ha..but at least Zito was good when he was younger..though he has had plenty of years of suckage..at the time the giants signed him to what has turned out to be an albatross, he was a very good and successful young pitcher who was a cy young winner. He had many good seasons in Oakland, not just one fluke seasn at an old age. I dont think many people saw his implosion coming so hard and fast...especially going from the AL to the NL and his age. Barry Zito career has been an enigma.

I agree with that..but he isnt going to be the ace that people have seemed to crown him based on a fluke season at age 36. A 4+ ERA is league average or worse(depending on it being the high or low 4's). And that isnt an ace by any means. he is a back of the rotation starter, nothing more. And those type of guys dont cost a top prospect and 15-20 mil per year. You can call up a mediocre pitching prospect and get the same results for a penny on the dollar. It was a phenomenal deal for the mets. they really cashed in on the fluke year by Suck My Dickey...and Alex anthopoulos got taken hook, line and sinker.

1.Dickey isnt that good. Last year was phenomenal, I think Alex Anthropolous is the only person that thought he could repeat it. 2. The AL is much tougher to pitch in 3. The Mets home park is an extreme pitchers park 4. The SkyDome is a hitters haven

Brennan boesch was arguably the worst player in baseball last year. He has about 6 decent months in his entire career. He sucks. Francisco is a 5th outfielder at best. But the Yankees have no depth so that what happens when you have a horrible, questionable offseason and then guy get hurt in spring training. You wind up with the likes of these 2 bums in the 25 man

Yeah dickey has had one good year and one great year... In his entire career... In the senior circuit... Which sucks. 7-8-9 are automatic outs in the nl. Not to mention dickey had that success in an extreme pitchers park. Guys hit check swing home runs in the skydome. Not to mention the other 60 games the ur jays will play in great hitters parks like Yankees stadium, Camden yards and Fenway. 4.25 era for the dickster is wishful thinking

Ill give you the Rays, but the Jays rotation is not better than the Yankees. There isnt a man in baseball that will take RA Dickey over CC Sabathia..not one..ever. Id argue that Dickey isnt as good as Kuroda or Pettitte. One great season at 36 years old doesnt make him a world beater, Dickey is the most overated player in the game. His ERA should be at least a run, proably a rin and a half higher than last years. Buhrle is not the same pitcher he was with the white sox, he is a decent 4 Morrow has great stuff, but has never put it all together..you talk about his ERA last year..but not his innings pitched...which was about 120.which sucks..badly. Josh Johnson was a great pitcher...who knows what he is now. Youre highly overrating the Jays pitching staff. Lots of question makrs in that rotation.
