  1. I really dont see how he did anything negative to the team. But hey guess we have to look forward to the new C.C.Brown to patrol the secondary.
  2. I'm just wondering who would the Giants have money to sign that you would think elevate the team? The only one I could think of is Suh and even that would put the Giant's in cap hell.
  3. Depth signing, and new blood needed on the already anemic O-line. Cheap to boot.
  4. I think this signing, with Jennings back and fourth health and Williams still earning his stripes, bring in the veteran guy who can do it all and help keep legs fresh. And a very reasonable contract at that as well. Good move by JR, basically gives MaccaNoodle more options then just having a statue RB stay in to block, cause this guy can make plays out of the backfield.
  5. Well when the team is as good as the Pats have been for the last 10 years, players there want to win, and the team seems to only sign guys who want to win. Meanwhile we have a mogo in JPP who is going to eat up 14 million in cap space and do nothing but rack up meaningless sacks in the last five games of the year.
  6. To be fair the Redskins have been imploding since Snyder bought the team.
  7. I think it's more of a verbal thing than anything else, the agent talks with the team, team talks with agent, agent reports back to player. I'm sure when something is agreed upon the team writes up the contract to be signed the moment FA begins, and with the advent of twitter and social media all it takes if a quick message from an "inside anonymous source" and a guy like Adam Sheftler breaks the news before FA begins. Now a days every big sports channel has their one analyst who has an "inside guy" on every team, just the type of world we are living in where news can be sent right in a matter of seconds when something happens. Maybe one day the NFL puts a stop to it, but until then it's ratings material.
  8. He had a good rookie season, has been a solid starter, nothing more nothing less. If he could be signed for the right price he would be a solid starter for the next few seasons, until they have room to get someone better.
  9. I still don't understand why some franchise player who ends up setting his team back 20 million a year against the cap, cant just one day decided to play for vet minimum after banking some money. Imagine if Eli just said "I have enough money, resign me to vet minimum for the next five years and go sign some players who will help us win" I understand the NFL is a multi-billion dollar business but I'm just surprised we havent seen this yet.
  10. A 3rd round pick, sure. Anything above that I'd rather just get another rookie like Beckham who will be with the team longer then four years. Not to mention reports are they are just going to cut him if they cant find a trade partner so just throw money at him instead.
  11. Paying about 6 million to much for him but hey maybe he'll bounce back.
  12. Oh fuck is that Schefter guy said it it's got to be true. I never liked when he left NFL network, he basically had any breaking news story a good day before it would come out anywhere else, don't know how but he's got to be the most connected guy in the NFL.
  13. Wasnt there some talk show host who did practically the same thing except it was "A big huge super duper mega secret" about the Obamarama administration that would completely destroy the fabric of America, then he just didnt say anything. I imagine this is the same case.
  14. You know I never understood the big shitfest the media/Giant's fans made over that.
  15. He just pushed people out of the way like they were paper. Never seen anyone do it like that. The only thing I'm thinking though is my how the might have fallen, I can't believe the Giants had a defense like that. Even Spags defense was prone to game plan adjusting since Spags solution to everything was "Send more DEs and leave everyone else open".
  16. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000470197/article/former-giant-terrell-thomas-announces-retirement Thought he was a good corner when he was healthy, just could never stay healthy. What's with the Giant's and ending players careers early, seems like a player every year just end up never playing the game again after a few seasons with the Giants.
  17. Frankly tree after driving through Saskatchewan many times, I don't know how any lives out there, you either live in Regina, or 10 hours from Regina. Being a postman has got to be a hard job in that province.
  18. Oh sweet baby jebus we got the Weyburn kid. I wanted the Bluebombers to draft him in 2013, went to Calgary instead and the Blue bombers got some corner who cant stay healthy. He's a corn raised Saskatchewan kid, doesnt know the meaning of finesse, only knows how to push things at a very fast rate. Hope he can transition.
  19. http://www.nfl.com/videos/new-york-giants/0ap3000000468072/Odell-Beckham-throws-down Aint having no problem trying to impress James. Wonder how long before he leaves the Giant's for the highest paid WR contract in NFL history. Sarcasm by the way.
  20. I still don't understand why this guy was drafted in the first round. I mean I don't think I recall a single positive analysis on the guy, when compared to Carr and the other QBs taken last year. Was it basically the Tebow effect of having a rabid college fanbase behind the name?
  21. Are you talking about Spags or Fewell cause it can apply to both. Edit; didnt see Storm posted it as well heh.
  22. Money. He lights up the pro-bowl (which he did from what I seen) and he gets more of the Cruz treatment. He's probably the best WR the NY market has ever seen, he aint dumb and neither is his agent.
