  1. I feel bad for TC. Tom proved he can win with the right players, and he did it under 2 GMs. Reese hasn't proven anything. He had one solid draft, a handful of other good picks. But the vast majority have lacked the toughness, intelligence, or instincts to play NFL football. Lack of cap room and lack of playmakers: that's been his legacy. Reese was given an incredible luxury - he didn't have to replace a coach or QB. That is a task that hobbles most GMs. All he had to do was fortify certain positions over the past 9 drafts. This season this team was the worst roster I've seen under Coughlins tenure. As long as this GM, training staff, and scouting operation are NY Giants, I don't have much faith. They have all let Coughlin down. For what it's worth, though, Coughlin had a very shaky season coaching this team. I don't know if that was just him pushing the envelope because he felt he had too, or if he was too loyal to his assistants and players and gave them the rope that is now going to hang him. Maybe a little of both.
  2. It's time to for TC to retire. He has nothing left to prove. 2015 was maybe his worst year as coach. Really disappointed with everyone on this team, with a handful of exceptions.
  3. As if I needed more reasons to hate Reese, I'm sitting here rooting for this trash bag Philly team.
  4. Coughlin is overly aggressive with bad roster. Reese is the truly clueless one. Anyway, I hope he retires. If he forces the Giants to fire him, it woulf only add to the misery.
  5. He's treating Beckham like Parcells treated LT. My criticism of Coughlin is that he doesn't take over games. He gives his players and assistants all the room they need to blow games. I would have to go back to the Tiki Barber years to find a shakier coaching job
  6. 2015 has been a season with a weak roster and reckless coaching.
  7. There is no more pain for me. Just numbness.
  8. The sooner Coughlin retires the sooner Reese loses another excuse. This defense is a joke, and that's not the fault of Coughin or Spags.
  9. They cut him because they prefer more injury prone free agents.
  10. Jacobs....one of my favorite Giants ever. I still have the 2007 playoffs DVRd..... dude was a beast against Tampa Bay.
  11. Seph, if you reconcile yourself to the fact that Reese sucks, everything makes more sense. Why bother drafting a versatile linebacker who can pass rush, cover, and run defend when you can draft a one dimensional defensive end?
  12. Agreed with Tree and Nas. Personally I think Darkwa is the best runner, but Jennings is a good runner and is very versatile
  13. Agreed, and the tiebreakers don't currently favor them.
  14. lol I was certain he was going to the eagles
  15. Google the scouting report for DaMoron. Basically, an immature idiot who could develop into a one dimensional pass rusher if he can overcome character issues. But "huge upside".....so a prototypical Reese pick.
  16. I'm thinking Miami scores at will against the Reese Curtain.
  17. I can understand yelling at Jerry Reese.
  18. Another great Reese pick. Just to rub some shit into the wound, I expect the eagles to sign him, and he will have a 3 sack game against the Giants Fucking book that.
  19. Ogbah has a name the Giants love. Is he oft-injured?.... If so this is a no brainer.
  20. Great points. And the main reason Linval is gone is because Reese did such a shit job in the draft that holes needed to be patched in free agency, which sucked money out of the bank that could have been used to keep the few hits he has had. But I also look at our running game, see with my own eyes that Darkwa has the most pop, and wonder why we are rotating 4 guys and running inside against the Jets. Plenty of blame to go around, and I'd have to go back to the Tiki Barber years to find a less steady performance by the coaching staff.
  21. I agree. I love TC but I think it is time to turn the page if this team misses the playoffs. But if Tom goes and Reese stays, I expect another 5 years of bad football. Coughin has worked under 2 GMs. With all due respect to the 2007 draft class, those 2 SB wins were largely the product of Ernies guys. That 2011 win would never had been possible if not for Eli and Coughlin. The foundational cracks were already apparent in 2011, notably an offensive line that was on its last legs. If Coughlin is fired, much of the blame will go to Reese. Reese was a much better scout than GM.
  22. +1 Like you, I was against that call, as well as against how they handled the Dallas game and the Patriots game. They almost let the Bills back into it as well. Don't want to beat it to death, but if you go against the odds with a weak team, you are going to lose more than win, and I think the record reflects that. I don't want to see Coughlin fired. But I think he should retire, and if he refuses, and is fired, I think his decisions this season will be part of the rationale.
  23. I agree Tom has a shit roster. Our best pass rusher is working with an oven mitt. As Polian suggested, they have a shit defense and no running game. To me, it's like watching Hot Rod trying to jump a pool with a moped....the gambles are going to fail. Tom gambled and lost....and has all season. In a more fair world, injuries would not wipe out the few guys that are actually good, leaving a skeleton crew of losers and 2nd stringers. And in a fair world, some of those gambles would pay off. But everything has blown up in their face, and part of the reason is a stubborn refusal to play the clock and the percentages. I credit TC for believing in his guys. I've lost faith in Reese's ability to find football players.
