  1. Guys we are talking about 2008 right? Keep in mind you must add Derrick Ward and Bradshaw to the mix. I see Jacobs with about 900 yards.
  2. Couldn't agree more Nes, but I am starting to think that we could actually trade Shockey for something big a first rounder or at least a 2nd round pick.
  3. Hey Joe good to see you on the board. I agree but I will add both our lines have to do really well. Then I really believe we have a shot. I know one thing as I have gotten older the cold weather bothers me more. Hopefully that will be the case for Favre this Sunday.
  4. Exactly Rick. We have had such a dreadful hitory with bringing in savior pitchers only to have them get hurt, or worse unable to handle the NY media circus. Highes & kennedy will both be #1 & #2 studs in a few years if they stay healthy oh wait Joba is gonna be a starter. So that gives us Pettite, Wang, Mussina, Joba, Hughes & kennedy. I might move Moose to the pen.
  5. Tree, I am no fan of Gilbride's but with Burress playing mostly on one leg, Moss who has been a bust and Smith getting splinters in his butt on IR we simply don't have the receivers we need. When Plax could stretch the field he & Eli were a formidable duo. Let's see Smith & Plax both healthy & then we can judge. I think Coughlin has done an outstanding job of changing enough so that his players don't hate him.
  6. Nem, I thought the same thing and then I recalled how unlucky we have been going after starters. Just look at all the disasters we have had the past several years. None of those guys are playing for us and one of them Pavano will go down as one of the worst deals ever. Some guys just can't play here.
  7. I think with the Yank's history with starters I pass on Santana if I have to give up Hughes, Kennedy & Cabrera. Just look back over the past number of years & who has been brought in. Who is still here? We have had miserable luck with bringing in starters.
  8. He had 3 drops yesterday and looked very pedestrian out there regardless of the coverage. I say rest him for the playoffs or sooner if he gets better. Can't Moss go long? He's supposed to be super fast. Or why not play Boss along with Shockey - let Shock go deep.
  9. play for the National Title. Good grief. Well at least OSU got beat. There is a God.
  10. I for one was not upset that we took Eli. I was upset that we could have traded down picked up extra players and still gotten Big Ben.
  11. The kid CAN throw the ball but he CAN'T make stupid mistakes in our biggest game. Those were Rookie mistakes not a 4 year pro who's been playing all his life.
  12. Wait a minute Charlie Weis who has the losingest record at ND with his players?
  13. Congrats McKeef only 22 more to catch up.
  14. If we continue to play up to our capabilities, then really who is better? Dallas? Green Bay? I believe we can win the NFC but the AFC is sooooo much better.
  15. Dragon, word is he wants 300 million for 10 years. Assuming any team will do that or could do that, I believe the Yankees are still his best fit. The $ will be there (maybe 28 million a year) - we'll see.
  16. Lube, I love ya man but the Patriots don't have any superstars? Ever hear of Tom Brady? He may be the best ever. But that interception wasn't that good. The ball was slightly underthrown & Amani couldn't turn to go back for it.
  17. Didn't Girardi win Manager of the Year coaching the Marlins? I believe he and the owner got into a squabble and he was gone.
  18. Clarence, get a dish. I have DirecTV in the Poconos get all the Yankee games on Yes. Pay a premium like I did in Indiana and watch all the NFL Games all day long
  19. C'mon guys the man is a future HOFamer - He shouldn't be the only one taking the hit for this.
  20. What a joke. There were guys saying that Reyes is a better player than Jeter. I don't know & couldn't care less who they are but I trust youo see the fallacy of your thinking eh? He wound up batting .280 for the year I believe he is a career .284 hitter. So other than base stealing what else can he do better than Jeter? I believe he batted .156 the last 7 games. Now that is clutch.
  21. Ditto & I thought he looked uncomfortable too last night. I don't know why?
  22. Dude, who would that be? They were talking Wright in NY but I don't think so.
  23. Geez, guess what happened? Giants crushed the Egirls big time.
  24. Most of you know I am a Yankee Fan first but I always root for the NY teams and unfortunately that is a very loud choking sound I am hearing from Shea. Tied for 1st place unreal. And many of you wrote off the Yankees.
  25. Boo I love ya man but Eli did a fine job with the exception of that 1 throw. There were 5 dropped passes in the 1st half. Yikes!!! We came back settled down & played like we're capable off playing.
