  1. Something tells me after having Wang come up big when he was in ans Small and Chacon coming up huge when they were in, Steinbrenner will look towards call ups and small trades with players with potential. Unfortunately, the case with Small and Chacon may not be for everyone.
  2. Nice to see fans like you who understand this Damon situation. Too bad Steinbrenner didn't have the same train of thought as you when he signed him You guys certainly have starting depth but it was like a domino effect for them throughout the season. One good start by a guy like Randy and the next three or four had decent starts too. Same goes for others. And one guy gets hurt, then the other. They seem to fall more then one at a time. You guys will have a fun season and if the Sox rotation stays healthy, then there are going to be some excellent hitting vs. pitching matchups that I'm looking forward to watching!
  3. Walker has more experience and was actually drafted. He's also made some plays that have jumpstarted or wrapped up games (Vikings game a few years ago, Steelers INT last year). Not saying much but he does have more on his resomae (I know I'm not even close there on spelling, just figure out yourself what it is) then Deloatch. The only thing Deloatch has is height. I want both of these guys to stay but to say that Deloatch would be better then Walker I believe is false.
  4. Him or Deloatch. Take your pick. Peterson went down this year we still didn't need to use Walker much if at all. Especially if we sign and/or draft a CB (which should be our #1 priority) then he'd be even moved down further down the depth chart. He got bullshitted on one of those penalties against Dallas.
  5. There is no harm keeping Walker on the roster considering how slim we are with depth there. Even if we do draft two guys, it is nice to have a guy like him who has played in games before and actually has made some big plays as a fourth or fifth CB. There is no reason to say why he is not on the roster before training camp.
  6. I wish we made the playoffs lately
  7. We aren't hoping that, we are wishing. I think maybe just maybe he can do better then your predictions that were pretty accurate btw. His RBI count should go up considering there should be more guys on base for him.
  8. Welcome back.... Where are the others?
  9. Maybe, just maybe to get our full ability out of our players, we can do a rotation. Green, Pierce, Emmons, and Torbor all have potential. Obviously, Pierce is an every down starter but those three can do very good things each and to save them for the long haul, early in the season we can rotate them in, possibly for the first half. Just another crazy idea B)
  10. Deloatch and webster according to EA will be on the roster next season. Webster should be starting and I'd like Deloatch to be a dime back. Watching him play makes me want to barf.
  11. Wow, that's a lot of proven talent going on the market. I'd love to sign a guy like Kendall possibly. I want to keep Luke and am totally against trading him and eventually drafting that tackle but I guess Fabini being on the market will spice up that rumor.
  12. I hate the Jets as much as the next Giants fan but let's make sure our QB is defininitely for real before we rip guys like Pennington. I couldn't stand Pennington but I didn't want a guy like him to fall this way.

    Opening Day

Nice, is this your first year going there?
  14. I don't want to bet my reputation on something like that again. I had Carlos at 36 homers 137 RBIs and a. 294 BA last year. Obviously, I wasn't fully serious but I expected better.
  15. People who called that a bonehead move even after missing two straight years are retards. He has promising talent, great speed. It's just a shame that he hasn't gotten everything together.
  16. Okay, count me in then. I'm sure we'll get enough competitors for this.
  17. No, I was just throwing a random name out there. Notice where I said or other FA.
  18. You know, Diehl had just as many false starts against Seattle as Luke. We have plenty other issues to worry about and considering our o-line is gaining chemistry and has loads of potential there is no point of breaking them up even further.
  19. Apparently, we've just been overpaying guys who have potential, not proven. Hopefully that'll come back to help us too. Sadly with all the money we spend, David Wright may be the least paid.
  20. I say restructure. What do we got to lose if we play him with a low contract? If he does play good, give him a medium sized one, not to the length of the original one he got because he still needs to prove he can stay healthy consistently. If he doesn't work, then we'll still have Pierce, Torbor, Emmons (maybe), Blackburn and possible an FA.
  21. Isiah's officially jumped off the cliff if he is really coveting Steve Francis. Just accept that you aren't going anywhere this year and probably next year so start rebuilding.
  22. Trying to ressurect the debate with the Fab 4 by bringing this to the new board?
  23. I agree. Not saying much but we all know Allen was our best cover corner of the year and if not for arguably one of the best WRs in football burning him in week 16 we wouldn't be that bad with him. Obviously, he won't be the playmaker we thought we were getting when we drafted him but he's a very good tackler, a major reason we didn't give up too many big rushing plays this season.
