There's been plenty of throws where Plaxico and Shockey have been in the right place and the ball doesn't get there. They have often been in the right place and had the ball thrown behind them or 2 feet over their heads.We know they are hotheads and in Plax's case he can be a dick, but to blame them all the ills of the offense because they have some characters issues, is wrong. And to say they run incorrect routes etc, fair enough, but fact is whether they ran them right or wrong, they were open quite a bit and were ignored. Plays will break down, that's why the QB has options in his play calling. Most teams out there would want Shockey on their team, he can't be all that bad.

2 years ago, Eli's favorite target was Plaxico, not Toomer, in fact it took Toomer 6 games almost to catch more than 2 passes from him. I'll say it again, Eli not being comfortable has nothing to do with the fact that his mechanics let him down or that he doesn't go through his progressions fast enough. Most top level qb's at able to see where his 3-4 options are in a few seconds, often times Eli hasn't looked off the first receiver when pressure is in his face.

They have a franchise QB in Carr and for years gave him no offensive lineman to block for him, then they get rid of Carr and pay Schaub big bucks and get him no help in the draft. That and not drafting Reggie Bush.

Nas, there is reason to be optimistic, especially in our division. Think about it, what have the Eagles/Cowboys and Skins done this offseason that set's them apart from us next season.........nothing. You can talk superbowl all you want but the division is first and foremost. We can win the division. I'm telling everyone this, if Eli plays better, we're going to be a much better team.

I think it's a bad idea, not that I don't want to see him play, because I think he's a stud. But with all the injuries at DE last year, I don't see how it's a good move. IMO, the comments made by Reese that they had a linebacker all the time I think is a ruse. They looked into linebackers in the off season, they just had no luck. I think when Wilson failed the physical, then they made the decision because it affected the draft choice. Based on what you hear, that even though we thought that linebacker was the biggest issue, the Giants FO clearly had bigger concerns about the secondary. Now we're hearing that Webster is hurt again, so maybe that was a major influence on how they picked.
