  1. According to Mike Vrabel, we don't need a fullback this year!
  2. Tree, I agree. There seems to be an unwritten rule with Eli, you can't criticize the guy at all. Got news for everyone, some times Tiki didn't block worth a shit = Tiki is a bust.
  3. Fish, are you happy with the backups we have now?. Because I certainly am not.
  4. I agree Nas, i'm always wrong. But you're a real manly man!
  5. Peyton was 3-13 in his first season and 13-3 the next. He struggled for one year. The "slump" has nothing to do with Tiki barber being wide open in the flat and having the ball thrown at his shoes. It has nothing to throwing passes all over the place. It's not just us saying it, you hear it from guys on TV, guys who have played the game saying it. In fact, when you look back last year, what side of the ball was hurt the worst by injuries, the defense. So you would think that you would want to try and keep those guys off the field as much as possible. Yet how many times did we go 3 and out late in the season?
  6. Never mind, I get the idea now. You're into creating a niche for yourself. I'm not seeking your attention but was merely responding to your post. Interpret as you wish.
  7. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt that you were not being a troll, but you're acting like one now. I posted something a while back on this thread directed to you and for some reason, you fail to respond?
  8. You're way off base saying that I'm letting my "hatred". I don't hate him at all, and in previous posts I have said that I believe this kid his all the tools but for the most part he needs to get his head on right. I want this kid to succeed, period. I want Ernie to have been correct and I want him to get out of the shadows of Peyton. He's no different than the rest of the team, no matter what I think of them, I want them all to be successful, that includes Coughlin. There's nothing I would like better than to come back here next year and say, " Eli has become the man". I don't care if I'm proved wrong as long as we win. That's the way a supporter should be, but I am allowed to voice my opinion. You need to take a step back here and not jump to conclusions. I mean, if you think about it, you blamed the Giants performances on the failings of other Giants players and coaching, couldn't that mean that I'm saying you're hating on them??
  9. What games were you watching?. Giants had a midseason slump and Eli's second half of the season was not as good as the first. I noticed not once have you held Eli accountable for anything, but fact is, he's possibly more accountable than anybody. He's the QB, he's held on a pedestal and he makes the big bucks. There's no excuse for a QB with his tools to be making some of the throws he's been making. After 3 years he's still throwing to running backs out of the backfield at their feet. Think about this also, for all the shit that Plax and Shockey take, fact is they are 2 big guys, they are 2 big targets with decent hands, fact is Toomer is one of the best route runners out there, and yet Eli was throwing behind them, over their heads. This crap about guys not showing for camp has nothing to do with the fact that Eli is often way too complacent and inaccurate with his throws. He needs to work on this, and if he does, we'll be good for 2-3 wins a season. That alone makes us a better team.
  10. I don't think Leonard going to be a full back in this league Charles, I think he was drafted that early to be a regular running back,
  11. King's article states signing Culpepper to a contract structured so that most of his money comes as a signing bonus and roster bonus. When you consider the options, and like I said I recognize that he's been hurt a lot, it's not a bad idea. If Eli goes down the first game of the season, no-one should be comfortable with the idea of Anthony Wright or Jared Lorenzen coming off the bench. Culpepper may not have lived up to the hype, but he's streets ahead of those guys. Even if the Giants don't get Culpepper, they need a more reliable backup QB.
  12. I don't know why Nas, I'd have some serious concerns about a guy that weight having to move our team downfield on a long drive. In all fairness I think it's ridiculous for a guy to be coming to camp that size. I've seen pictures of Lorenzen, and while some of his weight can be attributed to maybe being big boned, the majority of it is fat. He could lose the fat.
  13. Seriously Bad Egg, have you guys ever considered the notion that Romo only made the field because Bledsoe was struggling. I mean come on, you guys have christened him the second coming to a guy who was 4 years on your roster before he got to start. For all the hype about Eli, the minute someone plays well at QB down there, you guys are having orgasms. He's nothing special, and while some of us up here are realistic about Eli, Dallas fans can't really say the same thing. I think you've got a little "Bobby Hoying" complex right now, so please be prepared, you're QB ain't all that.
  14. Any realistic Giant fan right now, should not be at all happy with our backup QB situation. Anthony Wright should be playing Arena Football, Tim Hasselbach is done, except for he could probably be a decent tutor to Eli and Lorenzen IMO is not a solid QB and anybody who does come to camp at 270 -80 as a QB!, has some serious motivational issues. Culpepper is not ideal, but waht King is suggesting isn't all that bad. If nothing else, it may motivate Eli some more, and that folks is something that has to happen because Eli is way too comfortable with the situation he has right now. Culpepper is way better than what we have at backup right now........way better.
  15. I think his name is Roster piller.
  16. Steve Smith could be a replacement for Plaxico. I think this is Plaxico's last year as a Giant. Next years starting wideouts could be Moss and Smith.
  17. Special hint for the slow Austrailians on the board: Rythmes with "oohyah"
  18. Just for that Nas I'm revamping my list, this will teach you: 1) Vonta Leach of the amazing Houston Texans 2-31) rest of NFL full backs. 32) VG 33) UK Giants dog Butch 34 - Lucy Pinder (Full Rack/Full Back, same difference) 35 - 1,625,978) Every kid who plays full back in the college/high school/pop warner ranks 1,625,979) JIM FINN 1, 625,980) Nas's momma 1625981) Prince Nas.
  19. Mike Sherrard was a deep threat? Oh, Like I was!
  20. I can't see the Giants taking him back now. Giants already picked up some DT depth in free agency.
  21. Crazy thing is, that even though I kinda bashed Tiki, guess who shook hands with him on 74th and Broadway last Saturday and had a couple of words with him, 2 of those words being "thanks Man".
  22. If you are talking about Shaun Williams, then you cannot be serious. Who loved Shaun Williams?
