  1. I don't know about you guys but I like badegg. I think he brings the pessimistic side which is needed in any realistic approach. Besides, the guy isn't just talking out of his ass. He does bring valid points even though they have that "wrost case scenario" feel to them. Btw, my best friend is a cowboy's fan and I emaild that geico pic with Romo (Thanks to whoever posted it.. I believe Golfingkid)... he couldn't help but laugh.
  2. Isn't that the case for 30 other teams?
  3. No need to panic, I'm sure they'll find someone by the end of this month.. especially now that Houston has 20 FBs on their roster. What I'm wondering is why wait till June to get surgery? But I'm sure that's why the organization was looking to replace the guy.. can't say they didn't try.
  4. Egg, Coughlin made a good point though: "Let your playing do the talking". It's a smiple concept really and while I agree they're all grown ups and Coughlin didn't need to remind them, we must remember that we all need to be reminded of certain things. Last season our team had way too much distractions.. we were like the Eagle's with the owens drama and egoes grew big... Honestly, I don't respect players who yap to the Media and as a player you should let your playing do the talking.
  5. Not true at all. The basics of football is you run the ball down the opponent's throat till they stop the run. We used to pass the ball simply because Huf thought the oppenent would be caught off guard. Having weapons on the offense keeps the defense honest which means you can run the ball even more successfully. And neither Blue or myself disupted that Eli should and will get better. We all want the Giants to win and I do believe the Giants will win the division.
  6. The cup is half empty, Boohyah. I'm sure by counting the misses and discounting the hits, you'd make Eli (or any QB for that matter) look horrible. No one is disputing Eli's slump or some of Eli's erratic throws but you can also look at the throws where his receivers stopped running or dropped also... every QB has those. Eli is the victim of bad coaching. I don't recall the last time a Giants QB had to throw as much.. there were times last season where we all screamed the the television for the play calling to run the fucking ball.. Eli hasn't lived up to the HUGE expectations everyone has of him but he's better than an average QB.. certainly better than any QB we've had since simms...so what gives? Is this a team sport or an individual show? as far as 2006 is concerned, offense wasn't the problem.. defense was. When it comes to Eli, a few tweeks (similiar to that Tiki had when he was told to hold the ball differently) can do wonders... and now with a better defense (hopefully) than 2006, I'm sure we can win a few more games. And suddenly the cup is half full.
  7. I get that too... a lot.. especially in the Bronx. Everyone says "Oh you don't look Arabic at all.. you look Spanish"... well ok that's becuase Arabs don't look a certain way.. we have white, black and everything in between... What ticks me off about Cablevision is they have a fucking Korean channel, a ton of Spanish channels... they even have a fucking polish channel... yet not one Arabic channel... and of course no NFL network. All cable and phone companies are blood sucking whores. When Verizon took over in NYC, the montly bill doubled overtime. Cablevision advertises their triple play for $90 and by the time you pay every other fee, you end up paying $120.
  8. Despite what you think, the guy isn't a fat slob. He has quickness to him and when all else fails he can run thru linebackers. he has a very strong arm and a smooth throwing motion. The knock against him is he hasn't played in the NFL as a starter... but hey.. he knows how to play football. QBing comes down to knowing your play book really. And I've never heard of QB collapse because he's out of shape. Offensive linemen exert way more effort and they're much fatter. I don't think the kid is fat as you think he's.. right underneath the layer of fat are some huge muscles.. the kid is big... you can tell that by the way runs.. fat slobs don't and can't run like he does.
  9. I'm very happy with Lorenzen as our back up. Very.
  10. Cablevision has a monopoly on my area so they don't feel compelled to carry NFL Network.... assholes. But they have a ton of spanish channels among other lanugage... but no Arabic... assholes.
  11. Our QB situation is fine. Eli is our starter and Lorenzen is the back up. And I'm very comfortable with both.
  12. How do you remember all this? Don't you know forgetting certain things is what keeps us sane?
  13. Maybe if Plax gives 100% effort and doesn't play like a bitch we won't try to replace him.
  14. It's ok and understandable to look at improving every position. From what I understand Finn has a shoulder injury.. that's not to say I'm concerned.. what athlete doesn't get injured. We gave it a shot and the guy resiend with Houston... no one better than Finn is available...
  15. It's no wonder the Prince is far more popular than the King
  16. Luke was good last season... he probably had one more game left before his back starts hurting him again and let's not forget how many drives stalled becasue of his false starts. Not to mention he was taking about out of the salary cap. I'm sure the front office tried to replace him but look at the FA market.. was there anyone worth it? And maybe this FO knows something we don't.. like David Diehl? The guy maybe a moster LT or this Whimper Guy (Guy Whimper.. I Know.. lol). Lastly, our season tanked because our defense couldn't stop anyone.. offensively we were a top teir team.
  17. The only reason for that, imo, is that Toomer maybe retiring soon. Otherwise I would much rather see Toomer, Smith, and Moss on the field. And if we can't get our hands on the guy you just mentioned, who's to say we can't go after a star WR in FA?
  18. Everthing you said here is right on. Our offense was not the problem at all. We were third in the league in scoring I believe. But we know BadEgg is here for soundbites... I appreciate him.
  19. LMAO... I'm sending this to my friend (he's a die hard cowboy fan)
  20. I don't think that problem will be addressed any further. At this stage we're going in with the players we have not the players we wish we had
  21. That's what I've been thinking.
