I don't want to see him go on the IR as long as he's medically-cleared to play. But we definitely need to get Mix in there to take some of the load off him....especially in terms of run-blocking. If we take Plaxico out on runs, it's telegraphing our call to the defense. So, he should be rested for all but obvious passing downs, and replaced by Mix, or someone else.

The NFL wants to have the crazy-seat-of-your-pants fun of watching a QB scramble all over the place and make a big play, but they don't want to see their QBs get hurt. And while that makes sense from a marketing perspective, the laws of physics say otherwise. So the NFL has decided to completely shaft the defense in general. I'm convinced that last season, had Kiwi sacked Vince Young, they would have called roughing the passer anyway....that's why that play didn't bother me much. If they really want fair rules, they would say something like this: 1 - If the QB is in the pocket, and is grabbed, it's an instant sack....to "protect the QB". 2 - If the QB is outside the tackles (i.e., outside the hashmarks), and/or over the line of scrimmage, then for rules purposes he is no longer a passer, but a runner....i.e., roughing the passer penalties are now voided.

I think you're right....time for Mix to come in, and take some reps off Plaxico. We need a guy who is 100% out there right now, and it's pretty obvious that Plaxico is having problems with his cuts.

Jeter showed last night why he deserves MVP. With the game on the line, there is no other player in baseball I would rather have at the plate.

I was a little surpised. I'd been away since the Giants/Panther's game, and I guess I expected things to be a little more loose. I suppose I still haven't adjusted to the post-CE period.

Flood control has been brutal, and I got banned for saying that New Orleans had better flood control than the Giants boards. Kind of pissed me off that they would be so bitchy about it.

I got flagged for 24 hours for the following comment: "New Orleans had better flood control than the Giants message board. Someone bring in Ray Nagin...I think we need a chocolate message board." For anyone on the Giants boards lately, the flood control has totally sucked. And anyone following the news would know that Ray Nagin made those chocolate comments. I thought was decent use of satire, but apparently I struck a nerve. I'm interested to know if people think what I said rose to a remark that merited suspension.

Regardless of the LA signing, we still need defense the 1st 2 rounds. Preferably, DT and CB. In fact, I'd still be fine signing another LB.
