  1. Well at least one of the flaws is in New Orleans now fucking up their secondary, right Nem??
  2. I'm calling Tom a big "pussy". Should I just cut out the middleman and call Hanlon now. I actually have the phone numbers for some guys in the FO.
  3. I agree, the government needs to bring it back.
  4. Basement 24/7.com. Home of the one poster and his 500 clones.
  5. You were in Holland. Good for you. No crowd trouble I hope, Holland crowds can be total fuckwits. I was glad we got the goal, but Roma took the foot off the gas. Scholes had a fucking brain freeze, his tackling was fucking awful. Giggs was brutal also. Thank God for Ronaldo. He's got to be player of the year this year. By the way, is Crouch on steroids, who placed the rocket up his ass, 4 goals in 2 games!!
  6. Timmerman would be a nice solid signing for us. Which is why he'll be playing for the Bills next week.
  7. Saints give up a 6th rounder for a guy who was going to be released. Not a great move IMO.
  8. Wow!!! I guess I deserved that. There have been a lot of guys drafted because of their speed that sucked at Linebacker.
  9. I want football players as my linebackers, not sprinters!
  10. Oh yes, and in case your wondering, when Boohyah watches football, receivers cover receivers!
  11. Yes Midas, but the fact is that if you do not have faith in your coach, you shouldn't keep him, and you should make a strong enough push to get your own guy in house. I'm saying that despite the fact that he's the GM, I don't believe Reese is sitting there going "one more year and he's gone". IMO the Giants have said, if he can do it once (11-5), he can do it again and let's tweak the coaching staff, which was the easiest thing to do. I firmly believe that they want him to succeed, they like Coughlin, have always liked him and they don't want to look silly. Reese is on board with that as far as I'm concerned, Reese was on board when they hired him. Fact is, if he does a slighty better job coaching and the players play to their potential (mainly Eli), this team should be 10-6/11-5 at least. The talent is there. By the way, I think Reese has done fine job this off season, not great but a decent job. None of these guys we missed out were worth the money they got, and signing a starting linebacker for virtually nothing and getting a backup running back for a scrub wideout were pretty good moves. Plus the O'hara deal will pay off.
  12. I think you gotta give Webster another year to see if he improves. We gave Shaun Williams 4 years!. We had Omar here for 3 years and he had been released by the fucking awful Jets. And how long did we wait out the potential of the Wills??? I'm not going to say he will become a good corner, because the first signs are not that good, but he deserves some more time than we're giving him right now.
  13. If Jerry Reese wanted Coughlin gone this year, he could force the Giants org, to buy him out, since they are not spending the money on players anyway. It's just a contract, it can be reversed if the dollars are right. Plus, I don't get how people keep saying we're not trying to put a team together and we are saving our money for next year. That's silly to be honest. First off there are players on this team who just can't waste a year, Strahan, Toomer, Feagles for example. Secondly, regarding next years free agency class, do we have first dibs on these players or something that we are just going to buy a bunch of free agents and everything will be fine. Does anybody think about the possibility that maybe they won't come here??. Furthermore, when you think about it, the Giants have been quiet in free agency but they have tried to make almost as many moves this year as last year, they just haven't worked out. Mc Gahee, Al wilson, Vonta Leach, we reached out to Leonard Davis, Dominic Rhodes, Cato June. There was an effort made here. Giants simply think that regardless how we feel about Tom, (i said he should have left also), he deserves another chance based on his 11-5 record from 2005. And Reese as a first time GM has to respect that.
  14. carucci kirwan dukes might be interesting reading.
  15. He's done enough talking and defending himself. Do your fucking job, that's all!. The result speaks for itself, you did a bad job last year, do a better job this year.
  16. Ice, in Webster's case, it has little to do with Lewis, he didn't play well. Regardless of coverage scheme, he didn't play any scheme well. But your right, it was pretty obvious this season that Tim Lewis's head was up his ass. That's why last year when all the bleating was going on about him leaving to be a head coach I said it was a bad idea and that the talent on the field covered up his shortcomings. He blitzed when he shouldn't have, he didn't blitz when he should have. He had the receivers play off the wide receivers but you only do that when you can get good pressure on the QB, something we didn't do "all year long".
  17. OUR COACH ....THE NAZI Tom, I gave you some credit last month on how you handled Tiki, then you go whining again. You're getting paid Millions for this season for doing your job. You could have been fired. Now shut up and stop playing golf and do your job. I'd kill to be in your position.
  18. Corey Webster didn't play well last year, not because of schemes, but becuase he didn't play well. I put that down to inexperience more than anything and I'm willing to give him a chance this year to improve. But using the "last coach" excuse is based on the defense as a whole and not playing the right schemes (for example, a team that barely blitzed, or used the wrong blitz package. Blitzing a team on you're own 5 yard line!!!). There were a lot of guys on defense who underperfomed because they couldn't do the basics correctly, for example, Will Demps completely missing tackles behind the scrimmage. God help Carolina, he's their secondary coach!!!. Is Fox on acid???
  19. Yep, got no problem with this, good move.
  20. I don't know about Brooks, he didn't do so badly, we had a pretty bad team those few years he was here. Carlton Bailey, yep he blew. Neither one had anything on Mike Croel though.
  21. After watching how the Chiefs used to tackle, I wouldn't sign any defensive players from them.
  22. If you can get Takeo Spikes for a 4th/5th rounder, I think he's well worth it. I'd do the deal in a heartbeat. I know he's had injuries but again, apart from Pierce, who's better than him on the Giants right now. Again I reiterate about Blackburn, either he's a backup here in New York, or a starter elsewhere, he should not be starting here.
  23. That never stopped us signing Lavar, who had a history of injuries before he signed him and lo and behold........... I think there's more to this, maybe he was seen eating at Wendys with Pac Man Jones.........who knows???
