  1. Microfracture surgery sucks. That's what deraile Jason Sehorn's career.
  2. Well, historically speaking... that IS a season-ending injury for a Giants rookie. :glare:
  3. Wow... that guy just gave the Giants a "Brett Favre nut-hug!"
  4. I really like this. Getting rid of the prima donnas and replacing them with a group of young, workmanlike guys is going to pay off in the long run, IMHO. Also, let's not forget that at Ole Miss, Eli was famous for taking a group of "no name" receivers and putting up big numbers with them. He was the "guy who makes everyone around him better."
  5. Yeah, Pierce does get some cheap shots in. I noticed that when he's tackling someone from behind, he tries to land on their legs a'la "horse collar" style to injure the runner.
  6. With Shockey and Plax gone, there really isn't any Giant who I dislike. I love the "team first" mentality we have now.
  7. ...turns out he's a beautiful, beautiful girl from the north.
  8. More good reads. Thanks man!
  9. ...so by "controversial," what you really mean to say is "bad."
  10. That arti-cle had weird hyphens.
  11. I heard something great on The Audible podcast today. Somebody wrote in and asked, "Ramses Barden and Marques Colston both came from small schools. Could Barden have a 'Colston-like' effect in the Giants offense in his rookie year?" The answer? "Ramses Barden could have a BIGGER impact, because he's bigger with more speed." I shit you not.
  12. You know, I was thinking the exact same thing. I know it was only two catches, but that kid looks VERY fluid and looks to have pretty good acceleration.
  13. Oh yeah, I'm all for new wrinkles in the offense... but honestly... I'm just not a fan of taking out a QB and direct snapping the ball to a back, who's more likely to throw an INT than a TD. If you have a Kordell Stewart or Michael Vick and can pull off those kinds of formations, then you can make it work... but I think now that there's a year of film to study, you're going to see the demise of the Wildcat pretty quickly... at least the "slash" style of wildcat, I'd bet. I love the idea that we're getting an H-back. We haven't had one since the days of Aaron Pierce... who always seemed to flash brilliance right before a big mistake, lol. But they can definitely be a versatile player... I remember seeing Pierce run the ball on a sweep down by the goal line in the Dan Reeves days... but sometimes they'd split him out wide, use him as a lead blocker, or keep him in close to the line to block. THAT kind of versatility is cool... but let the QB stick to throwing the bulk of the passes. And I've been pounding the "power back" drum for a good five years now, too. As defenses get smaller and quicker, you beat them not with speed... but by hitting them in the mouth. And then hit them in the mouth again... and then for variety, hit them in the mouth again. :deadhorse: Then once they're down, unleash the Ahmad Bradshaws and Sinorice Mosses on 'em.
  14. The wildcat sucks. This year you're going to see it go downhill fast.
  15. The guy has been in the league for years, and we pretty much already know what we're getting. If he uses his brain, like he did during the Super Bowl run, we'll be fine. If he tries to get too cute with the offense, like he did in the playoff game last year, we're in some trouble.
  16. It used to be that the Post was a Jets paper, and the News was a Giants paper. Looks like one is a Jets paper now and the other one... is a Jets paper. Well, you'd think they'd cover the Giants' draft instead of... the fucking RAMS, for starters. Hell, maybe even go nuts and cover the rookie minicamp.
  17. They're New York's Hometown Paper. Fuck that rag.
  18. C'mon boo! You know that was awesome!
  19. Holy shit... the new house I'm buying has FOUR bedrooms... and I have no wife! I might rip off your idea and make me a Giants room of my own, Jim!
  20. Wow that's awesome! The only thing I woulda done tho is keep the crucifix from the original room and sculpt Lawrence Taylor's face into it!
  21. Historically, secondary coaches haven't fared well with the Giants in DC positions (Tim Lewis, Johnnie Lynn). But if I'm not mistaken, that Rams team ended up 3rd in overall D that year.
  22. Opening day will look like this: Hixon Smith Nicks Moss Barden/Manningham
