LOL!

did you catch Tomlinson claiming that their OC threw a playoff game so he could go interview for a head coach job? As time goes by, I understand more and more that Eli made the right call for himself.

Cam Cameron...now that's a blast from the past. He left the Chargers and subsequently went to Miami and sabotaged his own career with a 1-15 head coaching record, getting fired after just one year.

He then went onto to become the Raven's OC for a few years...got canned from that...and the very next year, the Ravens won the super bowl, lol.

He then went to become a mere position coach in college and hasn't been back in the NFL since.

Wow I remember him.  After a bad head coaching gig... these guys would do well to disappear into Division I and/or better Division II football in college.  Careers that last 15-25 years by just being ex NFL and staying quiet.

Good for a laugh with some of these Charger/Eli takes.

Chargers fans just love the fact they won nothing with Rivers yet we have two rings over Brady's Patriots with Eli... oh well they can go to their graves with that stuff.

Also bullshit Chargers fans there was only one LT and that was and is Lawrence Taylor.  Your ersatz LT don't mean shit outside of that bs city called San Diego.  The Chargers even left your asses...

I don't get the hate of Mahomes. Kids a legit talent, and amazing to watch. Brady either. We beat him in the games most important game. Twice. But I'm a Yankee fan so I do understand people hating winners. Well, at least past winners.

And Eli, well I guess if some rookie told the Giants he was too good for us I'd have a hate on for him too so, I guess in a roundabout way I'd pick Eli in that scenario.

I think the hate has more to do with the whining to the refs and bitching when things dont go his way....."Worst call Ive seen in my life!" etc etc. Bitch - the refs have been giving the Chiefs favourable calls since the beginning - every time Mahomes has an INT some mysterious holding or PI call comes up. The Chiefs OL is fucking holding the fuck out the the DL but the refs turn a blind eye and he runs for 7 yards and immediately they spew bullshit like "THATS SHEER GRIT DETERMINATION AND WILL FROM MAHOMES!!!". With Brady it was the same - bitching to the refs for a penalty if someone's pinky touches him. No matter how talented these 2 were, the bitching is what creates that hate.

Hell for that matter - Eli was being peeled from the turf the entire game against the 49ers in the playoffs and he didnt utter a word.

What happened is that Eli told the Chargers he did not want to go there.  They agreed both sides to keep the rejection quiet.  Then the Chargers up and draft him so as to extort extra picks from the Giants.  It happens all of the time and fuck the Charger fans...

I think another big part of it was simply New York over San Diego......New York offered Eli an abundance of off the field commercial and media opportunities he is still milking to this very day....not to mention a lifetime support from one of the oldest, most loyal and largest fan bases in the NFL.

San Diego....was then and is now.....LA Adjacent ......which even the Chargers eventually figured out when and they had to move to LA.

Old Man Archie was a pretty savvy operator for a guy from Mississippi.

Lets also not forget the Charger fans boosting and sticking that trade up our ass when it paid off for them early as we waited for Eli to get his legs under him. If River, Merriman and Keading every won a Super Bowl...they still would be sticking it in our ass.

For sure... you also would hear tons about their ersatz LT... Ladalian Thomlimson and or some shit.  Not the real LT Lawrence Taylor, the best defensive player in the NFL ever that changed the game forever.   Chef's Kiss.  I spent a year in San Diego for my first incomplete PhD in psychology.  It is a great town/city with a huge inferiority complex.  Decent beaches, a kick ass zoo, roads to nowhere with a border to Mexico... just wanted to be LA so bad... with Navy ports and a Marine base all up in their ass.  San Diego just bites otherwise.

You want to be playing in NY, LA, DC, Miami and/or Dallas to ensure you post season exposure.  As far as TV goes you can't miss with NY, LA and DC.  Money from the sky.  Fuck San Diego.  Didn't the basketball Clippers leave that place as well?  Don't care enough to look and/or know really.  That is a huge problem for most of these second tier places... New Yorkers could not care less about what they do and/or don't think.  It is like the wind blowing the rain.  It exists and you just wear a rain suit or use an umbrella.  Normative people don't rail at it. :)

Bro... tons of those assholes would say LT.... for the sane ones they would say LDT.  I would wear my Giants gear proudly there.  Went into a cool bar and a Marine asshole said the LDT is the real LT.  Two of his Marine bros said hold up there.  I found out one was from Dallas and another from DC who had witnessed LT destroying the Broke Backs and the Washington Epithets..  It was a great scene.  I finally told him... look at some NFL film and get back to me.. It was 2000 when that happened... 24 years ago.
