  1. Agreed. But I could see a team picking him up for vet minimum.
  2. Never to early to think of another backup QB. Anyone out of Syracuse this year?
  3. I've got Reese swinging for the fences.... Antonio Morrison, Florida, 5th round at linebacker.
  4. I see us getting whomever can do the most back flips.
  5. Agreed. In my opinion, he deserves more credit for the current state of the team than the team he inherited in 2007.
  6. He appears to be another Jon Beason....very good when healthy, not very healthy very often.
  7. Anyone who thinks the Giants will take a linebacker in the 1st round, just stop. Stop it.
  8. Is the money spent that much of an upgrade over Prince and Ayers? I don't think so. Maybe. Adding a DT was the biggest upgrade because Kuhn was thoroughly average at best. Still no linebacker help, and I expect none. JPP 2016 will be more close to the 2015 version than the 2014 version. I will contain my glee until I see some 4th quarter plays that lead directly to wins.
  9. Hopefully the defense won't suck shaft next year. We'll see. I'm not going to get overly excited by any of this.
  10. I guess since it's his ass on the line this year, he felt the roster needed some help.
  11. Giants GM Jerry Reese believes the 1985 Yugo GV he purchased from his cousin Ned is "only a few parts away" from matching the 170mph speed of a brand new BMW M5. "Sure, the car needs some work, obviously," Reese said Thursday at the NFL Scouting Combine. "But I think it's close enough to believe that we can realistically compete with a 2016 BMW M5." "If we rotate a couple tires, we could be looking at 150, 160, maybe even 170 miles per hour. There are some other reasons, too. Sure, the 1.1 liter engine is part of it, but Ned made some bad decisions. Sometimes it was the road conditions, sometimes it was the weather, and sometimes it had to do with some other things. We couldn't drive the car the way we wanted at the end of some roads. And we've just got to shift some gears sometimes to open that Yugo up". "A few parts here and there, and this Yugo could be looking at 170 mph instead of 63 mph. That's the way cars can be. You have to go in there and floor it. We didn't do that enough. But wait until 2016....I'm putting some new floormats in this bad boy." "Check your rearview mirror, M5"
  12. According to Reese, it had nothing to do with the untalented, soft, injury-prone players....it was this thing called "closing it out". Apparently, regardless of talent, if a team can "close out" a game, they get the Win. So, hopefully next year, the fans will chant "CLOSE. IT. OUT!!!" and then the Giants players will close out the game, and then they get a win.
  13. http://www.upi.com/Sports_News/NFL/2016/03/02/Tom-Coughlin-still-has-hard-feelings-toward-New-York-Giants/4881456941043/
  14. Or, hire me....I can get this team to 6-10, for alot less. Or maybe JR is right....this is a loaded team, just need to find a better coach and then destroy whatever Brady Bunch Taboo Idol they've got hanging in the trainer's room.
  15. A great coach, a great QB, and maybe the best wide receiver in football will make an otherwise shit sandwich team competitive for large parts of a ballgame. But in the end, the better team will usually prevail. Show of hands.....who on this board ever felt this defense was going to slam the door on anyone in the 4th quarter? The Giant shouldn't even use the term "linebacker" in their media guide. They should replace it with "other team's bitch". That's what has been going on for the last 4 years; but sure Jerry, you keep dreaming that you've got the same talent level you inherited, and it's all just bad luck.
  16. LOL You could say there are sure to be some legal fireworks with ESPN.
  17. I agree. I'm not expecting anything from this guy but maybe some camp competition and then a spot on the practice squad. Hope I'm wrong, but assuming that Reese's guys are non-impact players has been better than 50/50
  18. Just get the whole "linebacker" concept out of your head. Not until 5th or 6th round, at the earliest.
  19. Agreed 100% I'm not concerned about losing depth....we are talking about 3 guys who were too banged up to play on a 6-10 team.
