Reese's comments were disappointing. I wonder if he gets it.

The Giants go through GMs slower than Rome goes through Popes. That's why Reese is still around. Coordinators, Coach, and next, Reese if things don't turn around.

12 years, 5 playoffs, 3 division titles, 2 conference titles, 2 super bowl championships. If the Giants find another guy that can do the same over the next 12 years, this will be a happy message board. No coincidence that as Ernies guys aged out and Reese's guys largely washed out, the playoffs disappeared. That 2011 SB was won largely because Eli was brilliant and JPP, Tuck, and Canty reemerged. Reese won the fucking lotto with that 2011 win, but took it as a confirmation of his approach. Now, guys that should be 4-5 year core vets are out of the NFL or on 2nd contracts elsewhere.

And when you miss on the mid-late rounds, you need to replace those misses with high-priced free agents, which in turn makes it more difficult to sign your good players to more expensive post-rooke contracts (See: Linval Joseph). I give Reese a "D" in drafting, and a "C" in free agency. The Giants record is a reflection of the roster, which Reese built.

I'm guessing Reese rolls the dice on another guy with an unpronounceable name who will be injured by Week 3. That's how the current dynasty was built.

Coughlin renewed Giants pride. I wish him a great retirement and thank him for 2 Championship seasons. Having said that, I'm done watching this team until they get a defense. It's too painful.
