  1. I strongly disagree. Eli plays with heart and gives 100% everytime. What QB doesn't have bad games? In another thread there was a comparison between Eli and Peyton in their first 3 years in the NFL and Eli was slighly ahead. Tiki is a self-promoting ungrateful bobble-head.. It is what it is.
  2. I've always stood by Eli. The guy hardly talks and he sure was due a mini explosion to put Tiki in his place.
  3. Actually if you look at the fumblitus and the arrogance of one and work ethic of the other, I say Hamp was a better .... everything. Fuck Tiki.
  4. I highly doubt Strahan is going to hold out. For one, he's bound by a contract he signed and I still recall how tough those negotiations were as he was paid most of the money in the earlier years of his contract.... and secondly... if he doesn't show up, he doesn't get paid... I know Strahan went thru a lot with his divorce case but a man's finances is his personal business.. and responsibility.

    I'm back!

    Welcome back, dude.
  6. Eli doesn't need to sweat. He has great work ethic and doesn't need a fire under his ass. He needs better protection, better recievers, and more than anything a D that can stop people.
  7. No. JLoad is better than Culpepper.
  8. Exactly. And no BadEgg.. I think Shockey and Burress better watch out with their antics. It's Eli's team.. they're the ones who are expendable...
  9. If that's your mission, then it's a failure. I find your posts very interesting actually. You don't fit the profile of a troll at all.
  10. From what I know his father was a very good QB whose team sucked major balls... I don't think you measure a QB by how many SBs he wins (Dan Marino). So yeah that would be an accomplishment.
  11. I've been a loyal fan of Eli since Day 1 and I won't jump ship... ever. I know it takes a team to win anything. The QB position is my least worry ... this has been the case since we got the kid.
  12. The dog would have to agree that hindsight is 20/20. And while I have no regrets over getting Manning as I think he's been superb for us... he just hasn't lived up to the immense expectations some people have of him. We can argue that we have a very solid QB in place and now we can focus on other holes. And we can argue that simply having a first round pick doesn't guarantee you a superstar like Merriman as evidenced by our Willie Joe, Will Allen, and many other first round busts/averages. And we can argue that you can land some very good players in later rounds as we did with Michael Strahan and the ever so classy Amani Toomer (I don't know what rounds they were picked in but I don't believe either was a first round pick... neither was Tiki for that matter).
  13. It maybe true that you don't need a "franchise QB" to win a SB but you do need a franchise QB to have a winning franchise. Winning the SB can be an aberation for a QB such as the case with Dilfer and a few others.. and almost every time these teams had defenses on steroids. Quite frankly, we got tired of watching Kennel, Graham, and Dave Brown (with his behind the back no look passes to the wrong ream)... We NEEDED a shot in the arm offensively.. and the QB position was our weakest point. No one uttered the name Rivers during the 2004 draft.. all we heard was Robert Gallery, Rothlisberger, and Manning... And in 2005, there was no telling we were going to get Marriman... and that Kicker SD got choked som many times. With Eli, we've had far more excitement on offense than we ever did. The Giants ARE capable of scoring.. when was the last time we had that attitide pre-manning? If we don't win Superbowls it's not because of our QB not playing well.. because he is playing very well... it's because our Defense couldn't stop anyone. In essence the "How many years do you give a QB?" question can not be substantiated... it should be "How many years do you give a team?"

    help me

Actually what he did was very bad. He's a professional and should conduct himself accordingly. If you don't like your job, quit. Don't throw your coaches and teammates under the bus. Tiki was a good athlete and his best years were under Coughlin.. let's not forget that. I don't even know why we're still talking about the asshole.
  15. Even if we didn't get anyone to replace him. Just leave his spot empty and we're instantly better.
  16. Yes and partly because now we have a 3 hour concert at half time with music that sucks with wardrobe malfunction.
  17. I still think he brings up good points... with a zesty cup is empty approach..
  18. Oh come on, Chuck. You're assuming we would've got Rivers and a year later we would've landed Mariman... And given our coaching Staff Mariman would've been on the bench anyway. Our problem has not be the QB, it had been the D.
  19. I'm challeging the merit of the question. I think Eli has been good for us.. he just hasn't lived to the immense expectations we have of him. If we were to surround him by a dedicated supporting cast, then yea..
  20. That's a very interesting psychoanalysis. And I tend to agree with it.
  21. He's only bad for the money he's making and being our #1 receiver. The expectations are higher and rightfully so. And trust when a player goes down when the defender touches his towel, it doesn't speak well for that player.
  22. Can giants fans go see mini-camp? I thought it was closed to the public.
