  1. Good news is we beat the Washington football team and the great news is we have another opportunity to beat them again and end the season 2-14.
  2. I don't think Zeitler is hurt, just a lack of trust in the ability of Gates/Fleming. That is something which will improve.
  3. Gates is having his troubles just like every other offensive lineman. This year instead of having one or two players struggling, its all five. It doesn't mean they suck and need to be replaced but they need to iron out their individual play and work together to make up for the problems the guy next to him is experiencing. The line will gel eventually and Gates my be everything Columbo and the Giants believe Gates can be. Right now watching to see how they finish this season because I'm not expecting a turnaround next game.
  4. https://www.giants.com/news/giants-sign-wr-austin-mack-waive-wr-damion-ratley-ohio-state-buckeyes See now this is what I call progress which is why I still support Gettleman & Judge. Giants chose Damion Ratley over Corey Coleman and after 4 games, Ratley catches 4 passes for 67 yards in 10 targets. Then there is that penalty he committed that took away the Darius Slayton TD that would have changed the game against Dallas. He was brought in to compete and produce, failed to accomplish that and has been replaced. Didn't have to sit on the roster 1 more week or 12 more games to see if this was a good idea.
  5. Put your resume together and send it to whoever is closest to the Meadowlands to drop it off in person They might hire this guy next though...
  6. Lets see what the stats look like at the end of this season. I'd take the 2007 roster.
  7. Think a lot of you were delusional for the 49ers game, I sure was too. Won 15 games last season and just lost the super bowl and their drop off in talent from injuries doesn't even bring them down to the Giants level. We have a very long and tough climb out of the hole here. Have to start climbing out of the hole instead of digging deeper.
  8. Demarcus Lawrence gave Thomas a hard time sunday afternoon. Andrew Thomas is truly learning on the job here against top talent pass rushers every week.
  9. Wow best game Giants have played this year. Too many penalties, 3 just on Gates whom has taught me you can call an illegal shift on the center.
  10. I'm looking forward to it. Giants are going to need some RPO plays for Jones to get the offense moving against the Cowboys. I expect the defense to control the line of scrimmage and keep the game within reach.
  11. Once again I love the way IR works this year and hope they make it permanent. Minimum time is 3 weeks so lets see what happens.
  12. Yeah I think Patrick Graham is the guy we have been looking for. If this continues for the season, I'm left believing he is the best Giants defensive coordinator since John Fox. That is just based on this year, I don't know where his ceiling is because he is just getting maximum production from everyone on the field so far. He tells the players to let him think and all they have to do is run the play and let the results fall on him. Judge talks about how Graham's defense improved from their first meeting to the last one last year and how much the defense improved to the point that the Dolphins won the second game. That is really something we have been missing, results early on and improvement and accountability for the guys on the field. Spagnuolo was a fantastic DC for the NY Giants, but I think Graham is at another level. Just getting started if we can keep him long enough to bring the talent we have on the field to fruition.
  13. Food for thought The Giants cannot run the ball because of ineffective blocking from the offensive line and primary TE, all you have to do is stop the pass. Stopping one WR is not that hard for any team in the NFL in this scenario. I'm curious as to why Corey Coleman isn't back yet, he could definitely help Slayton out there.
  14. Nobody is perfect. Accorsi/Reese are getting credit for two Giants championships and we all agree they made some dumb moves while they were General Managers. Making dumb decisions is part of life, how you handle it what makes the difference. Gettleman has dropped players he drafted and signed who have not held up their end of the deal instead of letting the contract play out hoping for a return at some point.
  15. What do you tell everyone else that works in the industry?
  16. Shurmur pointing out Daniel Jones to Gettleman almost makes up for the two years of his head coaching the Giants.
  17. Giants win the Super Bowl by being the healthiest team during 2020 Corvid 18 pandemic panic
  18. These slow starts are killing us. Dropped passes, false starts, and some turnstile action from Fleming/Zeitler. Rams are a playoff team and the Giants played them for four quarters and nearly had them in the fourth quarter. So far not convinced Freeman is the best RB to start. I did enjoy Gates getting into it with Donald, almost made up for the high snap. It was good to see the Giants run some plays designed for Jones to keep the ball and that opened up our offense, problem is of course he is taking hits. Graham has convinced me he is the defensive coordinator to bring back the NY Giants defense. I want that second half offense to start the next game and see if we can win.
  19. Picture was taken from the boat dock.
  20. Only if he can block, throw and then catch his own pass for a first down.
  21. You see a game score Giants lose to 49ers 36 to 9 and automatically think "wow what a blowout win, Giants have no business playing in the NFL". When the 49ers beat the Jets 31 - 13, I thought the same thing. 49ers are a super bowl team, they have great starters and exceptional backups. The have a game plan that incorporates that talent and helps them win. Giants were in this game for 3 quarters before it blew open. Bad plays, penalties, ineffective offense is what killed the Giants. Quite a few notable plays: Bradberry is indeed a blackhole on the field. Williams can play up to his contract. Martinez can make meaningful tackles as he continues to rack up those numbers. Engram is our most talented player and plays as if he's already in Canton looking at his bust instead of the ball that he drops. Offensive line has to learn how to run block this month.
  22. You can put him anywhere you want, results are still disappointing.
  23. Yeah not sure what is up with Zeitler two games in. By the time he rose up from his stance, the defender was behind him. Must be hard for him to play next to a new center and tackle just as it is for Hernandez. Three new pieces on the offensive line and it takes time to get everyone on the same page.
  24. Name is deceptive, he is not playing for free
