  1. Yeah, if that would be the case we'd draft a safety, LB or WR. It is too early to say where we are looking to draft this year.
  2. If only we knew that the first time watching it.
  3. Where's the other three members of the Fab 4?
  4. I never want to think about that game again. Maybe all I'd want to see is Eli's comeback drive to tie the game up.
  5. Agreed on that one. It's horrible over there.
  6. Personally, I want him batting second. This is what I want our first five hitters to look like: 1. Reyes 2. Beltran 3. Wright 4. Delgado 5. Floyd I want to get someone to separate Floyd and Delgado because they are both lefties. However, if we are facing a righty to start the game this has the capability for four of our first five hitters to be lefty on righty. I like that. I'm not too intrigued with the idea of putting Wright at the #3 hole but that goes the same for Floyd and Delgado. I've heard that Willie really wants Lo Duca to bat second. I would hate that move. That would have double plays written all over it if Reyes gets on base before him.
  7. We got the thread back, now all we need is the predictions.
  8. So currency, are you worried that the Blue Jays are gonna sneak up on you guys?
  9. If Eli plays good consistently then there will be no frustration. That's all.
  10. Didn't backpedal. He's not sorry, he just didn't want the fine to be as bad.
  11. Very good chance even if we do sign a vet. But everything is in question right now so it is way too early to predict that.
  12. I agree, trading would be more interesting for the league.
  13. Not Charles Woodson. Our money would be much better spent on a guy like Ronde, even Law. I want to stay away from Woodson as much as possible.
  14. Weren't you the one who recentely predicted 103 wins and a choke in the playoffs? You always get me confused.
  15. I hope you're right. All we can do is wait and hope.
  16. Ronde would be a nice fit but if he's looking for an even larger deal, well, he may have to take a little less to come here. He's looking for probably a few million shorter of Law's bonus which is still a lot. But the Bucs will try to get him back, so we'll just let the situation unfold.
  17. I think with the proper little signings as we both mentioned earler, the support cast theory you just explained is true. Steelers aside from Polamalu don't have a spectacular secondary at all. They have a decent line with an excellent NT. And they have four very good LBs. What we're doing if we stay healthy will eventually take us in the direction of the promised land, and I'm exicted for it.
  18. Yeah but in terms of predicting wins or losses, we need to look at the SOS to determine that.
  19. I have similar expectations record wise, somewhere along the lines of 11-5 or 12-4 and that would be incredible looking at the opponents on our schedule. Besides playing the top three picks in the draft, it's going to get hard. Through FA, I want to get a CB. I don't want to go high with a corner depending on who is available. We are built to win now and as we know, CBs take long to develop. I'd go for an OLB possibly or even a WR with our first rounder. We can get a solid CB, bring back Will and before we know it, have four guys with potential in our secondary. If that is the case, then I'd like to draft a safety. I want to do the little things this off-season that take a team to the super bowl. Last year we did the big things.
  20. I remember he did decent against TO in 2004 at home against the Eagles. I think he should've been put up against Moss instead of Webster against the Raiders for those reasons you listed. The thing is, we may re-sign Allen, Petereson might come back, and we most likely are signing a solid FA or drafting a CB high. Just like that, Deloatch goes to the dime back again. That's the crazy part about this situation so far.
  21. I'm fine with Deloatch on the roster too seeing that he does work hard but all I'm implying is Walker has proven more. That's all. If Walker were to step in for a game or two we'd be fine. Long term would be a problem but not many teams have a fifth CB who can step in perfectly long term anyway. I don't want Deloatch starting though. We are built to win now and I'd like to see Deloatch at nickel where his covering won't be too critical for the game but he still can learn and possibly become a decent CB. I guess there is a reason why we are sticking by him. We'll see how things turn out in the off-season. No one in their right mind can properly predict our CB lineup for next season.
  22. That must suck to have opening day at 10:05 for you east coasters
