  1. He has some points to what he's saying, I wouldn't dismiss everything and if he disputes the point I'm making I'd like to hear it out.
  2. Charles, go to the GD section, I've dedicated a topic to you. Get someone to help you get there.
  3. You hear a lot about how Shockey mouths off, but for the most part, when Shockey had his outburst last year, it was right after the game. In fact for all the talk about what a jerk Shockey is, but when he cools down he actually can be reasonable. But Tiki's comments were calculated, and that's what so disappointing about it. For a guy who generally seemed to carry himself well off the field, you hoped he'd take the high road with his comments, and he wouldn't. But that's the same with other players too. If you put LT is perspective also, he was a great player and we all rooted for him and he's a definite hall of famer. But he was a jerk, and you can't dismiss that.
  4. Nem, i read what you said about Hilliard and no offense but you are so off base with that. And this kid could very well force his way onto the field. He's a very solid wide receiver.
  5. Actually, I'd send Saha instead of Smith. I like Smith and he did well considering that injury. Saha however may end up at Lyon. I don't want Anelka, guy's a nut. If we get Berbatov or Van huntalaar, it'll have been a good summer, becuase not only do you get those guys, but they get Rossi, Evans and Pique back from loan where all 3 have done real well. Honestly I'm pumped. After watching what Milan did to us, there's no shame in losing 2-1 to them. I tell you I think United and Liverpool are the main guns next season.
  6. Whether or not Tiki "worked hard", fact is he was getting paid a lot of money to do so by the Giants. He should work hard! Secondly everyone here is entitled to their opinion and they are allowed to put things in perspective, fact is that Tiki did improve and in the last few years was for the most part our offense. However before Coughlin came in (and God knows I don't praise Coughlin for much), Tiki was been ridiculed around the league for fumbling and there were even rumors that Coughlin would get rid of Tiki because he wouldn't tolerate it. Instead Coughlin helped change his style and suddenly there are no fumbles and there is 2 pro bowls. Truth is nobody benefitted more these last few years than Tiki. On this team his star shone more than ever. Then simply put, it went to his head. You see All Star, you talk about working hard, which is fine, he may have, but then there' working smart, and Coughlin helped Tiki change that. Before Coughlin (BC), Tiki would not be getting a gig on the Today Show, but with his success, he absolutely gets the gig. Instead of taking the high road, Tiki basically trashed the org, and that wasn't right. There's no way to spin it, he trashed Coughlin at a time when he simply had no reason to. It was done with little class and there's no way to defend him on this. whatever you think of Coughlin, no matter how Coughlin reacts to things (Hitler!!), he doesnt' deserve that. If you had an employee and he knew nothing and you mentored him so that he was able to move to another position and after he got there, he told everyone you sucked, you'd be very pissed off. And that's how a lot of Giants fans feel now about Tiki.
  7. Charles, you're killing me. You're addressing Me but responding to BadEGG????
  8. As my sig would suggest, I'm a Carson fan, but not blind enough to the fact that Harry Liked attention also, not to Tiki's extent, but he did like it. In fairness the last few years he has done a good job trying to bring some focus to the plight of some of his fellow retired players, which is admirable.
  9. Keep in mind when discussing Tiki and the hall of fame, you have to consider the guys who have retired in the same year, because that's the class that he'll be up against first and foremost, then you'll have the carry over, which, as the years go by, their hopes decrease rather than improve (which makes Carson's election all the more amazing). If you factor in these issues, then there's a very good chance Tiki could get in first time. Right now assuming Curtis Martin is done, unless I'm missing someone else from this year, those 2 would look to be the strongest candidates and out of the 2, Martin is the strongest. Truth be told, I don't think he should go in, his overall body of work should be considered and not the last 4 years only. Only a few years ago, Tiki was fumbling the ball all over the place.
  10. You're 3 year old daughter splits time at wideout UK, so she doesn't count. By the way man, sorry about the Champs League Final. How do you like the start United got in the transfer market. Studs, i tell ya, studs. You want Kieran Richardson??
  11. You know your place..............good!!
  12. No I meant every word of it. You guys and your sarcasm bullshit!!! Everyone knows that's not my way.
  13. 1. Vonta Leach - TEXANS 2-31. The Rest. 32. Jim Finn - Giants Being the expert I am and Money is not, I think it's fair to say, that based on this, we should have ditched Finn and signed Leach to big money. Nemesis was right after all. Tomorrow, we rank the long snappers!
  14. This is not in defense of us, but I said this last year also. This thing about the Titans being a weak team. Sure while the record coming into the game wasn't stellar, 4 of those games were without Vince Young. After the Giants game didn't the Titans win 6 more games in a row and were only stopped by the Pats on the road. Fact is, when Young took over the Titans, they were much improved. As for the Jags, Neither the Cowboys or the Giants were good enough last year to consider a game against Jacksonville a "gimme". The Jags were a middle of the pack AFC team, with the AFC being a stronger conference by far. No excuses on Detroit though, they sucked. Then again, a good team doesn't need the last drive of the game to beat the Texans at home.
  15. It is a drunken rant after all!! Mind you, it's much better than his sober rants.
  16. Here's a great line: Interestingly, many of the so-called experts are not exactly in love with the Giants right now. Now, I do not put much stock in the "experts." However, it goes to show that I am not alone in my opinion. WHAT THE FUCK????
  17. It's already a parking nightmare. With Xanadu alone it's going to be hell. When the New Stadium you're going to have to leave on Thursday and exepct to get home on Tuesday.
  18. I didn't call you a troll and just defended you. You posted some smack here last month and I responded. Now if you're going to come on calling us homers. Last I heard we're a Giants site, so if you're on here looking for support for your view, wrong place!!. I do appreciate what Tiki did for our franchise, but please explain the theory behind "non existant holes"???. Was Tiki a magician perhaps?. We don't jump on the Jacobs bandwagon, he's been here 2 years already, we know what he can do and we think he's going to be a stud. Actually with Jacobs, he may not need non - existant holes. It's a different running game with Jacobs, and some of us "homers" are actually looking forward to it. Many reasonable Giant fans know what the issues are with Eli, and most of us admit to him needing to get better. But don't you think (shot at Cowboys coming up), you should be more concerned about you're own overblown QB. How fast did you guys jump on the bandwagon of a guy who took 4 years to make it as a starter, and if Bledsoe had to play better, would still be a reserve going into this year. Romo surprised the league this last half of the season, you know well he's about to be found out. (another shot at Cowboys). As bad as our situation with Coughlin is, I'd be pretty upset with my club if the only reason that a coach was hired was in his ability to say "Yes Mr Jones". The basement in the NFC, you're welcome to it, in fact you'll be there next December.
  19. Some of you need to get over yourself. This side of the board had like 3 posts in the last couple of days. Bad Egg has been here before. You know what's he's going to write, deal with it or don't deal with it. Anyway you got to love his imagination.
  20. The Vonta Leach deal could have been the stupidest trade this Spring. But nothing could have been worse than the fact that the Texans MATCHED!!!!.. Texans are the biggest joke of a franchise in the league and that includes the Browns and the Cards. Everything was aligned for that franchise to just take off and be in the playoffs in 3 years. But hey, who needs offensive linemen for a franchise QB. Or a decent running back for that matter.
  21. You're wrong, that took 9 hours!
  22. Tiki can self promote and promote other teamates also. Tiki and Finn are good friends off the field. I'm not sure what Nem really has against Finn, except that he expects him to bulldoze the other team out of the way. Good fullbacks of the past hit the gaps and seal off linebackers etc. If You ever watch guys like Maurice Carthon, Darryl Johnston, Lorenzo Neal etc, these guys don't hit guys with force except to move them out of the way. Coaches don't want full backs ploughing into guys and then falling on the ground because if a play ever broke down, the full back is suddenly not an option. Finn is a serviceable full back and that's really all he needs to be. The Giants don't consider him an option on offense. However like Money said, we're going to a power back offense now so it will be interesting to see if Finn is as effective this year, because jacobs is more likley to power over you than hit the hole, which is what Finn helps create. A 2 tight end formation may work better.
  23. Okay dickhead, thanks for clearing that up. Don't need any of you fucking exiles from NYshithole.com coming over here putting down my people!!!
