get hosed by the refs!! This series should read: Buffalo-2 Rangers-2 On Ice Officials-2 FUCK!! FUCK!! FUCK!! FUCK!! FUCK!! FUCK!! FUCK!! :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode:
  22. Nope, Boston doesn't hold a candle to NYC. NYC might have some wierdos but Boston just has too many stuffy old white assholes that think their shit doesn't stink.
  23. FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!! :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode:
