  1. It wasn't Seubert. It was a different player.
  2. Okay, say we're in 2007, reflecting upon an amazing super bowl winning season lead by Eli Manning. You're friend goes up for you saying, "So man, where did it all start for Eli?" Well, here's where the debate begins. Just so you guys know, all of this stuff I had was deleted because when you put in a link, it highlights the page and i hit enter by accident . So just read and appreciate Giants vs. Cowboys 2005. The season is almost over. The Giants are 5-10, riding on an 8 game losing streak. Eli is 0-6, looking to get his first taste of victory instead of waiting 9 months. Eli had a great game, not looking at the stats but by his nice management, looking at his support cast and more. He had 3 TD passes (four including his play call change on Barber's game winning TD run). That got him his first win and huge momentum going into the off-season Giants vs. Chargers 2005. We all know the story. Eli didn't want to go to San Diego, demanded a trade, landed with us. But the SD fans aren't so easy to forgive and forget. They gave him everything they got and more. Yelling at him, cursing at him, and anything imaginable. No problem for Eli. Shook it off, lead an excellent first drive that was stalled by the idea of not going for it on fourth and short (which is an issue for later if you disagree). Then it was 21-3 and things were looking terrible. Eli looked okay then, nothing spectacular. However, he lead some nice drives and before you knew it, it was 21-20 going into halftime. We all know what happened from there but you surely cannot put the loss on this kid's shoulders. Giants vs. Rams 2005. This game is self-explanatory. Coming off the Chargers game, Eli was red hot and this time turned it into points. He just had a career day and that's how this game made it onto the list of candidates for his coming out game. Of course, that's what 4 TDs 0 INTs would do for you. Giants vs. Broncos 2005. This IMO is my personal choice. Maybe being there with all the energy and emotion factored into this but still, it has to be considered a top candidate. Down 23-10 with limited time to go, staring right at 3-3 going into a key divisional game against Washington, Eli had a major job to do. Lead a 14 point comeback with limited time against it turns out the second best team in the AFC. No problem for the kid. He smoothly lead a nice crisp drive that cut the lead to six. Then, on his next drive threw an INT that was made by a spectacular catch by Bailey. We got the ball back with 3:36 to go and a long field to cross. Some plays that stuck out was eli's spin move when Gerard Warren was chasing him and he threw a pass to Burress across the field to get a first down on third down. Then, he had that 25 yard strike to Shockey that setup a potential game winning TD pass. And we all know what happened from there Enjoy, post your thoughts and let's have a debate on this.
  3. This situation only confuses me more of why we traded Seo. We aren't going anywhere with this rotation now. It isn't that strong as it is and someone is going to get hurt.
  4. Guys, all of you are missing out the point that there was a penalty on the play... on us. A seperate call, ineligible man downfield. The penalties would have offset calling for another 43 yard try by Bryant which he still would have missed.
  5. Actually, we're all wrong. We still had another ineligible man downfield so the penalties would have offset.
  6. Yeah, definitely for me too. For some reason, I went to my soccer game after and it sucked. Then it looked like the Texans would beat the Jets but after an awesome return by JJ Moses, Carr had four chances inside the 10 to win the game but they lost and the Jets won which made it twice as bad. It was at the 4 yard line where Seubert was taken down. It was pass interference or nothing. What really should have happened was if Allen was a vet, he would have spiked the ball because it was third down and there would have been a few seconds left and we could've taken another field goal.
  7. And he's also an amazing downhill/short yardage back. He just knows how to get the yard.
  8. You can blame all 11... actually 12 people on the field for that one. Our 11 for not tackling, and the 12th being the ref for not calling a block in the back at the beginning.
  9. I'm not. They're excellent role players though.
  10. He's very raw. I don't watch basketball but from what I understand he does have potential and is an excellent defender.
  11. I think it's much better though in a live draft if everything works out. What exactly would we do?
  12. I agree, you can't seriously think that the Knicks will contend now. What's the point of having all this talent at 15-37? Get your young guys develop and hopefully for them, their future will come 10 years eariler then it may be.
  13. Why don't you just get us a clip of someone taking out a grenade and blowing your house up? But if you insist, I'll somewhat fill your needs link
  14. Yeah but when you are rebuilding and obviously out of playoff contention, they should be looking to start Nate Robinson, especially with the show he put up at the slam dunk contest.
  15. This question has also been in the back of my mind occasionally. Never really gave it too much thought. I doubt he would've caught it even if he wasn't interviewed. That is what us Giants fans call the "Danny Kanell pass" I believe. Or is it Kent Graham :brooding:
  16. Wow, those is some strong stuff. What drive was this? First of the game?
  17. I was thinking of putting the Brewers Mets game, the one ranked #9 there. That game was so damn long. Got home from my friends house at 9:30 and turned on the tv to see that it was only like the bottom of the fifth and we were down by like 3. We tie it up, they take the lead, and it just kept on repeating. Then Cameron struck big time. He was obviously turning on to one of his streaky times of the season where he just crushes everything he hits and got the game tying run on a pitcher who hadnt given up a run in what, 31 innings? Usually, I enjoy extra inning games but this game I was just burnt out and wanted to go to sleep. So after Piazza got the walk instead of cheering loud I just breathed a sigh of relief and went to bed. Oh, speaking of Turnbow, he may be a nice fantasy choice too.
  18. This kind of does remind me of the Orioles situation last year. A lot of hype, going to compete with the Yankees and all that. Then they are going to fall apart at the end. However, at least the Jays were kind of competitive before they made all of these aquisitions.
  19. Well, I'm fine with the starting o-line as it is but I guess it's always good to have a guy like Seubert behind some of our guards if they do go down.
  20. At least get Curry and Frye to do something. I need something out of this disaster..
  21. What'd those two idiots say about the situation?
  22. They can't do that. I need Frye and Curry to start for fantasy.
  23. Sad thing is... that lineup looks awesome on paper. Yet, it's not all about how it looks on paper and Isiah should know that by now.
  24. The Francis trade isn't so bad but if they didn't screw their seasons up earlier it wouldn't be so bad. What would you guys giving up for KG?
