  1. Seeing the cap issues in Washington, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Patten wound up being cut and I would love to have him with the G-men this season. I don't think the Skins are going to hold on to Patten assuming there is going to be no salary cap next season so there is no point of letting him go. But then again, Snyder has proved us wrong before.
  2. Lo Duca at a major RBI position in the lineup? No. I am hoping for a breakout player somewhere in the bottom of the lineup. Possibly Matsui or Diaz/Nady. Best case scnerio would be Diaz or Nady because they are both power RBI guys when they are on so they can go in the #5 slot. I hope that the lineup will move around as the season goes on.
  3. And when you think about it, Toomer not Plax has made catches that have changed around games. If Toomer didn't make the catch against the Rams that made the lead 17-7, I think despite them having the ball on the one, we would have lost some momentum considering it took us what, 3 plays to get that yard? Obviously against the Broncos, it was Toomer that came back for Eli and made the clutch catch to win the game. Against the Eagles for the first time, it was Toomer that tapped both his feet down on fourth and one to get that much hated yard. If we didn't score that, the momentum was with the Eagles considering we started with first and goal on the one. Against the Seahawks, that TD pass basically defied football laws of catching. That was just unbelievable. That basically setup Shockey's game tying 2 point conversion which should have set up at least one game winning kick. Didn't watch the Skins game but Toomer wasn't the one getting frustrated of Eli's play. He made that amazing TD catch for Eli's first TD of the game (I saw that one) and later got called back from a TD pass from Eli for what I've heard, bullshit holding call on Snee. Speaking of that second TD being called back, what was that play like?
  4. I agree with putting Floyd sixth. Here's how I see it because I want to see him and Delgado separated. However, I don't want Beltran third and I don't want Lo Duca second. But in order to get Floyd sixth, there may be no other way.
  5. If we get desperate, we may have to transform Toomer into that guy.
  6. btw, I looked up who the Bucs drafted with the picks we gave them for Whittle and here's what I got. With the 225th pick in the draft, the Bucs selected Paris Warren, who when I looked him up on the Bucs website, his stats are unlisted. With Whittle we got some nice depth and some quality starts. I agree with that trade.
  7. Looking at the list of FA WRs, your description of that guy we should be looking for appears to be not available. The two best guys would be Jurevicious, who probably will not come back here, and Troy Brown. So we may very well be forced to find that guy by draft. link of FA WRs
  8. Whittle was actually a fine acquisition before the season started. It was nice to have him during the 2004 season even though it didn't make much of a difference. If he didn't cost as much against the cap, I don't think he would have been cut.
  9. Coco Crisp. As if the name wasn't enough, it turns out he is one of the up and coming CFs in the MLB.
  10. Been fine. Haven't looked at NYG Forums in about a month now, been pretty busy with this one. Glad you came over. I like the variety of minds we have here and when controversies come up, there will be some fun debates. How about you, you been at the GMB the last few months?
  11. That's what they said about Gerard Warren. I would love to have Ngata but considering the good amount of depth we have at DT especially if we bring back Clancy and seeing some of our main issues becoming clearer and clearer, we shouldn't be looking to draft DTs in the early rounds.
  12. Besides Ngata and Greenway, can some of you guys give me some background info on these prospects that we have interviewed? Keep us updated Pizan.
  13. I put it as an estimate of 5 times a year Plax does not want to. Seeing of what you guys are saying about Stovall, he looks like a guy who could be a fine fit in our offense. Our worst weakness on offense this season arguably was getting TDs in the red zone. Considering all of Stovall's attributes, he can help us in that area.
  14. Why would they do that? Schaub has actually proved he can be a decent backup while all Vick has proved is that he can get in trouble. They'd have some sibling rivlary in that locker room.
  15. 6th Raiders. Al Davis lives for players like this guy.
  16. Falling out of the first round because of that? Wow.
  17. Division title really isn't that big of a deal, even coming from a Giants fan. All it does is get you a nice t-shirt or hat, nothing more. Doesn't make up for losing in the ALDS and doesn't make up for getting shutout 23-0 in the playoffs.
  18. I'll just watch online ninth period and miss the first hour of the game. Good thing all I won't be focusing in is gym and my teacher is a Mets fan.
  19. That's because you had no one else. Womack couldn't hit shit last year and he would have been basically your only other candidate.
  20. My bad, long night. We don't need a stud WR though. I'll take a decent speed, nice handed WR and put him at the #3 for a decent price. Not every team has to have great depth at every position but we need to do the best we can to prevent disaster.

    LB news

injury prone- only has had one major injury as far as I know. Aging- He's 27. It's all about the price he's asking for IMO.
  22. With Burress' problem of "not showing up" to every game and that injuries can occur at every time, I think six WRs would be needed if we want to make a serious run. If Burress runs a quick slant and gets nailed in the shoulder over the middle by Brian Dawkins, just like that, our #2 WR is Jamaar Taylor. I don't want that in the back of my mind throughout the seasons. It's not the question of that we don't need them when we are healthy, but it's the question of when these main guys aren't healthy.
  23. Was anyone else listening to 660 today when a lot of the fans calling in were ripping Sheffield to shreads and wishing they had signed Vlad instead of him?
