  1. That's some pretty strong words there. You really stand by that? That play would've caused our defense to automatically contrain Santana Moss? We can only wonder...
  2. Very much so. He brings playmaking capability to our squad and it's always nice to have depth and a guy who is talented at nickel. And also, who else was there that we could have taken?
  3. As we all know, the Giants have sucked against the 3-4 over the last few years. Very rarely have we done well offensively playing a 3-4 defense. Well, at least playing both aspects of the game well (running and passing). If managed properly, the 3-4 could really help us but for now, I want to use Osi and Strahan properly and get the most out of those two. Don't want to waste a tandem like them now do we?
  4. The thing is, they are set at nearly every position. Maybe a little help in the secondary but that can be fixed by draft. All they need to do is get James back and just win in the post-season.
  5. Speaking of new members, whatever happened to Wide Right? I thought he was an excellent poster with lots of insight to offer to the table. Hopefully he shows up soon. I'll be looking for some relatively new members that look like they can help bring this board up. I like this bigblueuntili die fella...
  6. What is it? I promise, I won't tell anyone on the GMB.
  7. I don't agree with what Ozzie said and I obviously know even if A Rod retired today he'd be known as a much better hitter then Ozzie but... what exactly has A rod won?
  8. Nah, the fun part of the league is doing live drafting. This would be too slow and not fun. So can we change it to head to head now?
  9. He is but he'd only get better in those ballparks.
  10. Because we still have some pretty big issues right now and Whitfield despite getting up there in age, is still a very nice tackle too have behind our guys. Maybe if we fill our voids by FA and earlier in the draft and there is someone we shouldn't pass on due to the position in the draft then we should go for it.
  11. Imagine if Albert was in say the Phillies stadium 81 times a year? For the sake of fantasy, I'm glad he's not. It wouldn't be fair.
  12. I didn't really see anything this off-season to make them worse. Kolb may live up to how he played with them two years ago and they have some young players who are only getting better. I put them at 84-78.
  13. Younger and I know all I needed to know by reading Damned Yankees.
  14. Trust me, we all know that. Especially if the Knicks are going to trade for him. This is reminding me more of the Yankees from the late 70s to late 80s more and more. Except they actually won.
  15. I'm not even a Knicks fan and I feel bad for them. I mean, seriously, what the fuck are you thinking Isiah?
  16. I had Vlad this year and he was frustrating. His shoulder injury, at times ice cold, and he also is getting older. Teixera on the other hand, his stats are getting better and better and he is so talented with a great lineup playing in a great ballpark. I'm having a problem deciding between Pujols and A-rod. Part of it is my bias and hatred against A-rod which brings him down. If he does struggle, I want to enjoy it completely, not realize that while he is sucking, my fantasy team is going down the tube. Same case for Manny and Papi except it's a double whammy. That's where the fantasy and baseball worlds intersect. Anyone know if the new Cards stadium is going to be a hitters ballpark or not? That may affect my drafting if I do have the first overall pick.
  17. Well, I remember last year it was I think a 6 hour period for drafting per each team at least for the early rounds I believe and I like that better then the half hour drafting periods. Some of us here actually do have jobs, school, lives, etc.
  18. Maybe a bit harsh but overall a pretty decent assessment of Clancy. I want to keep our four man, possibly five with Duckett and Allen rotation with our DTs. Can keep our guys rested and we do have some potential at that position. A position where we thought was our major weakness heading into last seasons looking like a bright spot.
  19. Yeah, I've basically looked everywhere, nowhere in sight. Maybe fuddy has it but for some reason his site doesn't work for me...
  20. Maybe for this season if things go horribly but odds are not long term with FA and the draft.
  21. I like what the Brewers are doing with their team though. Got some power, got some young talented players, and have a very nice ballpark. They just need to put the pieces together.
  22. I had some sleepless nights in anticipation for your plan, and it has lived up to the expectations. I basically agree whole-heartedly with everything you mention except even though the player may have some decent value, I don't want to spend another first round pick on a DT, especially if we re-sign Clancy.
