  1. VERY FAIR. The team feels "well we can't win the big one, let's lead the league in ticket prices." It's a really shitty move for season ticket holders.
  2. When Tiki is on the Today show, Jim Finn will be his lead in.
  3. You're entitled to your opinion..............as long as it's the same as mine
  4. The Eagles overpaying on a wideout. Let's see they let Stallworth go for virtually the same money. I'd have to say that I'd be more worried about Stallworth over Curtis if I was a def co-ord. I'm kinds glad the Giants aren't shelling out this much money, these deals make so little sense.
  5. Much to my dismay, I heard that the Giants would be interested in DT Okoye if he falls that far.
  6. It makes you wonder what games the Vikes scouts were watching doens't it. I mean we didn't run 2 tight end sets much last year, instead we ran an offensive lineman in as an eligible receiver every 3rd down.
  7. I will say what I will. You're willing to give Walker the benefit of the doubt that he's a good player after 4 years being the last option at corner, but you're not willing to give Webster a chance at corner after just 2 years, one starting. That doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm not sure how he makes Demps look like an idiot. Demps has been a starter in this league for years.
  8. Yeah that fucker is stup...............wait!!!
  9. Getting Droughans for Carter is as good as getting a free agent. Signing O'hara was a good thing.
  10. The packers secondary is either now the greatest in the NFL...........or the dumbest.
  11. Eli throws a great deep ball. sometimes his timing and accuract are slightly off, but with a guy like Plax, you have a good chance of catching it.
  12. Frank Walker is your newest member of the Green Bay Packers.
  13. Couldn't agree more. I love smashmouth football, but if the defense knows what's coming they react and like you said, they knew Tiki was coming so they stacked the line. It just goes to show you how good of a runner Tiki was because he made something out of nothing a lot of times. Jacobs will not read the blocks as well, so he will depend more on his strength. Truth is a lot of the stronger players in this league get hurt the most and we've seen that happen to Jacobs already where he's gotten nicked up. It makes Droughans ability all the more important to us. The idea is to keep the defense honest, and Coughlin and Hufnagel seemed to have no clue how to do that. With guys like Moss and carter, did anyone ever think of an end around??. We haven't used play action since Collins and Fassel, (collins was actually very good at it), and we have a team right now that is more suited to play action because we had the perfect foil for it in Tiki. Even in goaline situation, this team are trying to bust our running backs up the middle 3-4 times, without any variation. whatever happened to faking the handoff and having the running back launch himself into the pile and then have the tight end or wide out peel off the line for the throw. I don't remember us doing that once last year. It seems pretty basic but effective, and truth is we had the perfect group on offesnse to pull this off, however that seems to be the sort of thing that goes way over Coughlin's head.
  14. I can't see us throwing a season for that reason. Even if we have a winning season, Reese can still fire Coughlin.
  15. They should re sign Short, that would be a smart move. June is not the answer, but I could see the Giants taking him. Missing 2 linebackers, hopefully one gets filled in the first round, but we need another. Chase Blackburn Gerris Wilkerson Reggie Torbor Not sure you could sleep well with any of these 3 as starters right now.
  16. Nem, seriously take a breath here. I've read this and the next one, I never said speed wasn't vital for a corner, but coverage skills are and he doesn't have them. Having good hands is a plus but his job was not to spend the entire game looking to catch the ball. One game with Chad Johnson?? C'mon? The play he messed up on Nem, was one where the guy was out of bounds and then he hit him, so no, he could not have turned up the field and ran, and he cost us a vital stop. It was a huge blunder!! The point I was making on the draft was that EA liked projects. Walker was a project. He was left on the squad last year because the team wanted to give him one last year to prove them right. It's not the first time they did it. Ron Dixon and Tim Carter are other examples. They were constantly looking for the next Armstead/ Sehorn. He sucks Nem, he simply sucks and he's zero loss. But the good thing is with all his speed he'll be very fast leaving Giants Stadium.
  17. Where did he leave off???? Walker is no further in the dog house than the likes of Shockey and Burress and Jacobs, don't get hung up on that idea. And what you failed to mention Nem is that while he may be fast and he may have good hands, that would make him ideal for a wide receiver, not a corner. He can't cover worth a damn Nem, and when does get playing time out there he's done some bonehead things. As was noted earlier, against the Titans, everyone gets on Kiwi but Walker's mistakes was worse. I won't miss him at all, addition by subtraction. One of EA's biggest problems was that he drafted a lot of guys because of potential, Ron Dixon is a prime example, how many years did we sit waiting for Carter's potential. Because he drafted them, EA liked to keep them around way past the expiration date. Reese can't afford that anymore and I think you'll see that in the future, It's time to draft football players.
  18. Nem, I am now officially worried about you. First FRIENDS, and now you use the words Frank Walker and Talent in the same sentence without the word no in the sentence. Seriously Nem, you cannot be serious here???
  19. I'm still trying to figure out what it is that Frank Walker had that Curtis Deloatch didn't. By the way, one of the reasons the Saints need more depth......wait for it.................they released Deloatch!.
  20. NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints met with a third free-agent cornerback this week as Frank Walker visited New Orleans on Friday. Walker has played four years in the NFL, all with the New York Giants. Walker arrived in New York the year after Saints coach Sean Payton left for Dallas to work as an offensive assistant under former Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells. Although Dallas plays New York twice a season, Walker missed several of those games while Payton was in Dallas, and Walker did not play against New Orleans last season. Listed at 5-foot-10, 197 pounds, Walker has played in 41 games during the past four seasons. He has five career interceptions. He made highlight reels last season for drilling Tennessee’s Vince Young on a sack in a game the Giants ultimately lost after blowing a second-half lead. Although the Saints will have both 2006 starting cornerbacks, Mike McKenzie and Fred Thomas, returning for 2007, they are looking for more depth at that position. Earlier in the week, New Orleans hosted free agent cornerbacks William James and Roderick Hood, both of whom played for Philadelphia last season.
  21. Droghans Droughans had a big season a few years back in Denver, he then signed with the Browns and he's shown flashes. He's also had trouble with the law. I think it's not a bad deal really. Carter was a waste overall.
  22. Deon Grant................now a Seahawk.
