  1. So between Hixon, Smith, Manningham, Moss, Tyree, Barden, and Nicks, Here's how I see it panning out: WR - Hixon ...cuz he can get open deep, and I feel he'll be really good if he can get rid of the dropsies. Flanker - Smith... he's a smaller Amani Toomer, but again, drops a few now and then... like in the Super Bowl. But he just seems to have that feel for where the sticks are, and gets you the 11 you need on third-and-10. Slot Receiver - I'm going with Nicks. I'm REALLY high on him and think eventually he'll settle into an Anquan Bolden/Michael Irvin type role. Yeah, I wanted Britt at first too, but upon further review, Nicks catches EVERYTHING thrown his way, seems to be a bit more physical, and I'll bet ends up as less of a head case than Britt will be. 4th receiver - Gonna go Dark Horse here and say... Moss. Yep, THAT Moss... not the one in New England. Why Sinorice? Well, he's in a contract year first of all, he's had trouble breaking the starting lineup behind Amani, Plax and co, and with a rookie year cut short by injuries, he's technically in that "magical third year" where receivers are supposed to hit their stride. Also, he's the only guy on the roster that has both breakaway speed and Barry Sanders/Dave Meggett style moves. I think he shocks the world this year and puts together a pretty good season. I think Barden comes in for fade routes (his specialty, apparently) and Manningham continues to develop... also, we're prolly gonna pick up a vet to teach the younger guys (maybe Harrison?) and get rid of Tyree, unfortunately. In any event, it'll be interesting to see who steps up this season. Go Blue!
  2. Maybe I'm just smoking dust but... I see a one-dimensional pass-rusher who is bad in space and doesn't change directions very well. Please tell me I'm wrong.
  3. Jeez, it was a joke, guys... ALL he runs in that vid are fade routes. :brooding:
  4. Yeah, Daily News! I've been at a diabetic camp with my niece all weekend and my parents, so my dad and I have been salivating to find out all about the Giants draft picks... so we stop at a store in Mass and pick up the Daily News! "Draft Coverage Starts on page 58!" it boasts! Well... page 58 had a full page story on the Jets drafting Sanchez! AND it went onto page 59! Then the bottom of page 59 had a half-page story about... Steve Spagnuolo's draft with the St. Louis Rams! (I fucking shit you not) Apparently, the Giants... excuse me, I meant to say the NEW YORK GIANTS.... didn't even have a draft! "New York's Hometown Paper" had two stories on the Jets, and ONE ON THE FUCKING ST. LOUIS RAMS.... and ZERO stories on the NEW YORK FUCKING FOOTBALL GIANTS. I will never buy that paper again... unless I REALLY need to wipe my ass.
  5. That video is cool, but the question remains: "Can he run a fade route?"
  6. Bingo. Argue that his brother sucked in NY too till he had a change of scenery.
  7. I"d go for Derek Brown. Never had ONE play in his entire career. Not one.
  8. I might actually do a second and Kiwi for this one. NOT for Edwards.
  9. Actually, I'm not too afraid of a guy named "Stacy." I haven't seen a lot of Bills games, but I heard that Peters showed up fat and outta shape after his Pro Bowl year, played like shit, and still wanted a huge deal. I'm not afraid of that guy at all with the horses we're running.
  10. We lose two... we MIGHT get one... then we're "full" at reciever?
  11. Id actually prefer Boldin over Edwards. Boldin is grittier and more physical, and IMHO would fit our team's offensive philosophy (pound the ball) better than Edwards, and has WAY better hands (not even close). Edwards is a better deep threat and taller, but could quickly wear out his welcome with the New York Media and fans after a few key drops. I hate butter-fingered receivers. I'd take Boldin.
  12. NO WAY would I make that deal. Edwards plays like a 2nd round pick right now with all his drops... Hixon is only in his 2nd year and really could be something, and right now we're saying that's essentially Hixon, Terrell Thomas, Manningham, and Goff. No thanks.
  13. The interview itself was almost two weeks ago... but the report came out yesterday... unless Winslow was interviewed twice by Sirius and said the same thing twice. It's just weird that they're getting to it so late (again, unless it's a second interview). For the right price I wouldn't mind seeing Edwards in blue.
  14. Dude, this story is like 3 weeks old. PFW is JUST getting to it?
  15. For a backup, he's pretty good. Was it really only two offseasons ago that we were talking about how badly the Giants needed help in the defensive backfield?
  16. It's true. And to cover the cost of this, he's required all season ticket holders to purchase "PHDL" (Personal Hot Dog Licences) to have the right to buy hot dogs at the stadium. It's a fair deal, though... a PHDL is only 3,000 dollars, and after all, multimillionaires have to find SOME way to finance their new stadium, right? Plus, it's a good investment, because you can buy a hot dog and then sell the hot dog sometime down the road for MORE money!
  17. I can't blame the Eagles for wanting Plax... he just fucking killed them every year since he's been here. I have a feeling though if he stays in the east, Kenny Phillips is going to just absolutely fucking kill him this year. Just a weird gut feeling... I know I have nothing to go on with that, really. And that's if he's able to get open with Webby draped all over him.
  18. Jesus those Pro Bowl jersies are ugly as shit. Looks like a goddamned smurf threw up on 'em.
  19. They changed their name to something else, but I forget what it is.
  20. To quote the man himself... Plaxico Burress: "Get that shit outta here!"
  21. ...well, probably not now that YOU said it. :brooding:
  22. We always get the Jets, Pats, and Carolina. The other game alternates between Cleveland (to keep up the old rivalry) and Baltimore (who's old owner, Art Modell, used to be very good friends with Wellington Mara).
